I bought a ten pack of extra large boxes and was told that any unused boxes could be refunded in good condition. Unfortunately I returned the truck after hours and I left the eight boxes inside the truck. The next day I went back to the UHaul facility to get a refund. The young man checked the truck and the boxes were gone. He told me there was nothing he could do and that I wasn't getting any refund. At no time was I ever instructed on where to leave the boxes. The young man told me that I was to eat the loss and I wouldn't get my refund. I should have been told whether to take them with me or where to leave the boxes. I'm a Marine Veteran and would never do anything intentionally. I'm very disappointed in UHaul and will never use them or inform my friends and family to ever use them at all.JULIO T.

It took almost an hour to get the truck, despite there not being a line. The man who served us was well intentioned, but didn't know how to use his computer to log us in. Then, he signed out one truck to us, but after realizing there was an issue with the tire pressure switched it out. However, he didn't change the contract, etc. sp we could t remark on the accuracy of the mileage, the gas, etc. Then, not knowing how to remedy that, he gave us back the truck with poor tire pressure. We asked him to note that the TPS light was on when rented, lest anything happened, but he never sent an updated contract. Finally, we requested to return to the UHAUL shop in the city we were traveling to. However, upon looking up the address of the place were to return, it was an auto shop 3 miles outside of town. Since we were paying by the mile, it hurt a bit to drive by the UHAUL shop (where we could drop it off to a real person and explain the mileage discrepancy etc.) to an empty lot with a few UHAULs scattered about.Tricia P.

I general, it is impossible to reach any U-haul location by phone. I tried to reach Pittsfield, MA for 3 days. The system puts you on hold and says please continue to hold but nobody EVER answers. Same story at Chicopee,MA. I finally got in my car and went there to set up my rental. Lee, MA is very good and does answer the phone. The hitch on the trailer I rented was very worn. With a 2 inch ball it was not possible to tighten it completely. When fully screwed down you could still lift the hitch off the ball about 1/2 inch. Had to listen to bad rattling noise for 500 miles. (yes there was enough tongue weight) . If a 1 7/8 ball was used it would probably be dangerous.GUNNAR G.

I was charged a fuel charge when I returned the vehicle with more gas than when I picked it up. The truck had lots of superficial damage on the outside and the seat was knocking any time I hit a bump.Lee S.

More staff on. I went to drop off the truck. The sign says to stay in the truck. Ten minutes went by I went in. Another 30 minutes went by and the gentleman @ the counter took the keys and checked it out after I left. I went from Chicopee to West Springfield and back. I did not refuel. It barely moved I was charged for 4 gallons of fuel. Sorry but no chance I used that much. I'd still use you in the future but I imagine a Saturday morning is busy. Time is money especially when people are moving. The gentleman working was friendly and courteous but you lose good people when you over work them.SEAN O.

Vehicle interior smelled like air freshener and cigarette smoke. Also, the gas guage was off. When I went to put gas in the pickup truck before I returned it the gas guage read slightly above 1/2 a tank down from 3/4. To get it back to 3/4 I had to put in over 20 worth of gas.FRANK M.

The interior of the vehicle could use a vacuum and some armor all. Actually found a to do list from the prior renter. Aside from that the 9' cargo van did what it had to. Helped me move across town without having to put so much wear and tear on the interior of my vehicle. Excellent breaks and only 22K miles on vehicle. Hardly used the dollyâ€" not worth the 7 $.MATEUSZ K.

We had reserved a 8 foot truck, and none were returned when we arrived for our scheduled time at 1 PM. So they upgraded me to a 10 foot truck, but when I went to start it- the battery was dead. I walked back to the office and they gave me an upgraded 15 foot truck. We returned the truck 4 hours early, since it was just an in town move of some building materials for our home. Other than that hiccup the return was smooth and easy.DESIREE S.

The online service was excellent my experience when I picked up the vehicle was bad the vehicle had a strong smell of marijuana and cigarettes someone left a used disposable mask on the dashboard and given the fact that we are under a pandemic the vehicle should have been at 100 % clean and sanitized. I had to buy a can of Lysol to desinfect and sprayed the whole cabin.RAFAEL O.

Everything was great at the store location. Took a little too long to get the truck but everyone was very helpful. The website is tricky because I removed all the ad-ons except the dolly but when I went to finish booking online everything was added all over again.Angel C.
