I received excellent customer service and my rental was ready for pick up on time!PATRICK A.
Picked up the 6x12 with a ramp. Got home an realized the entrance was to small for side by side. Called and asked if I could swap it out with a different trailer. Guy on the phone said yes. Got to uhaul. Guy came out to unhook the trailer. I explained the situation and he said no problem. We.nt around back hooked up another trailer. I asked do I need to do more paperwork he said no and would email me the paperwork change. I get home, 35 minute drive from Uhaul and start loading and notice one tire is half flat and the other has a huge nail. UHAUL is closed so I called roadside assistance, she was so nice and so helpful. But when I give her all the information she says my name isn't on the trailer, neither the first or second. So she can't find a file on me. After 5 hours she finally was able to get someone over to replace the tires. During this whole process, she asked if I have received the text messages or emails from her, no and still haven't. Now I see the amount I paid for 9 days with the trailer was refunded to my account and the amount for 1 day was taken out. I am on the road so can't just turn around to go back to the dealership.Alan P.

Screen on the dash was smashed so there was no ability to use your phone safely in the rental-especially for using GPS or just answering a call safely. Manager didn't care. Did not give me a discount for sub standard vehicle. I said I dont think i should be charged full price. He said â€œWe don't care, see the next guy is already renting it.â€ And unfortunately the first guy said that and then i asked to speak to a manager and he came over and said the same thing and also: â€œYou don't need a radioâ€Sean R.

I have booked U-Haul Ashburn and just day before evening they notified that as they do not have availability and I have to pickup from Chantilly which costed me extra 10 miles but they have compensated by reducing the mileage cost. If I have not called them back then I would have not known about the change of location as there was no email or text message. Service was good and satisfied.Kamal V.

I was charged $10 extra when I returned the truck. I had the cutest amount of gas when I returned the truck. I did a self check out.faraz H.
I have mix reviews about this location. My negative view is it took close to 45 min to get my storage unit even when I did it online. The employee fumbled though the process, I didnt want to ask for help from the other employees. Then the other employees noticed how disgruntled I was getting after driving 10 hours and still need unload. The employee that tookmy trailer after I unloaded was quick and showed me where to park it.Colin F.

I am very disappointed. I made a reservation for Uhaul 5X8 Trailer to pick up from Manassas VA to Chareleston SC for $172 including insurance. A day before pickup, I was told to pick up from Chantilly location, I was charged $288 instead of $172, I explained to the lady at the counter that this supposed to cost me $172. She said only the manager can give me the quoted price. She can not overide the system. The Manager was nowhere to be found. I wasted 1 hour there waiting with no help and ended up with paying $288. This was truly WAIT and SWITCH scheme.Davinder H.
When bringing the equipment back, the employee was a bit gruff. There is a tent for pickup AND returns. I want a quick and easy checkout process. I want to pull thru and drop the trailer off. Instead the employee wanted me to drive it to the back, and park it in a small area (I got good at backing up, it just wasn't a good customer service experience). They have trailer movers - but he specifically told me he didn't want to do that, putting the burden on me.Michael M.

Truck had a hole that went all the way thru to the storage area. We had to put up plastic so our belongings would get wet. Passenger side mirror was cracked and made it difficult to see. When we picked up the truck they said they had no blankets but when we got our dolly from the contex box there was over a hundred of them. Thankfully we were able to get some.Colleen B.

It would be nice if there was a designated line for the representatives. It was very difficult to decide who was next and some people were trying to cut in line. The trailer pickup is way around the building. It would be nice if they had a map at the desk to show how far around the building the customer had to go to get where the trailers were.Ben A.

The lady who checked me in was fantastic. We changed our request the day of pick up and she worked with us to meet our needs. She helped modify my rental to match our changes. I had one issue with a low tire pressure on the rear left tire. It was low when I first picked up the vehicle and we made two stops on our trip to Radford to add air. Overnight the tire pressure dropped again requiring us to stop twice on the return trip to add air. I mentioned this to your sales associate in the office but it was near closing time. I'm not sure if he put those notes anywhere in the system. It needs serviced before another customer takes that van.Maria S.

