Customer service person was rude and very forward. The web site also didn't offer more than 24 hours on a reserve. So we asked the tenant that we may need the truck for 1 more day. His comment was no and if you call in the morning it probably still will be no. We returned the truck the night before. This really cramped our move and we had to get a friend to borrow his truck to finish moving. This cost us alot of time and money. Tires were low to flat on the rear.

Got lost and went over allowed mileage by 9.1 miles. You just HAD to dun me for another $3.98. Nevermind that truck had only 1/4 tank of gas when I picked it up, and 3/4 tank when I turned it in. How about a credit for 15 gallons of gas @ $10.00/gallon or whatever it is you charge people who don't return the truck with the same fuel level as when they picked it up? Fair is fair, right?

Renting a trailer should not be this hard. Not enough staff were available to check people in and when I returned the trailer it took nearly 30 minutes. The people were fine there just wasn’t enough of them.

Had both storage and truck rental. My storage unit was never unlocked. Then I was charged a $25 cleaning fee for a truck that was returned clean. Been fighting with uhaul for 2 days straight and counting.

Make sure that the customer doesn't have to go out and find the Uhaul there self, have it upfront to drive off. It took my a couple of minutes to find my Uhaul truck they didn't have it up front for me to drive off... Other than that it was ok

Mine is a horror story. I set up an appointment to install a trailer hitch on my 2016 CRV. When I arrived, the manager told me it would be at least 2 hours before they could start. I re-scheduled. After the installation was completed, and I paid the bill and picked up my car, upon inspection, I noticed the tailgate keyless entry no longer worked. I was told that it may take a few days for the computer to recognize the new wiring addition. Well, that didn't work. So I took the car back to U haul and they tried to fix it. They could not and suggested I take the car to the local Honda dealership. I did and learned that the U haul installer unplugged the keyless entry antenna and did not reconnect it. So, U haul had to pay out $155 to Honda for their incompetence. I would NEVER recommend U haul to anybody for their "custom Hitch" installation. It is a sad situation that customer service is a thing of the past. Time for a Yelp review!

when I reserved the trailer I stated that I needed to return in Sandpoint ID but that location was not accepting returns. I should have been notified immediately, I had to make a 2 hour round trip and use a quarter tank of gas to return to Spirit Lake.

The tow dolly I rented had loose lug nuts, and required tightening. The staff was going to use an improper wrench to tighten the lug nuts, but I had to intervene with my own wrench. Two other nuts as well as all of the lug nuts were loose, and could have proven disastrous if I hadn't done a proper walk-around. A customer should not have to pay for being the mechanic on something they rent.

I clearly stated what I wanted and the wrong hitch was installed and then they refused to refund my money stating that I would still have to pay for the labor to install and remove it. And then...they didn't even get the ball that it was supposed to have...they stated that it was still on the workbench. Sure hope it's worth $150 on labor charges for all the bad publicity and lost sales this is going to cause!!

Have the reservation correct! If there are extras ordered (blankets, utility dollies, etc) have them more accessible. When the person checking you in knows what extras you are renting they need to get up from their stool and walk you to all the accessories that you paid money to use. The trucks need to be in the described condition not on EMPTY. Don't tell me it is on 1/8th tank and then the needle in the red, prompting another trip into the office in which I need to wait in line just to talk to another agent. Have someone stationed outside that can help people when the agents at the desk don't leave their precious stool. Have your rental agents actually understand the "gas credit" so they can clearly explain how you are screwing the customer. Before I get screwed, I like to know how/why I'm getting boned. In short, I will NEVER use this service again, I will pay extra to never deal with this uhaul office for the rest of my life. There are competitors and I will ALWAYS choose them over this uhaul office. That also goes for anyone I know looking to move. I'll personally pay for their moving truck as long as they do not use uhaul. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice? NOPE!

