Customer Service Rep, Jade, was so very helpful and friendly. She actually asked us about our experience with the truck when we returned it. When we got there to attach the car pull trailer to the 15' truck, the brake light and turn signals did not work. We wasted an hour trying to narrow down the problem. We determined it was a fuse, but there were no mechanics on hand. The girl who was helping us was great though she tried everything she could to get us going.TRYSTON B.

The cargo van smelled of gas. The staff had to have know this because the windows were cracked open to air out the inside of the passenger area. Also, there was an â€œerrorâ€ when I tried to upload my drivers license prior to rental. Nothing uploaded for me to send my license.RICHARD L.

I used the 24/7 drop off, and it was easy. Once I arrived at the location, on-line I had to answer some questions, take some pictures, and drop off the key. Nice that I could do it on my schedule, not theirs.HAROLD B.
Provide a receipt. I was promised a receipt when I dropped off (had to go in because no one came out, contrary to what the sign said). Never received. I went to this location because it was closer. Wish I had stayed with the Edgewater location I used before. Much better service.Mark B.

Customer Service reps were excellent. However, during my trip, the hydraulic brake cover for the trailer came off and leaked brake fluid out of the reservoir, all over my car, and I lost brakes on the trailer for the rest of the trip. I was on hold "forever" calling u-haul to inform them of the incident. but, I made it safely to and from my destination with no hard done.DONALD W.

The last truck that I rented had very high miles, engine light kept turning on and the cap was missing. Thrice was also heavily dented. The last trailer I rented was extremely old and I barely could get the rooftop door to open and close, Please upgrade your old equipment or I will have to start using Hurts or Budget Trucks.Allen T.

The truck was returned after hours on the day of the rental (due back 2 days later), but they didn't know it was back until they called me 2 days after I returned the truck. I dropped the key in the after-hours box as instructed. Also, the trailer *was* returned during hours, but I didn't receive the receipt until days later.Tom R.

My vehicle was switched at the last minute so I did not receive the appropriate info about the miles on the vehicle. I was told it was good to go and just to bring it back with half a tank. I have rented before and did the same route and it was only 75 miles that I drove but I was charged for 115 miles. No way I drove an extra 40 miles.James R.

Customer service- the lady that assisted me when I went to pickup the truck was not friendly at all. She was very nonchalant and not welcoming. The 2 men that I interacted with when I dropped of the truck were both VERY VERY Pleasant, and they were welcoming.Kourtney W.
Was charged for cleaning because the uhaul app would not allow me to add photos to prove it was clean. Added photos and only got an error message. The app is a pain and I will not be using Uhaul again because of these errorsMeredith L.

Everything there was fine (people/place). However, I reserved a unit on my own and it was no longer available. I ended up having to spend MORE money each month because of this. You should be honest when people "RESERVE" ahead of time and let them know if they NEED that size storage unit, the should reserve a larger one because theirs will not be available when they arrive. This is somewhat false advertising. STICK TO YOUR WORD! If I reserve something, this is precisely what I expect when I get there. Not having to find something else!!! RESREVATIONS are made on purpose. Have it available if you want customers to return in the future. Overall very easy experience. Long line to pick-up truck because there was some major issue with a customers reservation, but once that was cleared up, the line went smoothly. Turn in was great. No hassles...truck was fine, but certainly not cleaned in the back.DavidJ- J.

Our experience with Uhaul was horrible. We reserved a 20 foot truck three weeks in advance of our move, and on 10/30 (the day before our move) we received a call telling us the reservation had been dropped. All they could do for us was book a 15 foot truck. When we arrived to the location the morning of our move, they had no truck for us. We were basically tearing our hair out, and when I called Uhaul asking for a second 50 $refund because our reservation had been dropped TWICE, the woman I spoke to informed me that we lost our truck because we checked in late, which we did not. Thankfully, at the last second, David, a nice young man at the 2115 West St location was able to get us a 10 foot truck. Overall, I was astonished at this level of incompetency. The next time we move, we are going to try our absolute best to use another moving truck service.Anna M.

After having my reservation confirmed the day before pickup I was told upon arrival that they did not have the equipment I had reserved. It was until they were able to swap a truck with another customer for the trailer I reserved that I was able to proceed with the day's planned move. U-haul has to do something about taking reservations for equipment they cannot provide.They use as an out small print in the reservation confirmation "if available". BTW their confirmation is only to confirm they received your request, not that they will have the equipment you requested. I will ALWAYS use an alternative and tell my friends and colleagues to do the same. They are just not reliable!Peter J.

When I picked up the trailer I rented, I found one of the tail lights was out. The staff responded quickly, courteously and replaced the light so I could be on my way safely and legally. My storage was bought (Extra Space). I had automatic payments setup. I was charged a late and lied fee when I didn't reply to the notice. Storage facilities can be hit or miss. The staff availability was low, but given everything with COVID that's understandable. The locker I rented had a lock that didn't prevent the unit from being opened, were it a long term rental I would have had them fit it with the proper lock. PLEASE READ COMMENTS ALREADY SUBMITTED. I DO NOT WISH TO REPEAT. NOTHING AGAINST GUYS ON THE RECEIVING END. BUT THE SALESPERSON ON PHONE NEEDS TO BE TRAINED IN HOW TO BE MORE SPECIFIC IN DESCRIPTIONS OF STORAGE UNIT ABOUT TO BE FILLED FROM LARGEST SIZED UHAUL TRAILER TO NOT MAKE IT SO AWKWARD, WE WOULD STILL BE UNLOADING THIS MORNING FROM YESTERDAY AT NOON IT SEEMS. WAS HORRIBLE FIT FOR MY NEEDS. THEY DID ACCOMMODATE ME TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY, But would have preferred honesty or better description in the original sales talk on phone so i could have been prepared to go to another Uhaul storage if necessary. The company is so shoddy and badly organized that they don't even realize that I'm not a new customer. I've been at the storage facility for over a year. My first contact with them was when they spammed me trying to sell me insrance. My second contact was when they told me I had a late fee because they weren't getting the automatic payment that I set up ages ago.
