Janine WHad a reservation to rent a trailer at 730 am at the Baraboo WI store. Store was not open. Supposed to be open at 7am. UHaul truck driver, Sonya, came by and was VERY helpful, calling traffic dept and get my reservation going. Was able to get on the road by 8:10 am. Thank you, thank you Sonya!!! Bob Pfaff
Robert PStorage hallways were very dirty. I've had a locker here for several years and it's never looked so dirty! On a positive note, the Locker was clean and staff friendly and helpful.

I initially rented a Dolly as I had a car that I had to tow home, after buying a new adapter after my last one was lost by the Oshkosh Uhaul on my rental of a 5x10, we could not get the right light on the dolly to function, I requested a truck rental as I figured it had to be my truck at fault, so the agent hooked the dolly to the rental pickup and went on my way, I didn't check for light operation beforehand as he had done it prior so I figured he would again. I got to my disabled car to find the passenger light was once again not functional meaning it had to be an equipment failure, additionally the passenger side tire strap would not lock, so I had to go get a rachet strap to secure the car properly to the Dolly. Other than that the rental was good overall and the truck was in decent shape and drove well with hot heat.

The fact that I scheduled a 26ft truck for Madison WI and got a call the day before moving 100 miles that I had to drive an extra 50 miles to get the truck really pissed me off. I had things scheduled. People scheduled to help at certain times. What a huge inconvenience. I was given extra milage but I had to pay for 100 miles of extra gasoline. Completely disappointed! Will not recommend
Vicki OThe entire building smells like pee and honestly it's filthy inside. I would consider replacing the carpet out of there because it's really gross. Also the area for community sharing needs to be monitored better it's often things that smell like pee, or are filthy, and it really isn't an inviting experience when you first walk in. Management otherwise is decent, the new store manager is nice, workers are helpful, etc

Tyler BOn pick up, the wrong lock was placed on the uhaul. Needing an employee to assist with opening since lock code was incorrect. Had issues using self return in the app. Retuned to store after business hours before return time, as expected. While viewing examples of pictures needed for return the app closed out of the self return process. I was not able to find a "continue with self return" type option. I left the uhaul where I was instructed and took pictures and video in case something happened overnight. Everything else was great and simple. 8 out of 10 would recommend.

David KI would really like to speak to someone about this. The employees at the Baraboo location were incredibly rude and offensive. There was some kind of problem with our reservation and while we were waiting for Dereck to finish with one customer so he could help us, he commented that "when computers start acting like that people are here for a long time. I'll probably be at the bar by the time it works out." He then went on to call the computer RETARDED. Both employees said "shit," "fuck," "I hate Uhaul," and, upon finding out we were going to California told us, "Trump had it right about the wall, but we should build it between California and the rest of the country." I was never told there needed to be a lock on my Ubox. I never received the keys to lock they did put on. When I reached out to customer service because I never saw any paperwork on my ubox, they told me the GM would reach out to me and I never received any communication. I will be following up on this.
Kelsey BIt was overall a good experience. Nothing to improve on. It's just that I live more than 40 miles away. The local dealership didn't have what I needed and I was in Baraboo shopping anyway.

Samantha WHello I think I recharged for a 2 day rental for a less amount because I didn't use the 20 miles only drove 11 I believe. So I have wait for a refund credit deposit I'm permanently disabled not working live on every bit of my income very low. I wasn't informed that a withdrawal was going to be made. As my account is now empty I need gas and help no cash to offer until next week.I also asked for a copy of a agreement for a 2017 and I never received the page of mine and Peter's signature this causes stress. Allen FOverall experience was good. The truck we rented did have a bad tire but we were able to make it through our move without having to replace the tire. I would just recommend that the tires we double checked before releasing to the customer.

Robert SYou send texts to the renter, to accept the condition of the vehicle, at the start of the rental.. By the time I get it, I'm driving. I don't look at texts while driving. By the time I see it, the period for answering the texts has expired. These texts are expecting unsafe behavior -- especially for someone driving unfamiliar vehicles.

