Horrible service. Trying to call the office.always being transferred to call center. Call center called 3 times always got different response to my issue. Never knew if it was handled and couldn't talk to mang at the canyon country location because they always had calls being forwarded. Call center put in messages for them to call or email by end of day 2 times. That never happened. Had to wait to access box because no one forklift cert. Until afternoon. Made me wait because of loading a truck or unloading. Many problems with the system. Overall need to train call center people better and office peeps need to be better and following up on call center calls emails phone calls. No information was provided about features of the trailer e.g. how to flip down the side to access the car door (of the vehicle being towed), or how to (easily) tighten and loosen the straps holding the front wheels in place. That would have been useful (only discovered this info from a friend after we arrived at our destination). Otherwise, we love this U-Haul location and the people that work there are great.Andrew S.

The Staff was great and especially the manager Freddie. I used the storage unit for over three years and Freddie lived up to all the agreements that we agreed upon the day I rented the storage space. What has happened to the customer service? I've always been happy to see U-Haul rentals, however today when rented I had to do the virtual check-in process. I did not know how to find the truck has no one told me to look on the picture of the front of it for the number to match it up to where it was parked. Furthermore I have carpal tunnel and I'm really sick of companies forcing us to do the work that employees should be doing. Please bring back customer service with real people and stop driving everyone online or through a device startedGALA C.

The truck drivers are all women and they are excellent.... The phone staff were very nice and respectful. Although when we call, we have to wait a long time before we get somebody, sometimes for hours....I know it is a busy time and a lot of people are moving, so I just bear with it....other than that, I would be back if we needed to store stuff again.luci H.
Went to extend my rental and they could not find my contract? They wanted me to contact where I rented it from and ask them for an extension? So I had to drop it off and come back in the morning to re-rent the same trailer. Then to add insult to injury, I got about two miles away and heard a slamming noise coming from the trailer. They had forgotten to latch the loading gate! I'm just glad it did not drop open and hit someone's car!!PHILLIP R.

My only request would be when checking out with associate that they would inform customer on return process. Upon our return we just parked and went inside. However, all we needed to do was pull up to the side pavillion and be check outside. When parked and went inside we lost our place in line because I was not informed on return process.MONICA P.
Everything was just fine. I was able to secure the reservation by phone and finished up everything else online. It was mildly time-consuming between the online process and actually picking up the truck in person. But dropping it off with simple and easy with everything else being finalized through email and texts. Overall a good experience.Craig R.

I have rented multiple times, always setting up online and the process is ridiculously slow, upon arrival. Wait in line, and then wait for a trailer hook up. Every time, I have to back in at least twice, asking when I will get hooked up. Today took 35 before I could roll out. We first ordered on line to pick up in Stevenson Ranch location, but when we got there (on time). There was no truck available and after some discussion, the owner of the garage he called Uhaul for instructions of what to do and we were directed to the Sierra Hwy location. The truck itself was fine and in good condition. However, the process picking up the truck was not. I had a reservation for a mobile pick up and when I arrived before operating hours the mobile pick up was not working on the app. It was saying I was there for in person pick up and I had to wait until the store opened. I tried calling customer service and waited on hold for over 45 minutes and still no one picked up. Finally an associate came out and was able to manually switch something in the system so I could use my phone to pick up. But then the key code given would not work and we couldn't get the keys out of the lock box. Thankfully the associate was able to give another key that worked. It was a lot of wasted time.Christina D.

My registraton AND U-Haul.com confirmed this. Registered, formed account, and pre-filled out all applicable items. Get there 7am? Site says I must pick up when store opens at 9. Uhaul in general has given me terrible customer service. Most the employees did their best but the policies in place are shamefully bad. Most seemed to have no clue what they were doing. The 2 guys who helped me at the end of the day were very good but I can't remember their names. All others gave wrong info wich cause a lot of problems for my time sensitive day.chirs H.
I rent U haul a lot of times in 9 years. This time is my worst one. Firstly, I rent one way trip but next day one guys call me said you guys can't offer me one way trip because my radius not over 100 miles. I moved from Santa Clarita to Rowland Heights round trip took 131 miles and 3 and half hours. The guys told me only can offer me local service which mean I have to return to same location. Secondly, after I agreed local service. He changed my pick up location. In the beginning, I booked pick up from 25333 Railroad Ave Santa Clarita, CA 91350 but he changed to 27150 SIERRA HWY CANYON COUNTRY,CA 91351. Original location is cross the street from my apartment but new location I have to drove 15 mins to pick up the truck. Third, I reserved 7AM pick up the truck and I arrived at 650AM. I used mobile check in and pick up the key. I thought everything is fine but when I tried to get the key, the most terrible thing happen, the combination that provided is incorrect, I can't open fucking damn lock. System asked me to called customer service, guess what no one answer til 730AM. I found the lady who work at the shop, she tried to helped me to opened the lock but she also can't , another guys also can't. Both of them tried to help me switch the truck or found the spare keys but they told me they don't have access to help me and told me I had to wait til 830AM or 9AM and someone will show to help me. Finally, I got the truck til 850AM but they didn't give me furniture dolly. This time from the beginning til the end, whole experience are total fuck and worst. They only told me they can extend the return time to me. I don't want any fucking extra time. I have my own schedule for this time moving but everything are go wrong since the beginning. Accessing the gate was often a challenge due to various crates/trailers/trucks etc being obstacles. In some cases this also impeded access to the building itself. So, after booking a 26ft trailer two weeks in advance and getting cancelled three days in before a move and tight timeframe, thankfully Lorna from the Storage King location was so kind to help us out and give us some tips. I get that people extend their rental, which is what we did Saturday morning to be met with scare tactics and a severely upset employee from Canyon County location. Corporate UHaul is great with customer service but there really should be someone who does quality control checks on independent stores. We always use U-Haul for all our moving needs and let our family and friends know the ease of it online. I really think U-Haul has a unique advantage over all others. For the first time, we used the recommended movers.com to help us. Much to our dismay, the movers in AZ cancelled at 11:00AM. We were charged and additional 140,00 $ for the last minute replacement. As a company, they are not up to the same standards that U-Haul has. Even though it was their mistake, they made us pay for it. Our hands were tied since we were on a tight schedule. I hear that you are not associated with them, just thought you might want to know about our experience with the first mover group, especially since they didn't show up, we can't put that experience on their website I am told. We have always enjoyed U-Haul and the 26 foot truck was totally awesome, a great drive and a great deal! Thanks to U-Haul for always being there for us and the extremely fair pricing! Everything fine.....except I lost my key to my lock (that was in the unit when I rented it).....Uhaul did not have a record of the key so i could obtain a duplicate. Therefore i had to call a locksmith for 100 $. It will teach me to not misplace my key. It would be nice if Uhaul could always keep a duplicate of their clients keys. I had reserved a van in advance. When I arrived there were six people standing in line and only one person processing arrivals. I had to stand for 35 minutes. The young man behind the desk was cheerful, but the facility was woefully understaffed during Christmas week. When I returned my rental truck to this location, the gas gauge was the same as when I rented the truck in Redding. The employee said the computer reported the gas level low and hit me with a 20 $gas charge.. It is a real shame that U-Haul would, trade customer loyalty for 20 $but that was you decision.