Returning was a NIGHTMARE!!! We were told we needed to download the app and return there and then drop the key in slot. At about 7:30 pm, we drove up and I tried to download the app b my credit card on my app store expired and can only be updated on a desktop. My husband downloaded the app but it wasn't working; there were two other customers there with trucks trying to return them and also couldn't get the app to work. I called and was on hold for over 20 minutes before we decided to drop the keys into the slot. I stayed on hold as we left to get dinner. Eventually, a rep answered who said we absolutely need the app, needed to be ON location with the key in hand. Obviously, this was no longer possible. He said he'd document the issue and the return, but even that couldn't guarantee it and the ONLY way to return is with the app. (What if someone doesn't have a smart phone???) He said to call in the morning to be sure it was recorded successfully. We received an email today but I don't know if that is confirmation of the return so I am NOW on hold waiting for a rep for over nine minutes so far so I can confirm that it was received.

I wanted the truck at 8a.m but they claimed their system had me down at 12. 3 out of the 4 customers picking up at the same time I was there had the same incorrect time/date problem I had. When I dropped off the gentleman in front of me was also told they had him down for the next day. How does this happen?? This 4 hour mix up caused me to lose my help for the day causing extra mileage and inconvenience of finishing the move the next day. Guess what? I was charged by the extra miles I drove. I was promised a manager would contact me within 3 days to work it out. Still waiting. The last time I tried to use uhaul my reservation was wrong as well. I will never use them again and will discourage anybody from using them.

When I arrived, the lady I spoke to told me they didn’t have my uhaul available. She was very rude and didn’t seem to care, and told me they accidentally “overbooked me” and that I would have to come in the evening. It was frustrating to expect to get my uhaul and have to move to another state, and them not caring and having an unorganized system. Luckily right as I was about to leave, a uhaul I needed randomly came in and I was able to take it, otherwise it would have been a terrible situation for my family.

Customer service has reall gone down. Employees standing around not helping customers. I'm a disabled vet. No close handicap parking! Employees no longer bring truck to customer. Customer has to walk to storage lot to get own truck. Employees didn't even remove rent me sign from window yet employee walked out to truck to verify she was giving me key to truck was was in front of others. Again on return, customer service sucked. Employees standing around outside when I asked for help to return truck ... I was told I would have to wait in line behind other customers inside trying to rent equipment! Will not use this location again or even recommend it to others!

Worst service ever experienced!! They took back decking out to do wiring and then couldn't get it back together. Damaged back door seal and back door would not close properly. Showed no interest in correcting all the problems they created. Cost us a little more than installation cost to correct what they did. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

I rented a car transport trailer. While backing into my driveway the trailers tires locked up and wouldn’t reverse. I had to unload the car by pulling it off the trailer with another vehicle to get it in my driveway. When I returned the trailer and reported the issue the employees were very rude. They even tried telling my wife that the trailer isn’t meant to be backed up. I was almost t-boned while I was stuck in the street. I have rented uhaul trailers many times and the Bremerton wa location is the worst I have dealt with.

SAFETY INSPECTION before delivering van to customer. First van had badly worn front tire. Refused to accept it. Second van had badly worn left rear inner tire with chord exposed entirely around the diameter. Third van we finally accepted looked OK but after it was loaded we noticed a rear tire seemed low. I had the manager check it when we returned to pick up the car transporter and it only had 20 pounds of pressure. I asked specifically if there had been any type safety check since the other vans also had issues and was assured every van is inspected and the low tire was probably from tampering after it had been checked. I had to stop each day and add 15 and 20 pounds of air. After we were on the road a few hours my wife got a small cut from a piece of safety glass. Turns out it was in her seat.and when we looked closer there was a lot of it in the seam and behind the passenger seat along with plastic gator aid and Pepsi bottles.. It was obvious no safety check of any kind had been performed. The other issue was the drop off location I selected and verified by looking at the agents screen was not the one that ended up on the contract. The error was pointed out when I went to drop off the equipment 3 miles from our destination. I had to drive 14 miles across town to drop it off passing two other U-Haul locations along the way. So as a long time customer of U-Haul I may look elsewhere next move. When I pay over $2,000 for a 15 foot van and car trailer for a cross country move I should not have to question such things as simple as a safety check and drop off location. No! Person who hooked up our trailer allowed the wiring harness to be too low. Place is very crowded. Hard to maneuver at the site. Had to wait in line for quite a while. I returned the trailer after hours. Tried to use the app- but when I tried to take the photo the screen was black. I called the 1-800 number and was put on hold for a long time listening over and over to your recording about leaving a review.

