The pick-up location in Chester was so much better than the terrible location in Crum Lynne where I initially reserved the truck and trailer but found out by accident when I called the location that a trailer was not offered there. So why when I went in person to reserve a truck and trailer did the person who made the reservation accept it???? If I had shown up and there was no trailer, I would have been very angry and walked out and never used U-Haul again. But, because the experience at Chester was extraordinary and the people there were so professional and helpful (especially Tay), that I will go back again and again to that location. The manage, Tina or Linda lied in me when she didn't service me. Our truck we rented on Oct 30 could have cost us our lives and she tells her manage I was rude. I asked for a partial refund on the truck. I like people with manners and good customer service. There was a young lady light skin looks mixed was nice, she needed some assistance but she handled herself well. When I contacted our drop off location and explained to them about my experience he advised me to call Chester where we got the truck from and that she will process our customer complaint, she was rude to him as well, she also was rude to my husband. We want a partial refund on your raggedy truck and the lady in Chester makes it sound like it's our fault when in fact that truck that we had came from NC. We sat in our car and watched her check the gas and mileage and that's it. I believe if she knew that truck just came from a long distance run, why would she offer that truck to us as we were going on a longer distance. I'm highly upset.

First, I reserved it to a nearby location where system showed an available 26ft truck. Then, they called me stating that they changed my pick up location... Which caused me to drive additional 15 miles! On the day of pick up 11/1, it was scheduled at 9 am, I arrived around 8:50 am, 6 more people lined up and after several central calls, the manager came in around 9:35-9:40 I paid 3 men for the labor and this location's unprofessionalism caused my paid workers to wait for 45 mins extra! I am requesting a refund for both labor and extra miles. 90$ for extra pay for labor and miles. email me at fatihgozuacik@gmail.com

My initial visit during pick up was excellent. My drop off visit was totally horrible ! The two elder women at the counter become extremely upset and very much so hostile with me when I mentioned my concerns about my vehicle not being maintenance. The oil light came on about 15 mins after I purchased the rental. Had time permitted itself I would have taken back immediately. However I was on my work lunch break. Nonetheless the elderly woman went on to say that vehicle NO LONGER GET OUL CHANGES AND THEY ARE TO SIMPLY RESET THE OIL LIGHT. Welp any educated human on this planet would know without a oil change there is no good engine , without an engine there is no vehicle. Meanwhile she senselessly ramble on with a bunch of unknown common sense. CUSTOMER SERVICE HORRIBLE , INTELLIGENCE ABSOLUTELY NONE, TRUE DEFINITION OF NOT BEING SMARTER THEN AN 5th GRADER.

my reservation was cancelled without informing me. I went to pick up the truck and was told I did not have a reservation. imagine my stress level when told I did not have a reservation and I was scheduled to move. Anyway, I called uhaul and someone was able to reserve an in-town truck.

Big sign on the door saying to wear masks yet not one employee was wearing masks. The guy that helped us was very nice and friendly and the rest of the employees were running around playing tag. There are cameras everywhere so I'm not sure how this is allowed and nobody stops it. The place was dirty!

Not charge for an extra day when I was on time and delivered vehicle before closing. Before this issue I had a terrific experience and service was great. This is wrong. We returned the truck and did not use it for an extra day. Uhaul was closed and didn't open u til 9am. Also, I rented a 20 foot truck and you advised a few days prior to service you only had a 15 foot truck. We already paid for our service and will not accept this charge. Please refund us the money and send us another review so not subjective to this experience.

The Large door broke on the truck on the first time I opened it at the loading location and it stuck in the open position, the door cables had to be removed to close the big door by the road service tech that took 4-hours to get there and tell me “Ohh Ya, I can't fix it, you will have Muscle the 150pound door up when you want to unload the truck and you'll need to buy a clamp to keep it open! It took 3-people to get the door open and I had to buy a clamp to keep the door open to unload this unsafe, old, truck. I was told my bill would be adjusted to only charge me One Day 0f a Two day rental, I'm waiting to see if this will happen. My back is still hurting from lifting that broken door at our destination! Not a good U-Haul experience but the road service ladies kept me updated as we waited close to 4-hours for the tech to arrive and in a few minutes tell me he can't fix it and he will close the door but to open it will take a few men since he removed the door cables and threw them in the truck. Again, nothing. The Pick up/Drop off point is easy to get to. Its close to a major highway with great access in and out. Also just handing back the key and waiting for the email receipt, is effortless. You helped make our daughter's move a lot less stressful. Thank you. I absolutely will always use and recommend UHaul to everyone.

I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE. The worker at desk when I rented and returned , was so rude. She shows no respect not even for herself. She needs a course in customer service. Without customer service you have no customers. Without customers you have no job. Wishing all others the best.

you had a fleet of trucks, from which you chose to give me the ugliest, chipping paint on the hood, muddy around the tires of the truck, obviously I was the first customer of the day, unless others were late in picking up their vehicles, Side view mirrors are loose, I had to stop every few miles to adjust them. Other than that, yes the experience was pretty good.

If i rent a trailer from a location I should be able to return it to any u-haul location. An the manager of the location I picked the trailer up at need to have some training classes in how to deal with customers an not get angry on the phone an hang up on customers thats not how a manager should act. And the location is not very easy to find for the roads you need to take to get there.

When picking up the trailer at 8am I told them I'd probably return it the same day. They said they close at 6pm. Since it's location is not in a very good neighborhood I was told if I left it is was still my responsibility. So I asked what tome they open on Sunday, I was told 9am but assured I wouldn't be charged another day. Well, my emailed receipt has two days rental which is not right. I need the second day removed. Thank you.

I was told that if I filled gas tank to 3/8 full I would receive a $15 credit. I did not do so and received a $50+ fee for fuel charges. I drove the truck 12 miles total, maybe max. Ridiculous.

The location itself was average but my experience with uhaul customer service was awful. I originally booked a reservation at the Claymont DE location and when I got there the mobile check in didn't work. I was on the line with customer service for almost 45 minutes before they figured out that there were no trucks at that location that had mobile check in capabilities. They then send me to the Chester location which is much farther away from my moving location. They took $10 off my bill but that didn't even cover the extra mileage and gas I had to pay due to the change in location. I've been using uhaul for years but this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth.

There was a hick-up with my order: I picked up some furniture-wrap blankets, EXPLICITLY requesting that they be dropped off at my final destination in Charlotte. However, the order was put together as "one-way" (correct) with the return at the SAME location (incorrect). I didn't spot this mistake until I came to a U-HAUL location in Charlotte to drop-off the blankets, which prompted a bit of a drama and about 40 minutes wasted of my time and the local personnel's who was trying to redirect the order to their location. Everything was resolved, in the end, but it DID take time.
