We had some issues with the truck we were intended to rent not being at the New Hope location as we had reserved. We never received any update on this information prior to our appointment to retrieve our rental, no phone calls or emails. Additionally, we were told we would receive a 50 $reservation guarantee as our reservation was not met, however, we have yet to see this come through. We ended up adding additional mileage on the truck because we picked up from a location that was 16 miles away from the original reservation location. Thankfully the associate at the Coon Rapids location adjusted the mileage cost for this reason, but we still paid more in mileage with the lesser fees because of the significant increase in distance. A bit unfortunate.Jose C.
The first truck died. Took 5 hours to finally get it towed out of driveway. Roadside Assistance did not communicate with location. Next morning I rec'd a bill for the use of the truck. They did reverse the bill. However then we had to go through the whole rental again. Roadside Assistance is useless. No consideration from site for lost time dealing with bad equipment. I was told by site that they have no affiliation with Roadside Asdistance. Yet I when I contacted the site they transferred me to Roadside Asdistance.DONATA S.

Poor communication on hitch on backorder and that a scheduled install was not going to happen because of backorder. Didn't receive call when hitch was back in stock. Received call to schedule second install appointment well after appointment was already scheduled.Tim O.
The assessment of the facility should also include rating the staff who serves the customers. The guy who hocked up the trailer is lazy, disrespectful and rude. He hung the cables that keep the trailer firm on a loose ring and I told him to run the cable through the secure hole on the truck and he said he couldn't do it because it was difficult. I insisted before he sluggishly did it. There is a rubber band used to prevent the cable from dropping. On one of them he did not have it. When I asked him he just walked away.Reuben G.

Only problem was a miscommunication about the car trailer we reserved. We had to go to a second location to get it, and received several phone calls about how our reservation was going to be canceled if we didn't get there quickly. We weren't offered any kind of discount or compensation for this inconvenience (which was legitimately inconvenient as all these calls were happening on our wedding day), and that was really frustrating!JERAMY D.

I was charged 20 $for straps when I rented the trailer that I wasn't aware of the charge. I went back to talk with the uhaul staff and they said they didn't know that they were aware of that charge. I never asked to use the straps. Since I was charged for the straps I kept it. They're sneaky with hidden charges and if you are not aware of the rental agreement, you should ask first or I'm going somewhere else where honesty is a priority.Daniel H.

Verify that the charges are correct for the customer. Initially my bill was quoted for around 2 500 $and when I arrived to pick up the truck and tow it was 8 000 $. This was fixed, however, the staff should have realized this before providing me the expected bill for 8 000 $Benjamin P.

Two months prior to our move, we had requested to pick up from a location 5 minutes from us and drop off 5 minutes from us. 2 days before the move, UHAUL moved our pick up location to 20minuted away. After asking if there was anything closer we got moved to pick up and drop off 30min away. None of the extra miles were compensated. Very disappointing and will likely not use UHAUL again.NATHAN T.

We rented a truck and it smelled like someone smoked a pack of cigarettes in it. I didn't notice it until we were down the road but as the day got hotter it was definitely a disappointment. I am also not sure the truck was sanitized as we wiped the steering wheel with a cleaning wipe and lets just say it wasn't clean. The guys were great at check in and check out they just need to be sure the vehicles are cleaner.Jonathan L.

I had to go to 3 different locations to get the trailer and it was not a fun experience. If I can rent from anyone else in the future I will do my best to never rent from uhaul again.KARRY K.
I don't necessarily blame the people working at this location for my terrible experience. I think they did what they could. However, I would not recommend renting from U-Haul in general. I have rented trucks in the past from Budget and Penske and have not had any problems come moving day. However, my recent moving experience with U-Haul was a total mess. I received an email the morning I was moving saying that not only was the truck I rented not available, but they would not have a truck available at another location until 2:30 pm, when my original pick-up time was 9 am. I visited two different places the morning I moved trying to find an available truck and was on the phone (mostly on hold) with U-Haul for over an hour. Such a stressful and frustrating experience on top of moving, which is already a really stressful experience!ALLISON H.

It was really disappointing that we could not return the truck and car dolly to the UHaul in Mankato where we live and towed the car to get repaired. We had to drive and pay for additional gas to return the vehicle to this address. I would not recommend this location due that reasongary M.

The only thing better that you could possibly do at the Coon Rapids location is...... Nothing! Service was great, friendly, accommodating and met my every need, over and above my expectations! I was running late that day, I called to let them know, they adjusted my pickup time promptly. I mistakenly went to the Blaine location, the fellas at the Blaine location looked up my reservation directed me to the Coon Rapids location (I felt ridiculous showing up at the wrong location) I apologize to the staff member for the inconvenience and he was very pleasant about it. (we both had a good laugh) He also called without me asking, to let the Coon Rapids staff know I was on my way, and once again they adjusted my pickup time in the system. I arrived at the Coon Rapids location the guys were friendly upon coming in the door checking the truck out took just a few minutes. We went out to get in the rental truck, and didn't believe the size that we reserved was big enough. The staff guy came out to the parking lot I told him I didn't think the truck was going to be big enough could we get a bigger one. He asked which size we were thinking and pointed out the ones he had available we made the choice he went in the building, changed out the reservation in his system came back out within 3 minutes handed us the keys and paperwork, I thanked him kindly apologized for the inconvenience he told me no problem at all and was more than happy to accommodate our need, and off we went. Now if this isn't fabulous customer service I don't know what is!!! The snowball effect ' I created' right from the start was graciously handled and corrected by every staff member I encountered. From the CSR on the phone, the staff at two U-Haul locations, went over and above what most businesses would do, smiles included! ""Thank You"" to all the U-Haul staff who made the start of what was to be a very busy long hard day, a pleasant and stress free experience. ðŸ¤-YVONNE M.

Use the information that was entered through the UHaul online reservation system. The last two times I've rented, it seems like a brand new reservation gets created when I arrive to pick up the unit. The last time this happened it created an issue where the unit was reserved online for two days, but the onsite paperwork only showed one. Didn't notice this on the paperwork until I got a call from UHaul wondering where the unit was. They were expecting a one day.Timothy O.

Uhaul refused previous attempts to pay balance owed and lied several times saying my unit was set for auction and nothing they could do. Then I begin getting calls again several months later again requesting payment with a new auction date again unwilling to accept payments it was all or nothing. Then again months later I begin getting calls again and a voice-mail stating that they just wanted me to come pickup my things and vacate the unit. I called them back and suddenly they were insistent on full payment otherwise again another new auction date. I told them i didn't have 1 600 $+ and they asked me what I could afford and I told them I could do 200 $per week but they refused that as well.They called back again stating 400 $and i could have my things with about 4 days before yet another auction date which i couldn't afford unless they had given me the couple of weeks needed to raise it. I stopped taking them seriously and began feeling they were deceitful and crooked because of these practices and now I have lost the one thing I ever got from my father unfortunately after his death which was a shotgun among several other sentimental items from my recent divorce along with irreplaceable things from my 5 year old son that I will never see again all of which I imagine will be tossed out in the trash or sold off for pennies when it was priceless to me.Jason B. | Expérience générale

Facility was staffed and maintained far beyond expectations. Most notable is the excellent staff and staffing. I apologize but i do not recall the female staff member working (tirelessly) daily in the storage area but I need to single her out. She was very polite, professional and extremely helpful. When I commended her she would simply reply that customer service is a given and anything less than exceptional is substandard.
