Truck had a cracked side mirror, mirrors would not move, frosted windshield and no ice scraper, charged for dolly I didn't use, and said truck was full but I topped with 11 gallons for only 30 mi use (2,7mpg!)-pretty sure it wasn't full.

I would check to see if you can rent some where else. If you can't then just make sure you double check everything. The man working the desk didn't even report my truck being returned. The next morning I'm getting messages to return the truck and extra charges when I had only used the truck for four and a half hours then returned it. The employee wasn't busy when I returned it. Makes me wonder what is going on with that place???

I guess I just don't understand why pay for mileage if we also have to fill the gas back up upon return? Hell I went over a few miles then originally planned but then I also put the gas tank on full upon return even though it was a little under full when I got it. With all that being said they made sure I was still charged an extra $13 for the overage in miles. Smh lesson learned...

The truck was ready when I got there. Couldn't use the 24/7 option to finish pickup. It kept on saying I wasn't at the location. Had to finish getting the truck at the store. Which put me behind.

You can clean or shampoo the trucks better because I'm tired of every time I rent a U-Haul it reaks of marijuana I sometimes have to put my kids in the truck with me it's very unprofessional not classy and just makes me wish it was someone else I can rent trucks from. I would also like to say that I really done think mechanically the truck is taken care of well it stalled with me and I'm no mechanic but I can tell these trucks are poorly maintained sorry for such a bad review but I'm just being honest.

I gave good ratings, but I did have 2 major issues. The first time I went to get some things out of my unit it was locked with a U-Haul lock on it. It was an error. The only reason it was an issue is because I was in a super hurry and very jammed up that day. It took extra time to get into the unit. Next, when I did get in, my stuff was soaking wet!! That was a huge problem, again because of my time crunch. Needless to say I was NOT going to put another thing in there. It was a maddening experience. I do think my experience was a rare and unfortunate one, that is why I am not giving a bad rating. I like that your facility looks very nice and so glad you took over the old rundown K-Mart.

I came a little early to pick up my van. My request was accomodated- which I greatly appreciate. The van hadn't been cleaned yet- but that was fine with me. The tire pressure was low on one tire making the warning lite continuously be shown. I notified the gentleman before I left- and he said he would note it for when I brought it back. Also, even with only 3k miles, the van seemed to shift very differently- like the transmission was slipping.

The reason I answered NO to #5 and #6 is because the facility needs to be fumigated very badly. I only had a storage space for one week, and I noticed cockroaches in my plants as I was removing my property from storage. Many more cockroaches came out of my furniture when I got moved into my new home. They were not in my property prior to being in the Uhaul storage facility and I had to fumigate my new home immediately.

The facility is clean, easy to access and in a convenient location. Customer service is lacking. Called and was on hold for over 15 minutes and no one answered. Tried to rent on the website and the system locked up at the third step on multiple attempts and wouldn't advance to complete the rental. Went to the store in person and was assisted after a short wait. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable.

I've rented here before and I have always found the service friendly and very good and the equipment in great condition. On this occassion I decided to use the Mobile pickup. I made my reservation online at uhaul.com website. Since I wanted the truck before the location opened and because the service is "electronic" or automated and I work in IT and things aren't always as good as good as they sound, I called ahead to the location to inquire how mobile pickup would work. I was told they prepare the truck the night before and the accessoies I ordered would be in the truck and I would retrieve the keys from the lock box once I arrived and allowed my GPS to locate and there was no way they could not leave keys in the lockbox because they couldn't lock their main facility doors to leave for the evening unless my rental keys were in the mobile pickup lock box. The guy was insistent I give him my credit card # so I informed him that I already had the information filled out on the uhaul website I just had to hit the submit button. So Sunday AM, I arrive a little after 8am trying to do mobile pickup and of course it tells me i have to come back and do a manual pickup when the faciltiy opens. The attendant claims that they forgot to put the keys in the lock box, however, the truck was parked some 1 000 feet away out on Pershing road with none of the equipment I ordered in it and pouring down rain. I honestly beleive an employee at that location changed my mobile pickup to a manual pickup, and I am wondering if it is because I wouldn't give the guy I called there my credit card number over the phone as he asked for it about a half dozen times. Or if they get a commision of some sort for local orders. They also told me during the manual pickup I had to give them my drivers license and credit card all over again after I had supplied it on the web site...being in IT that makes no sense to me. It was on file with my reservation......as my order was not fully billed due to the pending mileage charge added AFTER I use the truck. In addition, they marked that the truck had 3/8 tank of gas and while it did have over a 1/4 tank it was not 3/8. I returned the truck with the same amount of fuel I left with and got hit with a $15 Fuel fee.....what happened to giving me a full tank of gas so I could return it full and didn't have to guess? hmmm? Then the mobile drop-off was never explained to me so I could not do the mobile drop off at 9PM Sunday night as I had just locked the keys in the lock box and then tried to do the drop off in the individuals car who was picking me up. Overall not too pleased with this particular experience...shining example why America is going in the toilet...this whole experience is about the greed of corporate America and the pressure they put on their employees to pad the bottom line. You know the rate was reasonable, accessory rental prices were reasonable, the mileage charge a little high especially with me paying fuel, but then slamming customers with added fees and setting up the system so you can easily add those fees to unsuspecting customers is a little disconcerting. Thank you for taking my feedback.

It should make a difference what color you are or what female or male Charleston Illinois site should have been more courteous to me by not charging me to deposit when I was not supposed to be encharged a deposit so with that being said The employee at the Decatur location was very very nice very very helpful and he was he he did all he could and he would also return my deposit bit might be possible but I also felt like that that put me in a bind after they charge me that so anyways I thank you very much watch what the split services

The service was perfect. I've never had anything but a great experience with the staff and the product at U Haul. As a life long resident of Decatur, I am so pleased that U Haul moved into the old Kmart. The building looks great and the area is well kept. This business is a great asset to Decatur in every way!

Love the room should have went with 10x15 but I made my choice work. Building was very well maintained. Love the fact you was given a new lock along with your unit. Love the inside unloading and use of carts. Love the access control to the building. Love the fact it's climate controlled.

I was charged $7 extra for the dolly that came with the truck, and DID NOT use. It seems to be an excessive charge. Also, the storage rooms need to be fumigated. There were cockroaches in my belongings when I picked them up from storage.

Everything was easy to do to reserve the truck online. The free storage unit for 1 month with 1 way rental was a major savings as well as very helpful. The people I interacted with during pick up and drop off were polite and professional. I will use U-Haul again. To be honest you guys are killing it keep it up.

This is my first experience renting a U-haul. I wasn't sure what was involved. I downloaded the App and completed it on line. When I arrived it seemed what I had done on line was duplicated. The customer service representative at this location was excellent! So it was no fault of his. I just felt like I didn't need to complete the online process.

Trailer we were pulling the straps were worn. One came undone in transit. Trailer had mud and gravel in grooves. Tires were dangerously worn . Truck engine was loud. Engine made noise in like rocks in it while driving it

It cost me a great deal of unnecessary money. The guy refuse to give me the key to storage and the truck he said I can get the storage key when I'm finished with the truck. Well when the loading was finished it was closed which cost me 159 more dollars to hire new movers to unload the next day. I was given a storage inside at the very end very expensive lesson never again uhaul

I set the alarm off twice; I didn't realize I needed to insert my code to deactivate it. It would have been helpful to have that detail highlighted in the email that was sent. The staff was wonderful and helpful and made the move in very easy
