Upon return which was the same day; the two women at front desk had masks on. A man leaning over female staff my right had no mask. I brought that to his attention and he ignored me. Female staff apologetic. I said I had to go outside as the gentleman would not acknowledge me in anyway and continued leaning over woman's shoulder looking at computer screen. Myself as a maneger from my job. I like to explain to my co workers all the sea tails especially when there have been changes in the facility.I belive there's is lack of explaining from this location.I see they try more to be fast but that dosnt help when some one needs to know details.that makes the customer come back most of the time furious .and it's not good for the company .JOSE R.
The desk clerk told me that if I didn't purchase the damage waiver, I would be expected to pay for any damage in cash when I returned the vehicle. This tactic seems to be misleading and pressure to purchase insurance, which I believe my auto insurance carrier already provides. I will be checking with my carrier, and I am tempted to contact the state insurance commissioner's office to ask about his comments. He also did not provide us with a paper contract, which I would have needed, should I be pulled over, stating that the printer was not working. The lot is very crowded with vehicles, and backing the vehicle from the parking spot would have been impossible without my son guiding me. They should offer to back the vehicle out for the customer. I find this to be a bit shady, and if the opportunity arises in the future, I will not do business with the Danbury location again.Carl K.
Make sure the side view mirrors are adjustable and explain the fact that the HAUL LIAD option needs to be disengaged with every new "turn-on" of the ignition. The staff here at the Division St location is WONDERFUL!MaryBeth P.

Equipment was generally in satisfactory shape HOWEVER both side view mirrors could NOT be adjusted at all (believe me, we would've broken the mirrors to get them to move!) I had to move my body substantially in different ways to take any advantage of either mirror. This was especially "sketchy" in the dark. Also,since my cell phone died and I had to use another phone, the "after closing" check-in was impossible as a code to my phone wasn't useful. Hope a "workaround" other authorization could be made available for this kind of situation in the futurePeter R.

The cube truck I rented had two codes set on the ride to my move location (stabilitrack and traction control). More problematic was that the truck had no break lights which we didn't realize until it was pointed out on the ride. We called for roadside and the tech that showed up claimed to have fixed it (he did not) and the break lights were out again when I dropped off the truck. Additionally, the drop off location changed three times, the final drop off location has absolutely no signage and was behind an old warehouse. Nobody expects a great experience with U-Haul but this one was really terrible.Ernest A.

Hi, Facility generally in very good condition. Where there is opportunity here is with the staff. One female staffer runs the show and is clearly a leader. I have no disputes. However I told the person at the desk to whom I handed over the keys that though I wanted NOTHING back the room I was vacating, it contained several boxes of brand new and expensive books, video cassettes, CDCs, sheets of stamps for collectors, unused new greeting cards for all occasions, unopened packages of stationery etc etc and it broke my heart that all this would be thrown into garbage. I pleaded that the boxes be opened and checked and these materials be salvaged NOT FOR RETURN TO ME but either to be kept by an employee for personal use or for sale or for donation to library or goodwill stores. I was promised that not only would this be done but that any bank statements that may be there would be shredded and that any family photographs that may be found would be returned to me or I would be called to pick them up. The lady even asked me for my phone number and wrote it down. She promised that I would be informed. My only regret is that I have not heard a word from your office in this matter. So, NO DISPUTES, ONLY REGRETS, I feel that someone who had the storage for years deserved this courtesy. Minor issue: I usually had to find staff to get the sliding glass door unlocked during normal open hours. The main door has a large threshold that makes it difficult to move a heavy or fully loaded cart into the facility without risk of damage from items falling off. This can get pretty frustrating when you need to move a large volume of items in a hurry. It'd be less of an issue if the threshold of the main door is fixed to allow carts to easily roll in. Otherwise, it's a great facility and I'd be happy to rent a space again if I return to the Danbury area.Jonathan M. | Expérience générale
