The only concern I had was that the brakes on the vehicle issued were spotty. I've driven across country in uhaul vehicles multiple times without issue or concern. The local move was rough and I ended up taking longer routes (more milage) than planned due to my concerns.Julianna S.

Original pickup location gave our rental to someone else. Ashland MA. Could not reach them by phone to advise them we were delayed. Tried reaching them for 2 hours. They DID NOT try to call us prior to letting it go. NOT HAPPYCatherine I.

I don't know what happened but I never traveled 107 miles. My GPS specified 11 miles from my apartment to the new location. I did one trip nothing more. The maximum miles it should have been 50 miles not 107. Overcharged big time. I don't know what this person did at the store but 267 dollars it was crazy. Never again I will use uhaul for anything neither my family and friends will use you.Christina M.
The heat didn't come making for a cold ride. I also mentioned it to the service manager who said he would check but we have yet to hear back. We also called customer service during our ride, but haven't heard back from them either.Robert R.
This may be common with Uhaul locations, but reservation/pick up/ return even though after hours was excellent. The after hours was a bit complicated but it was also complete. I think that is necessary to protect both the customer and business from abuse. Very happy.Theodore N.

The self service drop off experience made me feel like I was working for U-Haul. If you are going to force your customers to do the work you should refund them some minor amount off the bill for doing the work. It's U-Haul not U-Work-Here-For-paperwork.DAVID B.

The thing that is most important to me that you could change and should, is checkout/return time. The check out/return time should not be the time you arrive at the door but the time you walk out the door. This time and the time before, check out time did not match the actual time I left, through no fault of my own. Your time should start when you drive away. For my previous visit, I waited in line for a long time before I even reached the desk. And then the whole checkout process takes quite a long time and that should not count toward your 24 hours. Even after you walk out you still have to inspect the truck, take pictures, use your mobile device to answer questions. Also, the time I gave that I expected to arrive for this pick up was a tentative time, I told him I was walking to the UHaul store and so the time was not 100 % sure but it wouldn't be before 1130. So my check out time was marked as 11:30, even though I didn't get there till close to 12 and then by the time we completed everything I didn't drive out until 12:30. I called to ask for that hour because my contract said to return by 11:30. He had actually noted that I left at 12:07. That's when the computer noted, after our transaction at the desk was completed. But after that I still had to inspect the truck, and answer all the questions on the mobile app. I also then could not find the emergency break, as to me, it's an unusual place so I needed to get help with that. So my drive away time when everything was truly complete, was 12:30 PM When I called to ask him to change my return time to 12:30, he was kind to give me the hour, but that should be automatic and not require a phone call. He said that on his end it was marked that my drive away time was 12:07 PM so that I had the van until then. But that never was changed on my contract from 11:30 AM. And also I told him that was when I walked out of the building, I did not leave the lot until 12:30 PM because of inspecting the vehicle and the other things already described in this message. so I was allowed to keep the truck until 12:30 PM. It's just that that should not have required a phone call. All of these things should be considered when writing up the contract. The staff were nice, and I'm happy with everything else. Except for one other thing, the option when checking off condition, it is all or nothing when it comes to cleanliness. both of these last two times I rented a truck, overall it was clean, but not completely clean. So I checked that it was clean, but I would like to have checked something in the middle because there was trash left in the pockets of the door, and such things as that. I did not want to mark that it wasn't clean for little things, but I also want to be accurate. The staff are friendly and pleasant. These concerns are not with the U-Haul location, but the U-Haul company overall. Thank you very much for this opportunity to explain these things.LYNNE S.

Reserved a Pick Up for Saturday morning. We are in the middle of a New England winter, and I as a customer had to de-ice, brush off, and shovel out the back of the pick-up myself. The associate working the counter on 05 Feb, did not offer any assistance to come out and help clean the vehicle nor did he help any other customer as others also had to clean the snow off their rented trucks. It took 25 min before I was able to leave the lot. I suggest you have your associates on a -0 day pre-start the trucks to help your customers. Also, advise your associate to have a little bit of energy and offer assistance to your clients (maybe not be so eager to get on his phone). I believe I am due a discount on my rental for the inconvenience, and cut finger that U-haul Clinton made happen. Very poor experience!!!GEORGE P.

The lock boxes with the keys were empty. The truck was gross. There were some nasty stuff on the passenger seat. And I was not impressed with the level of support. I called the toll-free number when I found that the lock box was empty and was put on hold for more than 30 minutes. I gave up after that and luckily they were than open. And after yelling through the window I finally got help from one of the associates.David N.

There was no Dropbox so I got stuck in the freezing cold for 30 minutes while uhaul proceeded to ask me to bring the vehicle back the next day (after warning me only 2 hours earlier about the charges I'd recieve if I didn't complete the self return process). I was and am fucking pissed and will be calling to have this comped. Luis is a excellent employee and goes out of his way to help out. Uhaul the company is difficult and made the process take very long. I completed the self return process around 7pm and didn't get to leave the location because the lack of a Dropbox for the key until 8pm!!! You are paying for my time.JUSTIN C.

Rented a unit and the employee forgot to take the universal lock off so when my movers showed up with a truck filled with entire house we couldn't get into unit and the store was closed ! We had to let the moving company leave and go to a different town to unload the entire truck the next day by ourselves. Uhaul is very difficult to deal with sometimes. When you call the branch location no one pick up and customer service is very poor. Also they tend to charge you things that don't need to. Clinton location charged me for cleaning when I never heard of that and I left the unit clean how it was. They still charged me for cleaning. Stellar customer service! Antoine was friendly, pleasant, and extremely helpful. I had an issue with my storage unit and he solved it immediately. Can't speak highly enough about the service. The condition of the unit I rented was poor; I had a leak that caused slight damage to my items (I was switched to a different space once I mentioned it). I do wish the access hours were a bit longer, as I sometimes need to gather things for my business later at night. The staff was great, the rooms do get damp so I did lose some furniture. A tall particle board book shelf (not great material to begin with) it swelled from the dampness. And I also had to dispose of a couch due to mold. I didn't bother to fill out a claim for these items as they weren't great to begin with! If you need to store something long term you may want to find a climate controlled facility. If you just need some space for plastic totes and things of that nature this facility would be perfect. The facility on High St in Clinton is exceptional. The office is extremely well stocked and neat and organized. What makes this facility so special is the outstanding leadership of Tammy the manager. She is always so helpful and caring to the customers. Moving is a stressful time and Tammy's calming and supportive demeanor always picked up my spirits.
