Lighting over my unit 1299 seems to go off on a timer even though I am still inside. Sometimes there are not enough grey push carts in the unloading bay. Ashley (and others) have been a helpful and coeteous while working on my move in. Thank you all.

LMy experience with this Uhaul shop was like something out of a clickbait horror story article on social media. On short notice, I needed to move and store my stuff in December '23. I drive OTR and need to park my car as part of the storage. Shopping around, I found this Uhaul facility, which looked like it had an enormous parking lot due to its previous use as a Kmart. When I called U-Haul about renting a unit, I was abundantly, EMPHATICALLY clear about the need to park my car as well. I asked three different ways to make sure there was no confusion, and was told that would be fine. I also made sure they understood that my truck would be there for a couple of days while I was moving, since they did not have an appropriate towing trailer, and I would have to make an additional trip to go get my car, my truck would be there while I was bussing back to retrieve my car. Moving day came. When I arrived to pick up the moving truck, I again confirmed that parking my car would be no problem, and specifically asked about video surveillance so I would not have to worry about my car being vandalized. I parked my truck where the staff directed me to, got in the moving truck, and went to go get my stuff. I pushed myself physically and got things moved a day ahead of schedule, finishing late at night. I still needed to go get my car, and spent the night in the truck on the lot. Early the next morning, management woke me up by beating on my door and reprimanded me about having the truck there. I explained that it was only temporary as per the original agreement and I would move it after I got back with my car. It took 2 days nonstop by bus to get my car thanks to Greyhound's lovely route schedules. It should have been a red flag that they tried to throw me out in the middle of the move-in process. Couple months went by, everything seemed fine. Then, coming home after a trip on Tuesday, March 5 and found a parking ticket on my car, but it was not filled out. So I took the ticket to the police station to ask about it. I was told they would not have put that on the car unless someone had called it in, and that was just a warning that gave me 72 hours to move (Friday.) So I thought maybe one of the other businesses on the lot called it in, and I should park closer to the Uhaul entrance to avoid confusion. When I got back to the U-Haul to ask them if they knew anything about it, I was told I needed to talk to Ashley, who was out of the office that day. So I came back to talk to Ashley the next day. She confirmed that she had called it in and if I didn't move my car it would be towed. She said it was an insurance matter, but Ohio requires car registrants to carry insurance, and Uhaul insists that storage tenants record their car info in the lease, so that's a lie. I explained that I thought I was allowed to park there, and asked if she could work with me and give me some time to find another location. Her answer was a no, phrased as a yes. She said she would give me until Friday. The police had already told me that Friday was the earliest she could have it towed. So her idea of "working with" someone means she won't have your car illegally towed, commonly known as grand theft auto. How considerate. This may have been the result of miscommunication between staff and management. No matter. Speaking as a businessman myself, this was a complete botch by Ashley. If I had a customer who was interested in a long-term arrangement with one of my more expensive products and paid automatically, I would happily make a concession of otherwise unused parking space. So I found storage with your competitor, Life Storage/Extra Space. They have leased parking available. It costs more, but at least I won't have to worry about my car being towed on a whim. The general staff at this Uhaul facility was good to work with and the facility itself is very nice, but Ashley's management methods and style are best described as "crazy ex-girlfriend."

Lower your prices, let customers know to clean out the truck rental, if they don't they'll be charged. I was not aware of this issue when I returned my tuck rental. Then was charged 15 for a cleaning.

The truck was shaking, a maintenance code was on it and it had 1/4 gas for a one-way out of town instead of full tank. There are no truck stop near the Uhaul. I had difficult time getting gas.

Def not If you're gonna get charged a bogus price like I did $60 because I returned it 1,5 days later ONLY because I was sick as a dog,couldn't move and def wouldn't wanna bring my contagious germs to everyone there!! But next time I won't be so considerate and think of other's first because ik myself and few people have money to just throw away especially when ur not using the equipment just sat in my driveway big difference 5days for $15 plus I paid for insurance $40 1,5 for$60 ??? Something definitely isn't right with that situation Sorry that's just mindblowing to me had to speak on it 5days =$56 1,5=$60 CRAZY

The only issue I had was I had to go clear across the lot to get the truck and than after we were leaving I recieved an email to check the numbers on the truck with my paperwork and make sure there was no damages on the truck. Any other time they had the truck in front and we would go over it together. There was no damages, however if there was one was I gonna get the blame. So I was concerned because they have always check it with me before I took the truck.

