My only two comments is when I put the new I guess it was a fan system above the Entry in the building my unit was in you could open up the door at the end the whole way to my unit I had to bring stuff out close the door take it out the entrance. Pick up was delayed due to a failed left tail light. The repair technician has to be called in to troubleshoot the problem and ended up having to install a brand new tail light. Apparently, the trailer was not inspected properly when it was returned from the last rental. The problem should have been detected and fixed then.EDMUNDO B.

Great staff and decent facility - not quite as nice as other self storage places but it's pretty clean! Everyone of the employees were super accommodating and extremely friendly. Jade had us on the road in no time. The truck cabin was spotless as well as the storage. I've rented Uhauls before and helped atleast twenty of my friends move in the past ten years. The Annapolis location at 2115 Weet St made this the easiest move ever. I will be back and recommend this location to anyone. The gentleman that greeted us when we returned the truck were great. Super friendly as well and had us out of there in no time. I work downtown as a bartender and will recommend this crew to everyone. Thanks for making this the smoothest move ever!FRANCIS P.
When returning equipment, personnel should immediately provide dated and time stamped receipt for equipment being returned. They do not do this at this site--they simply said leave the equipment and you will get a receipt by the end of the day via email. I still haven't received that receipt.Michael R.

You have a very difficult time accessing the location if you'd are coming from in town to this spot. You have to either make an illegal turn or go farther, find a parking lot and turn around in a big truck to get there. Do not use this location to drop off.Judith W.

My check with the rep was a breeze. Upon return, the curbside rep was rude, and short with me. As I waited in the truck for return check-in for 5 mins, I started towards the side door to enter and he simply said, you will receive your receipt in an email and any refund charge back to your card. I knew I was due a refund, so I replied, I will wait for the receipt. After checking the truck, he stated there would be a 10 $cleaning fee for foot prints in the front and a few grains of dirt in the back. The truck had been broom swept clean by my moving helpers and that was outrageous. They took and old rag from my trunk and wiped both areas clean and I got my full refund. That was totally unnecessary. Had I not waited there would have been a long drawn out process for me to get my money back or my word against his that the truck was NOT returned in such an unclean state that required crew/professional cleaning. I may refer a friend, but I will certainly warn them about the return trick.SHAMBRA W.

The customer service and tech guys went above and beyond to help me troubleshoot an issue with my truck's electrical system after the hitch install. After I had stopped in without an appointment, they stayed after closing time and successfully fixed the issue and saved me from having to bring the truck back another day. The issue had been a fuse that had been burned out due to a user error.Jesse F.

First, we were switched to a location for truck pickup that added 10 miles to our trip at $.99 a mile. Then the first two trucks had the wrong mileage and bad engine lights lit. The third truck had the red engine light lit, but we were told that this was due to the gas cap and not an issue. All of this took about 45 minutes to resolve, putting us behind schedule. It's hard to know what would have happened at our first choice of location since that office was not open that day, so in some sense I'm glad we had office support to get a truck we didn't have to worry about. Do I trust Uhaul trucks now? I'll check out the competition next time.JOSEPH O.

Apparently my call was routed to a central booking center from the internet and not the facility in Annapolis that I wanted. The call center provided me with the storage units I wanted and a confirmation number when I got to the Annapolis facility 15 min later those storage units were not available. This was very discouraging. However, Billy at the Annapolis facility on West St. Was very accommodating and helped me find a comparable unit. The staff in the office needs more training. It would be nice if it was open earlier as the before hour box never seems to work. Two major issues that caused me to be an hour late! 1. The lock on the lock box was stuck, so I had to wait until the location was open 2. No dolly in the truck! So if the lockbox would have worked, I would still had to wait for the location to open!Jimmy A.

Service was great but the truck straight up died on me. Couldn't be revived with a jump bc the starter was bad. The uHaul team was helpful and apologetic but the truck issue really threw a wrench into my moving day plans and required that I leave all my stuff in the truck in a parking lot awaiting repair of the truck. IF YOU ARE ON THE FENCE ABOUT CHOSING THIS PLACE, JUST GO FOR IT--YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. I went there yesterday to rent a storage unit. I had no idea whatsoever what I wanted because I had never done this before. The assistant waited on me immediately. He allowed me to explain my situation without interrupting. Then he told me what is available, and the gentlemen showed me fantastic "real" examples of the various sizes of the bins and their prices. (They have walk-in samples right there in the office).I also was happy to get a "deal" of the first month free! They let me ask questions and answered all of them very thoroughly. They did not push me to make a decision. They were extremely patient and polite. Also, everyone's appearance was impeccable. As for their store? Unbelievably clean, well lit and bright fresh paint on all items (orange). The grounds (the actual storage area outside) was also clean and well-paved. I feel that my stuff is safe at this facility 1st, because the staff exuded "trust," and 2nd because they have an excellent security system. Plenty of parking. First let me say that everyone at Uhaul, at every location I've ever been to, is amazing, helpful, and provides a great customer experience! The Annapolis, West Street location was no exception - I truly felt like everyone I encountered had my best interests at heart and I was well taken care of. The facility, however, was a slightly different story. I've been a customer at Extra Space Storage in Baltimore, Tucson, and San Diego over the last few years, and while I realize that each facility is different - I've always been pleased with the state of the buildings being well built, dry (or very little evidence of leaking,) and readily available carts. But Extra Space has gotten quite expensive over the years, and it was no longer cost-effective to stay there so I switched to Uhaul after pricing 9 different facilities in my area, mainly because the customer service AND price were so great! The main office and grounds are fine at the West Street location, but going into my building (F) it immediately smelled moldy and musty. Furthermore, my unit showed signs of serious water damage - pink mold on the brick wall that likely weeps when it rains, and substantial rusting along the bottom foot of the metal walls. My understanding was that my unit was the only one of it's size available - potentially on the first floor - and after 6 hours of downsizing and moving from one storage facility to this one, with no sign of carts, and an impending rainstorm, I just wanted to unload as quickly as possible and get it all over with. Otherwise, I would have asked to see any other potential units. I have renters insurance and packed and stacked with potential water damage in mind, but I would be remiss if I didn't share how concerned I am given the state of the unit. The price is right, for now, but if it's raised like most others are I will likely find a different facility.PIPER W. | Premières impressions

The excellent rating is for the professional and courteous manner in which your customer service representative, Michael Walker, handled the arrangement for me to rent the Uhaul moving truck I used and the storage unit. He is very knowledgeable and capable in doing his job and getting exactly what the customer needs. The truck I used was very clean and ran well and the storage unit was very clean and easy to access. The process for renting the storage unit was easy. The customer service I received from the staff was outstanding. We shared a few laughs and they explained to me how the facility worked. The issue I have is the hours and the passcode access. I would liked to have access to the storage unit 24/7. The major issue is the passcode. The passcode I was given does not work. I was then given a second passcode that did not work. I was given a third passcode that did not work and then given a forth passcode that did not work. I am still without a passcode and that is frustrating. Because of your convenient office hours I was able to get the staff to assist me. My storage was bought (Extra Space). I had automatic payments setup. I was charged a late and lied fee when I didn't reply to the notice. The company is so shoddy and badly organized that they don't even realize that I'm not a new customer. I've been at the storage facility for over a year. My first contact with them was when they spammed me trying to sell me insrance. My second contact was when they told me I had a late fee because they weren't getting the automatic payment that I set up ages ago.
