I have called 5 times since 1/1/2021 and have absolutely no response from qny member of management in response to my faulty equipment claim and I'm absolutely disgusted. This company clearly does not care about their customers and our safety. Not to mention has employees that do not have a clue what they are doing. Horrible.

The employee who assisted me flat out lied to me and i still am unsure why. I had to cancel my reservation for a truck because i thought the trucks came with a lift. When he advised me they only had ramps i had to cancel. That must have irritated him. When i left i noticed that a utility trailer would likely work so i went online to look at the specifications and saw some were available. I did not book it online because i was already at the location. I returned to the same employee and asked to get a utility trailer and he told me they were all gone. Note there were approximately 7 -10 sitting outside. Frankly, not believing him i went online and reserved one. I did so in the store. I happened to once again get the same employee. He must have seen me on my phone because as soon as i walked up he told me the person in front of me just canceled. Interestingly, he asked which one i wanted. If the only one available was the one just cancelled, that would not have been a question. .I asked why he told me they were all gone when i just saw them available on line. His only explanation was "Why would i lie about a trailers?" My response was I dont know but obviously they were available. I did not pursue it any further as i needed the trailer and was concerned he would now not secure it appropriately out of spite. Seems ridiculous but if you are going to lie about a trailers, who knows what else would be done. The more i think of it the more it irritates me honestly. There is simply no need for that. I would recommend people but i would also advise them as to what happened and let them decide if they want to deal with that type of service. Hope this helps.

Customer service is huge in my book and one of the employees was extremely rude and had attitude. She went out of her way to make me feel stupid. Luckily, a young gentleman helped me out with my reservation. He was very kind and professional.

Constantly the computers would be down and kids work there never answers the phone instead just sit around on their sale phone. I had a 50 dollar VIP voucher and the kid said the computer couldn't accept it at the moment ,he said that he could call corp and see if there was something to do about it but he didnt want to cause it was Sunday and they probably wouldn't answer anyways . I called and got someone on the phone within minutes. The corporate customer service manager then tried to call and they never could get them to answered either I had to go and tell the kids their boss was on the phone then they answered and only after speaking to her and their manager did they try to work something out then he told me they could only discount it 30 bucks unless he called someone to get it changed on the other end which I said call then so in the end they honoree the 50 dollar voucher but only after I did way more work then I should have had to do on my end . Also In the mix I had lost my key to my lock and knew how to drill the lock with out damaging anything to which I was told I'm not aloud and would need to pay a lock smith which is 170 -200 dollars . Just FYi your policy is bs when I went to drill the lock I was stopped so I called the police to which they were agrivated about even wasting time on this they told me and the workers at the uhaul that the lock was my property and so was what is in side the locker that it is unlawful to stop me from poping the lock myself . So in the end I popped it myself. This scar taxtic is crazy on uhaul side . So In the end all experience was terrible both on the Chicago uhaul side and even more on the riverside location . I have never been met with such horrible, lazy customer service. Theres a whole other experience listed on my file of when I moved in . I will say everyone I spoke to on the phone from corporate was very respectful and helpful never had an issue with them .there is so much wrong with the riverside location I am surprised they are allowed to used the uhaul name .

Homeless people are living in the Uhaul parking lot. We noticed that the trailer door was left open while sitting in the parking lot, and a beer bottle was left inside. The trailer looked like it had not been washed. I really didn't want to rent it in that filthy condition but had no choice. There was no other trailer available! And I did not feel safe renting from that location.

Fire Lionel. He is the rudest person I have encountered in my 64 years. Didn't have his mask on, and told me my reservation was no good. I said I just made it 1 hour ago and he said oh you can rent the day you make a reservation ? This totally screwed up my move and I had to pay the workers I had hired. The left blinker did not work and a check was performed by the attendant who apparently did not want to take the time to be safe and have the blinker repaired or it was a coincidence that when I loaded my car and did my own inspection the blinker went out at that time.

