Upon getting my storage unit it started that my hours of access were from 5am to 10pm. Which was fine. I was given an access code to get into my unit and needed to sign out before leaving. Which was also fine. However...a week and a half before my next payment was due I went to my unit to put things in (since I am moving) and I had a second lock randomly put on my unit. I called the U Haul office and they stated to me that I needed to "Check out" a key to have access to my unit. Ummm.....excuse me?? I paid $150 a month and was not late on my payment or anything but still needed permission to access my unit. I NEVER received any kind of notice on this. Just them putting it on and now demanding that I give them my drivers license to get the key to get into my unit. AND I could only access my unit during their office hours. Which was way shorter than the hours I was told and still to the day I checked out it said I had. I will NEVER do any kind of storage from Uhaul again!! EXTREMELY NOT HAPPY WITH THIS FACILITY!!!!

Over all uhaul cheated me out of time with my mom. She literally died while I was trying to return a trailer. Your people screwed the contract up an I couldn't return it in time to becthere. I hate you and your company.

Instead of helping me to save money during the stressful time of moving… They charged me over $100 for four hours, I'm very saddened. It's not the service I'm used to from U-Haul.

Leah BEveryone was friendly from the clerk inside that processed my transaction, to Bill, who hooked up the trailer and showed me how the straps, safety chains, etc. worked, to the guy that disconnected the trailer and checked it when I returned it. The service was efficient and friendly, yet no wasted time. The trailer itself worked perfectly. Good experience.
KEVEN JI worked with Bob and I didn't get the name of the gentleman who did the return for us, but they were both EXCELLENT! They were kind, knowledgeable, and they made every bit of the process quick and easy. They both get raving reviews from me, and definitely deserve a pay raise.

Brad GTold me to put in a quarter tank of gas in before drop off. So I did. Then proceeded to charge me 17 dollars for gas saying it was supposed to be above that. When I got the rig it was at a quarter tank of gas. The paperwork though said it was higher. Just ripping people off their money. No impressed to say the least. Will never use them again for anything. Very dissatisfied with u hual as a whole.

Miranda CTo improve your service, stop ripping off customers who know how to use google maps. I rented a sub-par van for $19,95 plus mileage. When I picked up the van, I was told that I would have to replace the gas I had used. We estimated 40 miles of use and I signed the contract. My house is 5,5 miles from UHaul. I drove the van to my house and loaded up my stuff. To avoid extra mileage, my partner followed me back to Uhaul, so that I could have my truck parked at the Lowes across the street when we returned the van. I then drove the van to a consignment store 9,4 miles from UHaul. I dropped off my stuff and drove it back to Uhaul. I stopped at a gas station down the street from UHaul and had to put in $15 worth of gas for a vehicle that I had drove for a total of 30 miles. When I dropped off the van, i assumed i would get a small refund. Instead, I was old that i was being charged for 46 miles! I had to pay $60,00 plus $15 in gas for a van i had for 2 1/2 hours and drove 30 miles. This is a massive scam. The odometers are rigged similar to taxis, so customers are forced to pay for extra miles they did not drive. I will never recoommend this service to anyone and I hope one day Uhaul is held accountable for scamming its customers.

Dan JThe return slot was empty, we pulled up in the middle of the day and no one was there. There was no bell or anyway of getting a hold of anyone, just a sign telling us to stay in our vehicle and wait. My wife went in and the counter said someone is on their way. After waiting for awhile someone showed up. He too, very much like the pickup location, seemed bored of his job and you could tell he didn't want to be there. He used the absolute minimum number of words and never smiled.

