I was told I would not be charged after they reported the truck stolen because I didn't have it back by 315 pm on the day it was suppose to be returned and I called corporate and made a complaint and im waiting to hear back from them don't go to this location they are demented and crooked they will charge you and then report there truck stolen go to the johnson city ny location

Height of the rooms is very helpful. An awning over the doors would be useful for when it rains. The metal grating over the drain needs to be much stronger to withstand carts full of heavy items. It was hard to roll over it.

Employee did not tell me I had to bring back truck at a certain time, and then was charged for it. Was almost like a trap.

Tell people of all the hidden fees! My online reservation said I would need $39.99 at pick up, when checking in they put a hold on my card for $90 something dollars and then when it was all done, my charge was $80 something dollars. Don't advertise it as being so cheap and not mention all the other fees. This was very disappointing.

The online reservation experience was a joke. I picked my truck and drop off location. I uploaded my driver license to arrange for virtual pickup. When I got to the location, the drop off location was wrong (by 500 miles), and I had to go through the whole reservation process again. The person at the desk put the correct drop off location in. When I dropped the truck off the drop off location was still wrong. The good thing was that I was not charged an additional drop off fee.

The truck that I received, the driver's seat would not move forward so I ended up using my toes for the gas and break. Therefore I was a bit nervous driving it. I'm just grateful that I didn't have far to drive

Finding the truck I needed was difficult. U-haul worked to make it happen for me and the local agency really worked to get the glitches worked out . It was time consuming at the counter but the gal who helped me did it with a smile and it got straightened out. Thanks

I took pictures before I left the parking lot and submitted the photos the whole bed of the pickup truck was all mud and had debris in it. I had to clean out the truck before I could even use it to move furniture. I returned it with the tank full and clean and told representative about this he did not even offer a credit. His attitude was not friendly and there were already 3 trucks in line to get checked in and no one was doing it. It was pouring rain outside and I am disabled and had to walk a mile back home. The service sucked employees were more worried about standing around talking than helping customers. I rent frequently and would not rent from this location again. Also no seat covers or anything to protect from previous renters. I would not rent from here again.

The woman tried her best but I do feel like it's unacceptable to show up and you truck is not there. I-haul, you gotta be better than this, there are always problems. The truck was supposed to be brought back the previous day, so I would expect a phone call from U-haul the previous day saying “the truck hasn't been returned so there's a chance it won't be here”. Instead I got there trying to do mobile check out and had to go inside where I waited in line and then was late to my appointment. It's just always something with U-haul, you guys overcharge for 30 miles of travel ($130..really?), your policy is to not put any gas in if the previous renter didn't re-fill what they used, which is dangerous in the winter. In truth, you guys are kinda the worst but what's available, so you get a way with it

The customer service was great. However, having the size truck that I reserved was a disappointment. I had reserved a 26' truck and found out less than 24 hours before picking up the truck that my reservation was automatically downgraded two sizes to a 20' truck. With such short notice, I had no other options as the competition had no trucks available. As a result I had to make one additional trip, which luckily wasn't too many additional miles at $0.99/mile. To add insult to injury, there was a 26' truck sitting there when I picked up the 20' truck and it was in the same exact spot when I returned the 20' truck at the end of a long day.

The only problem I have experienced at this location is with them picking up the phone when you call I always have to wait at least 15 minutes to talk to somebody..they are not that busy!!!

My U-Haul broke down with transmission problems, Taking up two hours of my day. After waiting an hour for road side assistance, an employee was going to have me drive the U-Haul back after the service technician put transmission fluid in it, despite the service technician advising that it shouldn't be drove.

We had a problem starting the cargo van prior to returning it. It took a long time to connect to someone at the office. When we finally did, the person said they would connect us to road service. They never returned to our call. In the meantime we were able to start the van ourselves.

The uhaul box truck that I ordered was gross and stinky when I picked it up. It smelled like a cigarette ashtray... was sticky... and had toenail clippings on the dashboard. I notated it and drove away. During the drop-off... I added a notation about the filthy truck and your website charges me $25 to clean. It was upsetting and uncalled for... because it was obviously dirty at pick-up. Your employees need to actually do their job and check these trucks before they are rented again. Toenail clippings are super gross and I consider that a health Hazzard that should not have been presented to us... at any time especially during covid. I'd like a call back from the manager explaining why I was given a dirty truck... with broken windshield and broken side mirrors. Overall happiness is 1 of 100... and thats only because its done.

This meant that we drove an hour & half each way to find no trailer. We had hired people to help us load. Had to pay them twice. We had motel room paid which we had to rebook. Our help at unload end was no longer available so we had to pay to get help and we had to pay kennel extra 2 days for our dog. This rental Cost us over $600 additional. All because someone at U-Haul didn't check to see if the trailer was scheduled for another rental and told the first one no problem returned late.

The personnel did not explain the trailer really well for me. He didn't explain what happened to trailer door gets stuck. Which caused me a lot of headache three hours away. This is possibly one of the worst experiences I've had with U-Haul. I will not recommend you out to any of my colleagues. I wish there was better communication on what to do when your trailer door gets stuck. It only just delayed my time by 23 hours. But I had to pay extra because I got late to the drop off. It was completely unprofessional. And I want to refund

Customer service was very friendly. Even when there were multiple customers in the store, they took care of everybody quickly. Cupholders and stuff were a little yucky and full of crumbs and stuff, but that's not a big deal. Uhaul was very clean aside from that.

The rental process was excellent. Cudos for going all digital and being able to use my smart phone for the initial vehicle inspection. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the interior of the pickup. The truck had about 15k mikes and drive perfectly. The front windshield was quite dirty on the lower inside. I actually wash it when I got home. The seats were filthy. I would recommend that uhaul pay close attention to the cleanliness of the inside. Especially during this COVID period. Enforce this with folks that rent these trucks and charge them to clean the truck if they leave it an unacceptable condition.

I was called the day before my reservation and advised they had no enclosed trailer for me. The person told me only open trailers available, I had to have an enclosed, which I had reserved well in advance. I requested a manager who I discussed my issue with and he was able to get the trailer that I had reserved. The manager did the right thing and honored my reservation. All staff were great and equipment was flawless. Only suggestion, more than 1 person at closing since there was a line of 6 trailers/vans/trucks to turn in plus others trying to pick up. The lady working was kind and professional and never negative but she was way overloaded! I left after 5:15, 5:00 was closing time but she had many customers waiting. She did well.

The online ordering needs some work take trucks off that aren't available anymore like the 17' one also it's a rip off when I want to pick a truck up close to my house and I have to drive 30 plus miles to get it home then 30 plus to get it back that's a little ridiculous

The truck I rented was never washed and the cab was never cleaned. The truck had dirt and stones in the bed liner, driver side door had mud stainson the inside of it which proved that the truck was not cleaned for my pick up. The outside of the truck was very dirty and windshield was all bugged up. I was not happy with the cleanliness of the vehicle and there was not other truck for me to take, so I was forced to take that one. I asked for a little discount but was told the manager was on vacation and that I would have to wait until they returned in about a week.

I reserved the truck online and uploaded my ID. This made the in-person check-in extremely quick! The manager who helped me was very nice and explained the whole procedure to me.

The manager did not make the other customers wear a mask in the store even though it's mandatory and there are signs on the doors. He also did not put on a mask at any point from the desk to hooking the trailer up. Then when we got home with the trailer it smelled like someone had smoked cigarettes inside the unit which left my clothing and belongings smelling like smoke. This was a horrible experience. Would not recommend this location or Uhaul to anyone. Pay more for quality and cleanliness. Not to mention compliance with government regulations of social distancing.
