U-Haul Moving-Chatsworth staff were very professional in addressing my moving vehicle needs. They were prompt and courteous. The inside the vehicle cab was spotless! The Simi-Los Angeles Street staff are super-duper too, for refering the Chatsworth location for my transportation needs.

The truck we rented was not tall enough as we were promised. The transmission was in poor shape. Had poor acceleration. The cashier would not rent the dolly back to me after dropping it off with out another $10.00 rental charge. You should have dollys with handle extensions for large appliances.

I reserved a van (Ford) a week in advance but I wasn't given the one that I needed on the date specified! I was told that the guy who reserved the Ford for you is not working here anymore! I still don't understand what mean it does!!! Instead, I was given a GMC van which had serious technical issues. First of all the brakes were so soft and spongy. Second, the vehicle needed chassis alignment. Third, its string wheel needed alignment. Fourth and the worst thing, the vehicle smelled like a farm of marijuana.

The truck stank from marijuana and cigarettes.... The ashtray still had cigarette butts in it. We had to use air freshener throughout our 1000 mile trip. Not appreciated!!!!

My original reservation in Santa Barbara didn't work out and due to urgency, I had to bite the bullet and commit to an additional 80-90 miles toward my total commute but it was well worth it. Every single employee I interacted with was super helpful with our reservation. Special shoutout to Carl (or Carlos, I forget the name tag spelling) for being great with check-in!

The utility trailer had sand in it from the previous renter. I was moving furniture so it wasn't good.

The original trailer I was going to rent had problems with the lights. After the employee spending 15 minutes hooking up the trailer. (I have a Tesla Model Y) and he had trouble hooking the chains up.

Don't make false promises to customers that do not end up being fulfilled. I was told that I could get a refund for an extra unused day of rental, so I adjusted my timeline so that I could bring it back earlier than originally scheduled. When I dropped off the trailer, I was told that I would have to contact the location where I picked it up in order to receive my refund. I have spoken with multiple people from UHaul, including an area manager, but they refuse to give me what they promised, stating it is not part of their policy.

William at the location was very accommodating and helpful when I checked out the truck. After that everything was down hill and a nightmare. Literally takes hours to get any help when your truck breaks down. They disconnected my call for roadside service 3 times after waiting 20 minutes each time. Big big communication problems. My trucks starter went out - had to sit and wait over 3 hours for a tow to my delivery location, then had to unload it myself since the movers I'd paid were already off the clock and went home. A nightmare all around. Roadside assistance is horrible. Sent out someone for a dead battery - when that wasn't it, told me to call roadside assistance AGAIN. Whenever their road side assistance doesn't work out they make you call it back in - none of their towing partners will call them because they know it will take an hour on hold. How do companies like this stay in business - they are horrible!!!

Smooth and easy check in and departure. We were informed of a minor issue with the vehicle that would not cause issues during our 250 mile round trip. No problems at all. The only difficulty was with the return app, which we needed to use because we returned the vehicle after hours. The app would not allow us to upload photos as requested and kept crashing. After a half an hour of trying, we took photos with our phone camera, dropped the keys in the box, and left.

The older man helping us was'nt sure about the type of contract we had, but a younger man came and clarified that it was a one-way rental, and that it did include 1 month of storage at the destination

The truck broke down on us. It had rust on the rims of the tires and I almost asked for another truck, but figured they knew what they were doing. Next time I will question them if I don't feel comfortable.

I rented a motorcycle trailer. Motorcycle was a stock Harley dyna and it wouldn't go on the trailer. I rode the bike to Texas and attempted to load it, bottomed out, ramp was to steep. I couldn't find a curb that was accessible with the bike. I contacted a uhaul dealer in Gainesville, Texas and he was no help, just wanted more money to help me with the hitch. I didn't even bother going over there. I was on a time schedule and didn't feel like haggling with the guy. Ended up riding bike round trip Los Angeles to Texas and back. Used the trailer to haul miscellaneous lighting gear and other stuff.

Your vehicle seem dangerous at times , it showed the check engine a few times , the brakes must be checked. I didn't feel safe driving it . Please double check it !!! Service was excellent .

Have more trucks. Ordered a truck at Simi to minimize mileage. Would have had about 40 miles at $1.19 per mile. Instead drove 90 miles. Even at the discounted rate of $0.69 per mile I ended up paying more (not to mention 5 gallons more in gas) due to uhaul not being able to honor the original reservation. Also had about two extra hours in drive time. Otherwise everything was good

i reserved a trailer online. when i got there i was told that trailer wasn't available. i asked about the "uhaul Guarantee" and i was told that because i made my reservation online i didn't qualify for that. i told him i saw it online when i made my reservation. i was told that didnt matter.

I have rented from this location 3 or 4 times. By far the best U-Haul I have used. Friendly staff, good equipment, regular availability, and very accommodating. All U-Hauls should be run like this one.

To be honest, I was really frustrated with the way UHAUL as a company handled business. I called the location over 20 times trying to speak to the manager about my contract and the issue I had with the rental upon return. There's no way I can get in touch with the location directly whereI booked/rented the trailer from. When you call the location, your calls get re-routed to the 800 number. It's beyond frustrating to not be able to speak directly to the location. The person that informed me of the proper sized trailer to book were not knowledgeable and I directed me to book a trailer that was too large for what I needed and only a round trip booking. I ended up spending a lot of money on that trailer because it was only available in a round trip rather than one way. When I returned the trailer, I left the contract open so we could discuss it. I called the 800 number because the only way to speak with the manager at the location I rented from was via a direct message that they can send him. I left Carl 3 direct messages via the 800 number that they sent him and he called me back once and when I left him more messages to speak to him, he never called me back. Overall I'm very disappointed with my whole experience.

When left stranded by another rental UHaul Chatsworth Boys got me on the road again after a four hour meltdown of what was I going to do with a crew waiting and no truck. These guys sure came through for me at the last minute with a 20' footer!

Stephanie has been a wonderful manager throughout my U-Box storage. Daniel was a fantastic help when I emptied the U-Boxes. I moved cross country twice in two years, and U-Haul was a huge help!