The vehicle had a strong smell of smoke (interesting since no smoking allowed), the steering wheel was stuck and I needed associate to turn wheel to start van, and low gas light dinged & came on leaving the parking lot, it read empty. The associate sprayed refresher or cleanser on vents to try to eliminate odor. In all my times renting from UHaul I never picked up a vehicle on empty or with sickening smoke smell. I left the vehicle with between a 1/4 & 1/2 tank of gas. Note, I have pictures of pick up gas gauge measurement & return measurement as proof.Judy W.

Nothing.This location is the best in northern va. maybe this location should be used to train your employee's the right way . your location in sterling on ox road is the worst. they gave me a dirty van with blood in it and when I went there on Saturday. the employee was eating at the counter, was rude, and disrespectful . what is it with that location. I will never go there ever . and I did report to the manager I was given a van that had blood inside the area where you sit. then I got a call saying I damaged there van. I had to return and let them know I'm about to get the law involved because I did not damage this van. . The location on 606 needs to be checked. they really make uhaul look really bad. I will never return to that location ever. They get me upset every time I went there. you need to replace that entire staff . except the manager.she is nice.but the rest of your staff need to go.ALBERT H.

The van I was provided had many issues and damages. The drivers seat was stuck due to the push bar being stuck to move it. The emergency breaks were broken and would not work. There was a hole in the front plastic part of the van. The lady who checked out my van did not know what she was doing this time or the time before when I worked with her. She charged me for more things than I needed. I only asked for a furniture dolly and she charged me for a utility dolly, furniture dolly and furniture blanket /padding. The last time I worked with her was a month ago when I got my storage unit. She gave me the wrong size then charged me extra for the correct size when she fixed it. I will not come back to this site if this lady continues working here. She takes half an hour to an hour to get you set up when you set everything up online already.Nakyea M.

The Uhaul spot at 21615 Cascades pkwy was horrible dirty, a mess, broken down equipment, and closed. I had a 1530 pick up time, and I got there and he was closed. there was a number on the door to call, he said my reservation was moved to the Herndon location, so I drove there. They were very nice but did not have the equipment I was after. they called the Chantilly location who had the equipment and was also very nice. the Uhaul location at Cascades pkwy should be closed down, as it is an embarrassment to UHUALDerek F.

Uhaul should of told us up front about when you close your unit you don't prorate the rent. We lost 3 weeks of payment. The lines at the counter was always long because there was only 1 person working the register and phone at the same time. I moved out of units 2130 and 2149 on May 12. When the movers were packing me out I went to the office to inform the staff member of my move out. I was told to return later that day when the movers were done and someone would do a walk thru with me. I returned a few hours later and was greeted by a different staff member who did not do a walk thru and told me they would take care of closing out my contracts. Turns out 2130 was closed. 2149 remained open despite the fact I checked the following the day and was told both units were closed. I was charged $143 on May 13 and charged $143 on June 12th. I've been trying over a week now to get refunds and spoke to the General Manager, Richard who said he'd take care of it. He closed 2149 on or around June 14 but only processed a refund for the June charge. The May charge has still not been refunded. I'm very dissatisfied with this situation. Why the first person I spoke to (when I wanted to check out) told me a walk thru was necessary but the second person who was supposed to but did not tells me the staff at the Chantilly location do not follow their own procedures and the result is the situation I'm in. We rented a "drive-up" unit because we have some large and heavy items to store and wanted to drop them out of the truck and directly into the storage unit. We arrived late in the evening only to find that your version of "drive-up is a loading dock. The unit you gave us was at the furthest point away from the loading dock which made it extremely difficult and time consuming to move our items from the truck to the unit. We also found out that the large sliding doors at the dock are locked at 7:00 P.M. which will make moving items after 7:00 P.M. very difficult. Luckily we ran into "Ryan" who stayed after his shift to allow us access to the sliding doors. Major kudo's to Ryan, he was very courteous and understands customer service.
