You need to staff more than one person at a time, the guy who helped me did an excellent job but he was also juggling multiple tasks by himself and that seems abusive to your employees. Cutting corners to save on profits is not a justification for screwing over your employees and making them work alone to check in and check out vehicles, sell merchandise and manage storage units. This is just poor management of a company and disincentives workers from seeking or keeping employment with you.MATHEW W.
The truck was not ready for pickup at scheduled time, but available one hour late. It was delivered with an empty wiper fluid tank, low air pressure on the tires (27 psi), loose driver's door hinge, and a broken trailer lights outlet. Within the last two years, both recent moves involved difficulty in reaching a human voice just before scheduled pick up. The first time didn't have the correct GPS location of the facility in Maitland correct. Therefore made it very difficult to locate proper address while on foot, after taking a bus. The vision of sweat pouring down my face with anxiety trying to keep on schedule. No one would answer published phone number. Very aggregating and discouraging experience remains with the U-haul brand! ðŸ˜« The second (this move), I could not get a hold of "Neighborhood" Delaney (Orlando) location on original reservation to confirm reservation that morning (no answer after several attempts). When I arrived, they could not honor reservation since they were waiting on a return vehicle. I had incurred two Lyft transfers that totaled approximately 25 $that I was not reimbursed for. I then made the new reservation and executed it at the Colonial location. Since I encountered a situation of be locked within new Storage Space facility, I was not able to return vehicle by closing, and had to incur charges for another days use. Can you reimburse me for the Lyft charges or provide me a credit towards my total bill ðŸ§JAMES S.

I haul does NOT let you know your Ubox isn't in a climate controlled warehouse. Why in FL would there not be climate control? We were never told and unfortunately we had to store items longer than anticipated and all items were covered with mold- dresser, tables, linens, headphones all need to be trashed! And added insurance that we paid does not cover mold! DO NOT use ubox! And customer service on hold 20-30 minutes at a time..holly M.
I am giving a 3/5 star, average rating because the experience was incredibly simple and the location and facility are decent. If I hadn't asked for directions to access the gate to the facility then I wouldn't have had to interact with anyone who worked there and that is very convenient indeed. However, this survey does not include the question of satisfaction with the price. I'm renting a climate controlled 5x5 space which average cost (including climate controlled) is 44 $and I am paying 65 $. That is a price increase of very near 50 %. The directions to the facility are adequate but could be improved by stating which direction the facility map is facing. The facility map is laid out north/south, while the physical location stretches east/west. A simple fix would be a north orientation arrow on the facility map or orient the map in landscape instead of portrait. The location was easy to find, and the access to the gate can be found by doing a little searching. There appear to be no signs or directions on how to get to the gate once on property and the vehicle rental and rental return building are up front blocking the view of the storage area. It took me an extra minute to find. A minor inconvenience and now that I know it will be easy to access. I'd recommend using this Uhaul storage location for a short term but not long term time period as the extra 20 $per month adds up. After a year's rent (plus taxes and fees) that is 840 $vs the average price (+taxes/fees) of 600 $.William S. | Online Move In

The move in experience was great but since then there was an incident that I feel needs addressing. I went to my unit on Sunday 5/23/21. I realized I had forgotten my passcode so I went up the office for assistance. As soon as I walked inside, BOTH of the employees behind the counter suddenly ran for the back door. When I asked where they were going I was told that another customer outside needed the keys for propane. I thought it very strange that it required two employees to do this. After I waited a few minutes one of the young ladies came back in and I explained that I had forgotten my passcode. She asked me my name, looked up my account, and then gave me the passcode. I didn't really think about it until I got outside but she never even asked for my ID or anything. She just asked me my name and gave me the passcode. Then when we went to enter the facility the gate was already open and the door to my building just opened without the passcode at all. Today 5/24/21 I went back again and it was the same story... the gate was wide open and the door to the building was just unlocked. I'm not sure if the whole "idea" of a passcode is just to make us feel like this facility is secure or if it's even necessary at all.Christopher S. | Online Move In

There is a website that offers all of it and when you go to the location they don't have it so they need to update the uhaul website to be more accurate on what they offer because is false advertising. The experience with the location and local team was great. I did end up having to call to confirm my move-out, as the virtual move-out process didn't work. I had submitted pictures and uploaded move-out confirmation but still received an auto-pay reminder a week and a half later, which then prompted me to have to call. I'm still waiting on my refund since I chose not to need a storage unit anymore. I bought a unit and when I opened it realized it was too small so when I went back to the front some rude, miserable bald guy tells me he can't switch me to a bigger one because it was 5:06 p.m. and that he was leaving. The storage unit was adequately clean, however, the air conditioning was not working on the day we arrived to move out. Evidentially the AC went out the day before yet we were not told, We would have appreciated a call to let us know. We Have items that could have been damaged in the heat. I think there needs to be a lock box of some kind in the temperature control pad so it can be regulated by Uhaul not the people using the unit. On the day we moved out there was a bad storm. It was unfortunate that the computer system went down, but somehow Tanesha aNd the manager, Bedford Bellows We're able to register me for a trailer and hitch. They were extremely helpful. Buford put the hitch and trailer on my car in the pouring rain. I also accidentally broke my umbrella in the door of my car so my car door would not shut; Buford helped me figure out how to fix it.