Trailer was dirty with mud spray and the inside had a small amount of rocks, gravel and wood splinters! This did not bother me but may have other customers. I swept it out prior to returning!

I was greeted with move your truck! The desk check in was OK. When I was having the trailer hooked up I inspect the enclosed trailer. I found a appliance dolly which I did not order. The yard person checked my lights turn/stop ( he should have noticed the open door) and gave me a good to go. After leaving the yard I drove about 2 miles. I did not see the yard person remove the dolly so I wanted to check. I found the back open and the dolly had slid to the rear. If I had not checked, the dolly would have fallen out on the freeway with me liable for any damage or possible death for anyone behind me.On return to the yard I reported the problem and little concern on Uhaul's part. I believe I should receive a full refund for the rental and a apology for the negligence. Ed Cosner

Your customer service is bad. They have poor maintence on trucks and wrong levels on gas. Homeless live next door in alley way. They steal gas from trucks and customer has to pay for it.

The 3 men who were working were not friendly in the least. The guy who took the keys from us was extremely rude and uninviting. Wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. It's terrible. They also have a bunch of trash/people/cars in the alley right behind the building.

Too many homeless people just camping out and hanging around I didn't feel safe leaving the truck past hours with the uhaul app.

When I picked up the vehicle, it appeared fine. The gas cap was open like some of the others. When I drove off and loaded the truck I went to fuel up and fuel started pouring out from cut fuel lines. I was told that it is a daily occurrence yet the vehicle wasn't checked before I picked it up. First time using U-haul and will never do it again.

Very Poor customer service. Customer service rep informed me that there were know trucks available.(I explained to him I had an reservation but changed 20 mins prior but now wanted to change back). He was rude and far from helpful. He just said no trucks available until Monday. I asked if he could check the Riverside location for truck availability and he said no. I drove to the Riverside location and Andrew (GREAT Service) informed me that there was one TT available (type of truck i original scheduled) at the Corona store but the truck had to be returned Saturday at 5pm. Andrew called the Corona store for me to make the reservation. So I drove back to Corona and picked up the truck. 20 + years ago I worked at Uhaul as a GM. I was very upset with the unacceptable poor service received from the Corona Store. Not happy at all

My original truck rental was to pick up 8 am in Hesperia, drove up from Huntington Beach to pick up truck move my stuff to storage in Corona and drop off in corona. Got to u haul and my truck was not returned, it was reported stolen, they could not help me find another truck for early morning, closes one Barstow 4 pm and not garenteed . I had to call all over, finnally found truck down hill in corona for pick up 930 am, so i had to drive back down hill, get truck and drive back up to my place in hesperia to load and go back down to my storage, very upsetting and alot of traffic in afternoon, so what was supposed to be 108$ rental turned out to be 200$, very upsetting and bad service from uhaul in Apple valley. Corona uhaul was ok, had truck but did not offer to discount me for the situation that occurred.

Had a good customer experience (pick-up and drop-off), just wish that we were not charged extra for bringing the truck back a few hours later. If the base rate for the truck is suppose to be @ $29.99/day, then why is it that I was told that an additional charge would be incurred if the truck was not returned by 5:00 P.M. (very confusing to customers- not a good business practice)?

Need to fully and carefully check the vehicle before renting out to customers because I had mines where a fuel line was cut or snapped in half by I don't how it happened and I was stranded for hours because the u haul service was down and I was really not happy that me and my girlfriend was stranded for hours and I have to get the refund back which they did

Staff not friendly. Had their own conversation regarding how much work they had and disparaging the company at the counter. They wanted me to park the trailer I rented between two other trailers, risking damage to equipment. Also, the sizes on your website are MISLEADING. I rented a 4x7 trailer, but the inside measurements did not accommodate a 4x6 sheet of plywood I bought. Useful size of trailer is not shown when making a reservation. Your site prompts you to make a reservation, so the interior size of the trailer should be mentioned, not just the exterior dimensions. The trailer was USELESS. I wasted time and money renting a trailer that was too small for my needs.