Windshield washer was not working. Radio was not working ( didn’t even have a knob)! Passenger seat had dog hairs on it. Van just needed a little more maintenance. Everything else was working.

Trailer jacks need to be installed on the trailers. If one has an issue and needs to unhook from the loaded trailer, it would be almost impossible without creating a true hazard to those involved. Swing away 1000 lbs.jacks are not expensive and could save someone from serious injury.

Systems kept crashing, took 1 1/2 hours to pick up my reservation, my reservation was split into two contracts and then they tried to drastically over charge for the auto transport, the uhaul was extremely dirty outside and slightly dirty inside like it just came back from a cross country trip, no damage walkover was completed on either the uhaul or transport, I get to my house and load my car on only to find out the auto transport has a flat tire with a nail in it, called to have the wheel replaced, the service guy calls me and says “sorry I can’t be there until 9am the next day, you’ll need to call uhaul and let them know” I then have to wait for uhaul to send out another service guy. The whole experience was extremely frustrating on top of an already stressful out of state move. $1,700 for the rental and one of the worst customer experiences I’ve ever had.

The online pre-register identified the correct pickup location/time. A same-day phonecall to confirm led to 3 different pickup locations. The original pickup location corrected and confirmed knowledge of the reservation. Typical SNAFU for U-Haul....I'm pissed even before I get to the place. Next time I'll try my AAA discount @ Penske.

The location was easy to use but the employee outside was not very friendly. I booked the truck 3 days earlier for $1300 and during check out not only was the truck and trailer not ready but they tried to charge me $300 more dollars for the rental. Then via my booking I ordered 12 packing blankets got home only to find out that they were not in the truck! I called and told them what happened and they only said sorry and that I would have to come back and get them myself. This was a terrible experience. The check out alone took 1 hour and 42 minutes. Never again at this location. Sorry U-Haul

You guys messed up my whole move. I had an 830 pickup time that somehow changed to 1230, then finally 2 oclock..hours after I was supposed to be moving. Then, suddenly, the type of truck rental I needed was just unavailable at my original pickup location, so I had to pay for a bunch of mileage, THEN I was not reimbursed for the extra gas I put in, and customer service was terrible. I am completely dissatisfied and disappointed in the service I received and I spent almost 200 dollars. Terrible experience, I won't be back unless y'all make this right.

The first truck I was given was a complete POS and had so many exceptions that needed noting that the number of pictures I took wouldn’t upload. The seats were mildewed and it smelled like a family of junkies had been living in the thing- I seriously think the employee that gave it yo me did so on purpose because he sauntered off when I went back up to the counter to complain. The second truck, a brand new van- was fine- though smaller than I needed really. The second employee was very nice and accommodating. I was so late by then my whole day was thrown off course

I bring this back, clean it out, including the muffin plastic from someone else, take pictures of the box and lock it with your padlock, turn the keys in and this location decides to charge me a cleaning fee? Are you kidding me? They will be getting a piece of mind in the morning as well as the pictures of the truck and the box with the metadata printout and I will not be renting from UHaul again in the future nor recommending. I was told one rate and charged a different one almost twice over!

The facility is in a cramped location. The staff was not responsive to my concerns or request for help. Trailers and or trucks parked in front of the door from the storage. Did not honor free month

My only concern was after 3 YEARS of paying for storage there was no prorate for the month. I paid for all of June and expected a bit of a return. Hardly seems right. No I wouldn't store w/UHaul again

No one answered my calls also transferred me to a national call center s when they finally did (the transfer made no sense.) My u-box had forklift HOLES in the wall. Took ONE HOUR to give me access.
