Even though you say you have a "guaranteed" truck or trailer reserved, its not actually guaranteed to be there, otherwise you wouldn't offer the 50,00 $ credit on upcoming rentals. It makes it hard to pack up everything you own to move if you might not get the equipment on the day you're to supposed too. This may only be a west coast problem due to high number of people leaving that area (myself included).Mark S.

The truck was late in being returned by the previous customer, so I had to wait 15 minutes. The guarantee of "ready on time" was not offered to me. Also, I paid for 20 miles but only drove 7 miles. I was not given a refund. I know times are tough, so I didn't ask for a refund.Kathleen F.

The only thing is that I had to drive 65 miles out of my way (south to come back north) to get the truck, as this was the only 20ft truck in 200mi radius....and that was booking 3 weeks in advance. Should i have booked earlier than even THAT? Ok... good to know... or, you could have more trucks... or you not charge for that mileage, or you discount the rate for the inconvenience...or you could comp some of the fuel... there are a lot of things U-haul could do for the customer to keep their business. =/ Just a suggestion.James J.

Have rented from you for years, always had great service. But today, was exemplary! Two outstanding young men helped us. I'm embarrassed I didn't get their names. But I assure you, you are lucky to have them. My husband and I could tell they were hard working, consistent young men. The equipment was not clean. The girl who helped me was very friendly and helpful, but the location overall is poorly maintained. The asphalt is old and breaking, the building smells weird and uhaul still has not started doing loyalty points for people like me to earn rewards for renting so much equipment.Jason S.

your associate connected the safety chain from the tow dolly to my axle backwards and I could not get the chain to release at my drop off point ... where I wanted to drop off the tow dolly had no idea how ti get the chain off ... so they sent me like 22 miles to a U-Haul main dealer who did manage to get the chain off ... they gave me 45 miles in credit but that just covered the miles going both ways to the dealer and then back to the original storage location ... so basically I had to cover at least 20 dollars in gas money and ended up having to go the extra 30 miles back to main dealer cause that's where my car was parked after he got the chain of. This cost me over 2 hours of time. and 20 bucks in gas and 20 miles at 40 cents = 8 ... I figure you guys owe me 28 bucks and 2 hours of my life backMitchel L.
After driving cross country with a U-Haul truck and car trailer I tried to drop off the car trailer 2 days early and was told I could drop off the car and leave it in the open lot but not the trailer. Was told If I wanted help in dropping off the car I'd have to pay extra for the help. Had to call U-Haul main number to rectify this issue. U-Haul was surprised at the attitude of this male General Manager. Went back the next day and was able to drop off the car trailer with no issues. When I dropped off the truck 2 days later, the rest of the staff was very helpful and pleasant.Richard M.

The uhaul I reserved in advance wasn't where I requested it. I had to drive 30 minutes out of my way to pick it up and then drop it off 30 minutes out of my way. I didn't get a dolly with my truck. Tried calling to drop it off same day, spent 30 minutes plus on hold then call dropped. Finally went online and the app wouldn't share my location even though it was set up on my phone. The place in Carson people were professional and nice, but wasn't impressed with uhaul in general. Fortunately We don't move to often!JOSHUA CHARLES M.
I dropped off the equipment the day after renting it and it wasn't checked in properly causing two employees to call me and ask when I was returning the equipment and if I had returned it to the correct place or not when in fact I returned it earlier then the contract stated. I asked the first person to call me back with an update which they didn't do it and that caused the second person to call and go through the same line of questioning when communication could have happened between them and the proper check-in of the equipment could have prevented it all. My time is valuable and to be called into question as to if I returned equipment or not is poor customer service and to be put on hold while someone figures out their job is frustrating and cost me $. Will a U-Haul representative try and make it right with me or at least apologize? I highly doubt it even though it's the customer service thing to do.Edward A.

The movers were on time to pick up our U-Box but despite providing U-Haul with several days notice that we wanted our boxes delivered U-Haul did not have the boxes available. The movers had to wait two hours for U-Haul to locate our boxes. The movers on the other hand were very responsive and did an excellent job.Gregg W.

The one I rented from although I rented months before and periodically checked in, was left e smaller unit half full w/ gas. I took it then I had to make extra trips to make the deadline. Instead of on one big trip to finish up ! Causing me increased expense having to wait until rasdi social security deposits into said account. I came into the Mt. Rose office and ran the whole scenario down to a young gentleman working the counter that night! He agreed to run this by his supervisor and Would call me if there were any issues. My card # was given in good faith. I also found out later the bank will be sending me a new card due to curious activity. I found it off-putting, that I was given an access card for accessIng the roll-down storage units within a fenced-in area; but could only access the storage units during business hours! The map and paperwork stated the site was accessible from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, which was not true and was incorrect! I consequently made a wasted, 80-mile round trip to the storage unit...wasting 3 hours of my valuable time, to load a trailer (a UHaul trailer no less), drive there, and not get access. To make matters worse, the signage at the property had the phone number listed of a previous manager (who was quite polite!), and she gave me the number to the new General Manager, who was not happy to be getting a call after hours. Seemed dismissive of my frustrations. This was a verbal communication blunder upon getting the unit, and a printed error problem on both the maps, and the signage at the electronic gate (on the fence). The only good result of this, was that the assistant manager was able to provide a remedy to my displeasure.Michael V. | Expérience générale

The only annoyance was the gate access system. I had two different storage units. Each time, the access did not work at first. The staff said it sometimes takes 5-10 minutes to provision.