My U-box was extremely late- promised to be delivered by 07-10 but I was not able to access my box until 07-24! U-Haul customer service was horrendous. They could not locate my box or give me any help at all. They offered to give me $50 off but when I've spent over $2k with them, it seemed like a drop in the water. I have seen online that this is a persistent issue and I'm not the only one whom it's happened to. I had reserved a unit through them and was later told that "reservations don't mean anything, it's first come, first serve". U-Haul corporate needs to look up the definition of RESERVATION. Darian in the store was helpful and empathetic to my issues but still was not able to contact the ubox driver or expedite my late shipment. I have since moved to Keylock storage which has been a very pleasant experience. I recommend using a different company all together. Penske truck rentals off of Ramsay was better priced and very helpful. Key lock storage is about the same price for storage but I was able to get a bigger unit so in essence, it was also cheaper.

I expect more for the cost, not to mention the staff who refer to everything with storage units as a separate part of their business and out of their control. The manager Renee is curt to the point of rudeness and was so in every interaction I had there over two years' time - including when we first showed up from an out of state move and the unit we'd booked online was not available. Renee told me reservations online didn't reflect what she actually had on hand and I should've called to book it personally. No apologies were ever made and our full month's rent for August was charged even though we moved out yesterday.

From the moment we rented our first unit and then the second unit and then the box purchases and then the truck rental, it has been seamless and beyond pleasant. Moving is hard. I actually looked forward to going to our storage units, the facility could not have been cleaner every time we visited, it smelled great the restrooms were always clean, things were where they should be as far as carts and sanitizers went, I actually looked forward to going. The day we emptied our first unit felt wonderful but I seriously was saddened the day we emptied the last unit. I can't believe what a tight ship she runs and how great her employees are, she has a wicked sense of humor and she's no nonsense which I adored, everything in the facility always smelled so great and one night I left some of the items I had gathered in my car overnight and when I open the car I could smell the refreshing scent of deodorizer from U-Haul. Don't get me wrong, I never want to move again and I can't imagine I could find a better place to store store our things

I guess if you count to the outer most portion of that wall it is 5 feet but that wall space can't be used to account for a piece of furniture that is close to or exactly 5 feet! Actual unobstructed floor space should be used for all measurements!

I had an email confirmation and Renee found my reservation, but the unit reserved hadn't been available in months. I arrived with a truck full of furniture and six people to unload only to discover that my reservation was worthless. Luckily, Renee found us another unit!

My husband is a disabled veteran, and even though you your website says that a veterans discount is specific to each store this store did not honor a military discount. They not only didn't offer the military discount but they hiked up our rent every single year at least five dollars. There was a man living in the unit as a result many of our belongings were destroyed with mice infestation due to the food and everything left in the other tenants' unit/apartment. The access hours were supposedly until 10 PM but an alarm with sound as soon as we enter the building anytime after seven. Up until this last year it was impossible to get a hold of somebody by phone at that location should a situation arise in often it did there was always U-Haul trucks and trailers parked give me no vehicle access to where our unit was.

That people were allowed to enter the building without using their keypad or their code which often times the alarms were set off by people opening their units without checking in first. Happened about half the time I've visited my unit. Very irritating. Especially for someone who has tinnitus.

I experienced a few frustrating administrative issues over the course of having my belongings there including being called to provide my credit card over the phone for billing despite my card being on automatic payment for over one year at the time that I received that called. Also, after moving my belongings out of storage and checking out with the manager, I received 2 or 3 calls asking if my belongings were out of a unit that I did not have (nor ever had) my belongings in. Finally, despite checking out or removing my belongings on the 23rd of the month, I was not offered a refund for the remainder of the days that I did not use the unit. One unit was only used for 7 days out of a month's fees and another unit was used 5 days. I realize this may be company policy, but it really seems good customer service since I am no longer using the unit. Merci.

They made a reservation for me for a 10 x 15 Climate controlled storage, but when I got there the next day (as agreed upon) , they had no units available! The counter woman scrambled to accomodate me and I ended up with 3 units all spread apart and not the size I needed. I took them as I needed something to start storing my stuff! I think that's very bad practice to not check availability before having a customer give his credit card to hold a storage and have him go down to the facility (especially in these times) and find nothing is saved for you! If the counter person hadn't found something, I would have never used U-Haul again!
