The back of the trailer wasn't clean. We had to sweep it out and spot mop it so it wouldn't get our stuff dirty. We rented a trailer for 8 days, then returned it in 6 days and was told there is no refunds on the difference. What a joke! Won't be renting from this location again.ERIK B.
The trailer lights worked when first connected. Then they no longer worked the following day (Friday). The Boise location confirmed the trailer lights were not working. The safety chain attachments were not designed to work with all tow vehicles. Boise confirmed this.BRIAN O.

The lady was super friend welcoming me to the store. But after that my respect for the company went down hill quick. I was handed keys to my 26 foot truck and had to hike in snow to the very end of the parking lot. Usually they have your truck waiting for you. I had to go spend 30 minutes cleaning 4- 6 inches of snow off and wait for the thick layer of ice to melt off the wind shield. I drove back up to the front door and told the lady I couldn't open up the rolling door. We then spent 5 to 10 minutes trying to get the door open. If for some weird reason my wife had to go pick up the truck I would have been pissed that she had to do all of that. Common on U-Haul.David E.
Parking is an issue. Huge parking lot, but no designated parking spots so you kind of just stop somewhere. The person checking out my van did not have it up by the office and it was out by the road, which is about 50 yards away. I am disabled and it was a painful challenge. She was also very stoic and not friendly, like I was a bother.JOHN S.
The car transport trailer I rented was covered in frozen mud, ice, and snow. Had to ask for a hammer to break the frozen mud free from the left ramp. Before I turned the trailer in I hosed all the mud off it. The tires were underinflated on the truck. I had to go to a tire shop to get them aired up properly. The truck pulled to the right.JAY S.

When we received the truck, the interior of the cab was good. When we got to our storage unit to load up our stuff, we opened the back of the truck and the smell of weed just pours out of the back. All of our belongings smell like weed now and it was very disappointing. On our drive, We have two hours left of our trip and the whole trailer wheel comes flying off and we had to pull off to the side of the road. After we had to leave the trailer there because we could not get a new one, I notice that one of the lights on the uhaul truck stops working. The last two times I've rented something from UHaul, the app sent me to a location that either did not have the equipment requested - or was closed unexpectedly. In both instances, employees were extremely helpful. However, the app definitely needs some work. Perhaps verification of equipment at the location or feedback from the location before a customer shows up to pick it up would be helpful. Today, the rental was not available in a timely fashion and I was unable to finish the work because it was too late in the day. Very disappointing. Once again, this does not reflect poorly on the workers. They were all well trained and helpful. The app and link to equipment availability really needs additional work.Lee N.

I was shocked to be charged a $21 fuel surcharge on my rental, after driving a total of seven miles. The fuel gauge was at the exact same position when I picked up and returned the rental.PETER P. | Premières impressions
The staff member who helped me wasn't very helpful or clear on where to gain access to indoor storage. When I came in the afternoon to start putting my property in the unit, there was only one person working to cover all aspects of service. I had to hunt him down to get help in knowing how to access the building. When I got to my unit, there was a lock on it. I had to contact the staff member to have him remove the lock. There is little that U-Haul could find that wasn't perfect with my experience. I've never rented anything from U-Haul and was quite nervous but the staff was so helpful and had an upbeat attitude that it totally relaxed me. The truck we rented was clean and perfect for our situation. I strongly feel that U-Haul should look into giving the staff at the location I rented from a raise and pat on the back. I will definitely rent with Uhaul for all my hauling needs.Tracy W.

The staff is made of teenage kids. I've had this storage unit for almost a year and everytime I've tried to call to make a payment they put me on hold for over 20 minutes. Then eventually it goes to voicemail, the voicemail says their closed, Hours before their online hours tell you. So if that happens on the day your payment is due it means you get a late charge... not $5 not 10 % but a whooping $25. All because those kids refuse to answer the phone. So if you don't physically plan on walking into the building to pay your bill every month, expect a late fee charge. But even if you do, expect a bunch of kids who are just flirting with each other and treat you like your annoying them. Then if you call the cooperate office they just tell you to pay the bill online... Good luck figuring that out. In order to make an online account you need your account number, which if you don't keep your original rental agreement, then noone else apparently knows how to find it... Don't even try asking the teenagers, they have no clue. But yes it's clean and it appears to have plenty of cameras and anti-theft options. But it's your stuff and if you don't have the time to go in to the building every month to pay, or can't get someone to figure out how to sign you up for an online account. Then expect to overpay... I have never worked with a better U-Haul location than the one in Ammon. They were so very helpful we ran into trouble with not being able to return our truck on the day we thought we would and they let us know that everything would be fine and work with us. Scheduler and people at the shop were great, the online system has issues - It said it only had trucks in three locations in our town, then when I selected one it emailed me that the pick up location was in a town 4 hours away. I had to call the scheduler, and had to go through someone who was less helpful to get to the scheduler.MATTHEW D.

No instructions were given on documenting fuel (which was wrong on the contract) or previous damages. I returned the truck with more fuel than when I left and I got charged for extra fuel after returning since they had documented to fuel level incorrectly. Why do I have to do their job for them? Honor your posted & quoted prices! Prices posted on the wall stated 1 month free rent and the clerk wouldn't honor the price because it had expired. The same with the trailer rental. The price said $14,95 and it confirmed the price before starting the paperwork and then when she was about to charge my card she said the actual price was $30. She charged by card and it noticed the total came to $37. I asked her why and she said the price was $30 something, not $30. We had already signed a contract for the storage unit and needed the trailer, otherwise I wouldn't have rented the trailer. False advertising and illegal. I won't be back and don't recommend using this facility.TINA D.

Keep the no contact info used to pick up the vehicle consistent with what's in the app. The key was in the wrong location and we were given 2 codes. The first code didn't relate to the box it said it was in. Since the store wasn't open yet to talk to someone, we just tried all the other boxes and found the key in a different box. Then the uhaul we rented was located out by the front of the parking lot being used as advertisement - when the app said it was on the left side of the building. I was under the impression that the $200 I paid for the movers to load up the boxes also paid for the unloading. It wasn't until the movers had come to unload and had completely finished that they informed me that I owed them another $200 for unloading the boxes. Was definitely not nice.Rachel B.

There was no handicapped parking. Parking spots for trailers was not marked so I ended up having to move my car even further from the door. This made walking to first park my car and go in, only to find I had walk back out to move my car further away and walk back extremely difficult. Had to walk across the parking lot. I'm in a knee brace. Then wrong dolly. Had to go back and pick up the one I was supposed to have. (Flat furniture dolly). Then went to put things in Unit.