All staff members were customer oriented. I completed the pre-check in before arrival so I had my vehicle and was on my way in less than 15 minutes. When returning vehicle, in was in and out in less than five minutes. Excellent service.

I reserved a 15ft truck for 7:30pm Saturday 11/18/23 on Monday 11/13/23. When I got there, I did the check-in process through the website since the location was closed for the day. I found my truck and then when I was instructed to get the key from the lock box, there weren't any keys in it. The person I was chatting with on the website stopped answering my questions so I called customer service. She talked me through opening all of the lock boxes and there was only a key for a 10ft truck, that would be too small for my needs. I told her I would come back the next morning at 9am when they opened to get the key. She put in for a $50 guarantee for me because of the trouble I ran into. I ended up being at the lot for an hour. The next day I went in and got the key, asked about the $50 guarantee. The employee working said that he already extended my rental until 7:30 am Monday, hoping to avoid having to give me the $50. I said, well I reserved the truck for 24 hours and now I'm not getting that so it should be extended no matter what. He said I would need to talk to the manager. When I returned the truck on Monday morning, I spoke with the manager who said that she personally put the keys in the lock box and someone else must have rented the truck before I got there and there was nothing she could do about it. I don't understand how I reserve a truck 5 days in advance and then when I get there someone else must have rented it first? How is that? Also, she said, well my employee came up her to get the key for you at 9:30pm. I was there from 7:30pm until 8:30pm talking to customer service. They never mentioned someone bringing a key, nobody called me to say someone was bringing a key and why should I have waited another hour for a key that was supposed to be available to me at 7:30pm. This is just horrible customer service all around. The manager didn't even say she was sorry for the mix up or anything. Just very matter of fact told me she put the key in the lock box personally and that there was nothing she could do for me.

Future customers---be aware that U-haul will charge your card twice. Once for the full amount of the anticipated charge and then again the full amount of the actual charge when the equipment is returned.

My only complaint is that the lighting that is apparently on motion detectors doesn't stay lit very long. When we were in the storage area we had to keep walking down the hallway and waving our arms to get the lights to turn back on so that we could see what we were doing.

Drove a Pickup from there for 24 miles total, they tell you to fill the truck back up when you are finished, I don't believe they had the previous driver fill it all the way. It took 5 gallons of gas which is less than 5 miles per gallon and most of the mileage was highway at 55mph.. really disappointed.

Can't find a lazy ass to install a trailer hitch on a car Can't find anyone local who will answer a phone beside one in az.one in Michigan... Please note that the truck was clean when we picked it up. But, while driving it to my residence, the check engine light came on and I called the store immediately. They suggested that I call UHaul roadside assistance. I did this and was told that light will come on when truck needs maintenance ( tune ups, oil changes, etc). I should not be worried and could safely operate the truck. I did and had no problems. My only comment is that this is unnerving to customers and tends to make people nervous about operating a truck with the check engine light on. Everyone involved was helpful , but I would suggest a different approach to maintenance so that customers don't get these kind of suprises. Thank you. To follow up on this issue, I drove to Pittsburgh and back to OHio in this truck. During the return trip to Ohio, the light went away. I told the drop off location about this.

The sensor for the light in the hallway for unit 1722 was not as sensitive for movement pick up and it took a few tries to get it to turn the light on. Also, maybe extend the time the light stays on as when in the unit, I needed to go out repeatedly to walk the hallway to get the sensor to turn the light back on. Other than that, I found the staff and facility both wonderful. Will gladly recommend to others.

I signed up online and was supposed to have first month free rent. Ashley did not honor this at her location even though the website allowed me to choose this location with the promotion. It cornered me into having to borrow money from a family member as my funding availability was too low to afford it myself. If a certain location is not honoring certain promotions the website should reflect that. Was the worst experience I've ever had with storage units. She thought she was doing me a favor my giving me the rental for U-Haul an extra day but I had already spoken to customer service about that because the system went down and I wasn't able to access my truck return nor my storage unit online. It was a system wide outage. Had I not needed to be at this location due to the size of storage I needed I'd have taken a storage unit at a different location.