AMBER SStore opens at 9am on Sunday, made the reservation for 8am to use the self pickup (worthless), the self pickup service is a joke, took a hour to get nowhere (On line customer service is worthless, so if you're planning on using it, do yourself a huge favor and just wait for the store to open). Once the location opened, was in and on my way in less than 5 minutes
Jesse MIf you can avoid it, don't use Uhaul! 1. Didn't deliver my u-boxes on time 2. Very confusing "confirmation" process where they repeatedly call you to confirm both your pick-up and delivery of the u-box to the new location, however they will tell you that the person who does the scheduling is different than the person you actually talk to so they'll claim they never received your confirmation. 3. The furniture pads that are included with the u-box have a blue dye that severely stains everything you put them on 4. Items arrived damaged and broken. Absolutely stressful and an overall awful experience. I booked my U-box reservation over 3 months in advance. However, a few days before my scheduled container drop-off date Uhaul called me stating that due to their poor planning and scheduling with the drivers they have to either deliver my U-boxes over a week early or not at all. They said if I couldn't move my scheduled dates I wouldn't be able to receive the U-boxes. At that point it was too short notice to schedule another moving option so I had to get special permission from both my apartment complex and city to keep the U-boxes in the parking lot for over a week due to Uhaul's own issue where they literally told me "yeah we didn't schedule enough drivers and the drivers we do have are over their hours". But the MOST STRESSFUL PART was when trying to "confirm" the delivery of my Ubox container at the new location I was moving to. I received a voicemail at 6pm the night before Uhaul was supposed to deliver my U-box, where a random lady from Uhaul left an angry voicemail saying that "you need to provide another confirmation or else I won't schedule your delivery". I received this voicemail AFTER CONFIRMING SEVERAL TIMES WITH UHAUL ALREADY over the phone each time Uhaul had called to confirm! However, when I called the number back, it would take me to different Uhaul workers who kept saying "no we don't handle scheduling" and then the Uhaul workers would hang up! FINALLY the person who threatened to not deliver my U-box called me back after I spent over 2 hours on the phone trying to get in touch with her and all she said was "no I am the only person who can schedule the deliveries, I don't know who you talked to about confirming your delivery but it was not me." She was incredibly rude, stressful, and unhelpful. Imagine trying to do a cross-country move with all your stuff and literally the night before the container is supposed to be delivered the company threatens to not deliver it because they have issues on their end! Incredibly stressful experience, would not recommend this to anyone!

It went back inside and ask if there was a difference between reserving online and walkins and he stated no and proceeded to tell me that if it's after 12 they will deny any reservation and then said I will do it this one time. Today as I drove past the same trucks that were there yesterday or still there, so did he really have reservations? Who knows? Worst customer service ever

Sierra B | Premières impressionsThe young woman who helped me didn't come across as very pleasant when the rental process began and gave me some rather unfriendly and uninformed answers to a couple of my questions. I'm renting the space on behalf of my son, who is now homeless, broke and trying to figure out how to get his life back on track. I did not share this with her on the front end - not really her business. But when I asked how a single, very alone homeless person would be able to meet the 2 phone number/different address requirement, she said "well, if they're homeless they couldn't afford to rent" in a very dismissive tone. I let her know that I was renting this on behalf of my son because of his situation. As a 70 y/o woman on a fixed income, I can afford $40/mo but not rental on anything liveable. We have no family anywhere else within hundreds of miles and not a lot of friends. I realize the rental storage units do have problems with people abusing the facilities, but truly, there are people out there who have SO very little, would like to hang on to at least a scrap of dignity - and replies like hers can be very hurtful. A tone of compassion rather than 'talk to the manager" would have been appreciated. She did seem to be way more helpful after I informed her of the situation, but I shouldn't have needed to do that. Otherwise, the facility itself was in very good condition and easy to use.

I selected a 5x10x10 unit as it said it would accommodate 1-2 bedroom apartment. I had only 1 mattress 2bedroom sets, dining table and chairs which was broken down sofa and 2 end tables, small microwave and it wouldn't fit. I had to request a larger unit which wasn't available. The staff worked we me to find an additional 5x5 unit to accommodate all my things. It was a hassle and delayed the move. More accurate advertising would be helpful. Merci

Check in/out signage is misleading as trying to check out just said welcome authorized to enter. Enabling the alarm stated something congrats, alarm set, your checked out. So I hope everything I did was ok. Overall great experience. Even reached the general manager by phone last night as the entrance door was started by an individual to be stuck open. Following the instructions of the general manager, I re-enabled the sliding door so that it would close. Felt a little safer that way. Merci.

Rex H | Expérience généraleRay is the WORST general manager I have ever dealt with. He thinks he's God of uhaul. My car was broke into while I was there and the cameras were NOT working. Ray didn't see this as an issue because the police caught the guy the next day. He refused to accept my free month certificate stating they were full so at this time not taking them even though it was still posted in store. Then classrooms it was at his discretion. Also due to problem with my daughter who rented a unit there he restricted my access. I then cleaned out my unit and he refused to give me back my month and some of rent I was due. He claimed he didn't kick me out so therefore he didn't have to vibe me any money back. Yet my restricted access only allowed me into the unit for 30 minutes 2 times a day once I signed in. He kicked my daughter out have us limited time to get her stuff out of the unit and told me that I was on a do not rent to list due to my association with my daughter but still wouldn't refund my money for my. unit

Kent K | Online Move InWe used it for only one month so not a lone enough time to give a fair critique........however, at the end the management made a near wrong RIGHT and that was kind of them......I am trusting that in the future, when in emergency situations like ours, that they will be MORE clear so that those NEAR ERRORS can be averted..........We only stored one bed for less than one month by a day and that is where the near problem came in......So, Ray, thank you for caring more for the customer AND THEIR situations and concerns than for the almighty dollar. We recently moved out-of-state and had to coordinate by phone having some furniture stored for a few months at the facility. I had the unit cleared before noon.U-Haul also needs to prorate I just paid a full month on 2 units I won't be using, I wish I would have been thinking I would have put the locks back on the empty units. And you really need to do something about the ice in the loading area that is an acc waiting to happen.
