I rarely leave reviews, but with the OUTSTANDING service I got on Monday April 25th, 2022 at your Clearlake Springfield location, I knew I had to. Your sales associate TRENTON was AMAZING. He made renting fun. Right when I walked in I was cheerily greeted by name. He was professional, showed me all the ins and outs of my trailer...hooked me up and checked all my lights. As he was checking the trailer tires, we noticed my driver's side front truck tire was a little low. Trevor not only filled it for me, he made sure my other 4 tires were also correct. The shop was very clean and well organized. Renting was a breeze. You have a fantastic employee in Trenton!Jordan Z.

Don't let your Representative call and say I have nothing in my unit and no lock, unless they check that morning. I received that call and I thought my unit was broken into since she said there was no lock and nothing in itâ€¦I moved my things in days ago, and she called me just a short while ago, so she called to say that 2 days after I had already moved my items in.Brenda A.
I was in this location two days in a row to rent a trailer. The first day I couldn't take the trailer because I didn't have power to the trailer wiring at the back of my Grand Cherokee. Apparently if your Grand Cherokee didn't come with a trailer hitch from the factory you have to go to a dealership to have them reflash your PCM to turn on the power to the wiring, thanks Chrysler. Anyway, since I couldn't take the trailer they canceled my order and refunded my money. The next day I came in with a truck I borrowed from a friend and had no problems getting the trailer. Returning it was really easy as I only had to pull into the equipment return lane. They unhooked the trailer from my truck asked me if I wanted a printed receipt or to have it emailed to me, I told them I was fine with an email and they told me I was good to go. I didn't even have to get out of the truck. On both occasions I dealt with a younger kid named Trenton and he was great. He had a good attitude, was talkative and really made it easy to get the rental set up and didn't hesitate to cancel when I was having issues with my Grand Cherokee. The second day I was in there I had my 7 year old with me and he asked a million questions about everything he saw and what was going on. Trenton didn't hesitate to answer my sons questions and interact with him to keep him occupied even while he was working on his computer to get my rental completed. When we went outside to get the trailer hooked up Trenton asked me if it was ok if he gave my son some candy he got from his work break room. He said my son reminded him of himself when he was a kid with how many questions he had and how much he wanted to learn about what was going on around him. I said it was fine and it made my son excited to have some candy that he wasn't expecting. I will happily recommend this location for anyone that need to rent U-Haul equipment in the future. I hope everyone gets a chance to interact with Trenton as he's a great kid, works efficiently at his job and makes renting and picking up equipment a breeze and left me feeling better about my day. As someone that is a construction foreman I would give anything for crews full of workers with this kids attitude. It would make my life much easier. I sincerely hope U-Haul recognizes Trenton's contributions to their company. Without interacting with him this wouldn't have been a memorable experience as it would have been a routine and mundane chore of getting a trailer. I know Trenton will go on to be successful with whatever he does and I'm happy I met him.Fred H.

Truck road unbelievabley rough, check engine light came on 1 day into tripbut fluids and pressures stayed good so finished trip. Tow dollie was just serviced in Springfield and taillight fell out of fender hanging by wires . Unplugged and left light in cab of truck. Loading and unloading was great but long haul U-haul should look at air ride suspension.GARY R.

Everything was great, my truck was missing the appliance dolly that I had reserved but luckily someone that was helping me had one they could bring. They did take the charge off of my bill when I returned the truck and told them what happened and so I was happy and thankful for that. You ask the wrong questions. The staff was helpful and alway tried to fix and many many problems that came up. On separate ovations I was charged for the wrong unit, over charged, after paying in full every month my unit was put up for auction "accidentally". On 7/9 at approximately 3:45pm I arrived at the Clear Lake location in Springfield, IL. My husband, I and my father were greeted by a store associate by the name of "Fate". We informed him that I had a reservation for a 10x20 storage unit. He looked by reservation by name and informed me that he could not locate my reservation. He then asked for my phone number and was then able to locate the reservation. He then asked me for my ID and a 2nd point of contact for the storage unit. After giving that information he informed me that they did not have any 10x20 units available but he could see there were two 10x10 units close by each other. It took him about 30 mins to locate a couple 10x10 units but was unable to merge them together in the system. We went to look at the units to ensure they were clean and empty. Upon coming back into the store he informed us that for some reason the system was not letting him book me for one of the units. He then began searching again but was only able to show smaller units. He then stated he located two units but one was smaller than the other. Be advised an hour and half already gone by and my husband and father had left because they were frustrated with the situation. He then sat back in front of the computer after I informed him that the units that were on the contract were not the units that we looked at. I told him that I would feel more comfortable with two 10x10 units. During that time another associate whose name I did not get an opportunity to ask, asked me what size unit I needed. I informed her that I needed two 10x10 units next to each other. She immediately got on her computer and located units 1050 and 1052 with in a matter of 2 minutes. She assisted Fate in place those units in my name and I was out of there in 5 mins. I was so upset because the entire process took 2 hours and 15 mins with "Fate" that took the young lady all of 5 mins to complete. I was also upset with the fact that we reserved a 10x20 unit a week in advance only because not have it available to us upon arrival. We are a military family that drove all the way from Kansas to Illinois with two small children just to have this inconvenient situation occur. My husband is still very upset about it and is asking that UHaul give the 2nd month of storage free for the inconvenience.deidre s. | Expérience générale

The entire experience was fairly easy, I did everything online. When you purchase a storage online they give you 2 options and I chose option (pay now) so that I could have everything ready to move my things in. Once I got to my unit, I realized I didn't have a lock which was an option I chose so I could have everything ready. Well that wasn't the case I had to ask someone for assistance and they both were completely clueless and kept saying idk what to do. I can't give you something that we don't have which was completely rude!!!!!!! I was trying to get in and out. I had to spend more money for something that was included in the option that I chose. 6 weeks into my boat storage I was informed that the facility was not zoned for the storage of boats or RVs, so I would need to move my boat ASAP. Very inconvenient considering I was out of town when I received the call and had to have someone else move thr boat. I was offered another facility at 3x the price I was paying but declined.