The manager Ashley was nice enough to extend my rental for free due to a system outage that prevented me from returning my U-Haul at my originally scheduled time. However, I signed up online for a storage unit as well as the U-Haul rental and there was a promotion for first month free for storage. She would not honor that promotion even though the website allowed me to choose that location for storage with first month rent for free. I ended up having to borrow money in order to pay for the storage unit because I had no time to reschedule at a different location and the austintown location is closest to my house which is why I choose that location in the first place.

The management and staff at this U-Haul facility were very professional and helpful in my time of need. They explained everything to me and helped me get the best unit for my needs. When I waited in the door I was greeted and they took their time with me and helped me through rental of two trucks and a storage unit . I want to acknowledge. Lady at the call center in Texas wasn't real helpful, I realize I was close on time but was wanting a 15ft truck for 4 hours early on the Sat the 2nd and she could only find one at 3 o'clock. Young man at local office in Austintown phone rang and rang on Friday and when he answered put me on hold for 6 minutes and never came back. I called back again to ask my questions he was very vague. The next day come to find out the truck had been returned at 7am so we waited all day til 3 to find this out! Employees are not helpful!

It was annoying to have my rent charge go up twice in the year I had to use the service when there were literally no changes. You mean I have to spend an extra $10 a month just to not move my stuff at all? The storage unit is the same size, no extra amenities or service, but for NO changes at all I owe more money? Stupid. Other then that, it was fine.

two employees james and dustin were huge helps with getting my unit started because the previous uhaul i was moving from messed up all of my information and james helped me fix it! and dustin helped mr. move some thing around in my unit, both were very helpful 👍

The air conditioning unit in the truck did not work, it was almost 90 degrees that day, Friday 07/01/22. When I returned the truck I mentioned that point to the receptionist, she exclaimed "air conditioning is a luxury and nothing you would have serviced." Also she charged me $33 for gas which I felt was excessive, I was not that much below the initial little over a half a tank that was in the truck when I picked it up!

The storage facility was excellent, Appreciated the security of it and the cleanliness. Only reason not rated excellent was upon arrival to the storage facility to pick up a truck we reserved we were told we had to go to another facility, I never received a text message that the facility for pick up was changed, Luckily the pick up facility was only 3 miles away. There was possibly a phone call but with all the spam calls received I don't answer calls that are not identified and no voice mail message was left. The truck was very clean and we were offered a discount to return it to another facility a few miles from our new home.

I rented tokens a vehicle in it and was not told on the website you could not actually use the vehicle with fuel in it. It was a corporate issue, others in the area you can pulling and out as you use the vehicle.

You need more workers. One person working and 4 people waiting inline makes a long WAIT. I also rented some of the wheels carts for large items. I needed two. Walk with the girl to check every truck to get a second one. Could not find the second one. Tried to return the first one because it was no help with out the second one. Girl would not refund the money on the first one but did the second. That is crazy! I needed two not one. So I paid for something I never used because you didn't have two.

The made my experience much better. When I picked up my u-haul they gave me the wrong truck and the truck they gave me had a homeless man sitting in it smoking. I had to sterilize the truck and it smelled really bad. There were ashes on the floor.

Someone should make sure there are carts at both entrances. We spent more time chasing them down. Also some moving devices (rectangles with wheels) for longer big items would be helpful. Large items are to heavy to carry through the building that don't fit on your small carts.

I loved renting from Uhaul! They are so convenient, it's as if they've thought of everything you need to store things as easily, safely and quickly as possible. The units I rent are on the temperature controlled side and it's warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I can sit in my unit and go through my items for hours without freezing/sweating to death...brilliant! The temperature control also keeps my fragile electronics from breaking. Win win. Did I mention they also have furniture dollies of varying sizes to help carry your things in the heated parking garage at no charge? Love it! Everyone I've had the pleasure of dealing with has been really kind and helpful.