I am a senior citizen that has used uhaul all my life. With them not allowing me to use the vehicle for the time they charged me for, was unacceptable. I am so disappointed with Uhaul that I sent an email to their General manager and he/or she, didn't even have the courtesy to email me back. Wow have times changed. Customers used to matter--not anymore.

The person who was helping me was RUDE, Cocky, and he was always on the phone talking to somebody while helping me park the utilty trailer at a TIGHT PARKING SPACE. he was also arguing with me when i ask him why do i need to park it at thre exact trailer parking space when its too tight to manuever and i might end up hitting other trailer on each side and the light post? his answer was well, you have no other choice! its the U-haul company policy!! I am surprise that i cant no longer leave the utility trailer at U- Haul parking lot instead? I am being required by this desk guy to park AT THE utility trailer exact parking space align with all other utility trailer which is very tight to manuever. i had been a loyal customer of UHAUL for so many many years but due to this bad experience with this RUDE and Cocky employee i am asessing my options if i will still rent at UHAUL the next time i need rental equipment. if he is one of my employee i will terminate this guy in a heartbeat!! My experience was very unpleasant the truck that rented was very dirty it was not possible to carry my things like that and I myself had to clean it both in the cabin and the back box when I returned I tried to get the staff to listen to me and I only received rude answer did not mean to listen to me literally turned his back on me.

What you can do better is provide the customer the equipment as in the confirmation email and not have the regional office call you a day or two before to let you know that there are no trucks available of the size you need and have a confirmation email on. Do some training with your staff on how to explain to a customer why they were sent a confirmation email and the difference between a confirmation and a request. UHaul will not be my first choice as it has always been in the past..... in the future I will search out every other option of rental moving companies/vehicles before calling UHaul. You may have lost a customer for life!

I just like to know why did I had to pay a extra $25.00 Cleaning Fee for the outside of the Truck? The person didn't even know if there was a charge for the outside of the truck but she still charge me for it. I even paid for the extra coverage on it. I would like to receive my $25.00 back

When we received the truck we waited until he was finished "checking it in " as I was told. The person at the desk informed me that I had a full tank which was great being that I was unfamiliar with the area, when in the truck I noticed the tank was 1.4 I went back in and the person at the desk told me not to worry about when I requested it be changed on the paper received 1. Gas was at 1/4 which is a far cry from "full" 2. The windshield was dirty both inside and out 3. And I highly doubt it was sanitized in any way shape or form because it was dusty and dirty Being that the area in which this county resides I believe it is in the purple tier and due to Covid I felt extremely apprehensive in even putting my hands on the steering wheel, I just so happen to have sani wipes with me and completely covered every area of concern. The truck drove fine and our return was good although I had to convince them to deduct the extra day of what you call equipment insurance. I left the truck with more gas than I received it in and wasn't offered any deduction. I really am uncomfortable due to not being sure where or who last used it and will follow up with a covid test I might sound extreme but you just never know and feel your company should follow protocols in ensuring the safety of everyone including staff who did not wear gloves. I expect a response and a refund of sorts. Thank you Juley Soteros

Hi There When I picked up my rental and was checking out at the counter, I was asked to remove my mask so they could take a picture of me. I dont understand why I photo had to be taken of me when I provided my license (twice) to uhaul, once online and then again in the store, and then provided my credit card (twice), once online and then again in the store. The photo was taken with a cell phone. This goes against state and federal mandates for use of masks indoors. Can you explain why your staff asked me to do this and put my health at risk? This is unacceptable in the midst of the greatest pandemic of this century and I was asked to put my family at risk for a photo. I have a wife and elderly father in law at my house. Given that this is the only instance I have been in public without a mask I hope we don't have to take legal matters if in fact Corona Virus enters my house from this encounter.

Just want to thank the management and staff at Uhaul of Corona for always being so friendly every time i would go. I would of kept my unit but the drive from Hemet to corona wasn't working for me.
