Do not rent often, overall good experience until end of rental. while on-line return was not too bad once I was able to use a cell phone that U-haul would locate. Showing up for return at 18:48 (Google maps)18:49 (Verizon) and being told to return on-line because "we closed the office already" was a little rough to hear after, well, moving. This is the second truck I've rented within a 2 week period. I've rented from 2 different locations, and returned both trucks to the same location in Bluffton, IN. The process to rent the vehicles was different. The location of this rental was more reliant upon a self-serve approach, while the first pick up location and drop off location is all about serving the customer.

I had an after hours return. I went to your website and did everything I was supposed to do for the return. After entering the mileage it told me there was an error on your end and to try again. I did it three times and it had the same error every time I tried it. I got charged the 20.00 early return fee for not using the app. I don't think that was fair since I attempted to do what I was supposed to doe 3 times and the error was on your end.

Give a refund.. I found out that I got the u haul on the wrong day as I was driving off the lot and I went around the block to pull back in.. I explained to them what had happened and that I needed the truck in 2 days and how I just went around the block due to the way the store is place and they couldn't help me or wouldn't help me so I had to pay just to go around the block to return the truck

The entire experience was Excellent. From the beginning phone call to make reservation, picking up the vehicle and returning vehicle everything went smooth. All employees were well informed, helpful and friendly. Couldn't have asked for anything more! Great experience, definitely will go there again!

Learn how to manage your services!! Was charged wrongly and when they tried to fix it they ended up charging us 3 times! We finally contacted the fraud department of our bank who said they will give us our money back and investigate. Your people keep showing us papers saying the problem was fixed, but all it did was add on more charges. We will never use u haul again!

The lady working that day has very poor customer service, my attitude shouldn't depict her's and therefore she should have conducted herself entirely different. That's not even mentionimg the fact that she wanted to argue with me about what I was charged, when I was actually charged for 3 days. The billing issue still hadn't been resolved and I will be filling up in store as soon as business resumes after the holiday. I just hope they can do something to satisfy me seems how now I've been overcharged even after I was insured that the difference would be returned to my account in 24 hours and that has yet to happen. The vehicle wasn't properly maintained and actually ended up costing me more in gas; $18 to refill ¼ tank of gas??? With acceleration issues and the gas petel acting as the brake when trying to accelerate after slowing down, oh and the visor feel completely off while drive down the rode. Can we say safety hazard? And I bet I would have been held responsible for the damages if it would have caused an accident. I HIGHLY do not recommend using the 24\7 U-Share, just go in to the store so you can get a properly running vehicle. Otherwise I've never had issues with them prior to this recent experience.

The unit was not what was explained when I came into the location. The worker lied about what could be stored into the unit! The facility is dirty and the space was not well planned at all. There are safety and security issues as well!

This was by far the worst experience I've had with U-Haul! I called to reserve a truck 4 days before my moving day and had no problems. I was told that a person would CALL me to confirm my reservation. BUT.... I never heard from anyone. No call, no email, no text message. I called the same location that I called to reserve my truck (Coldwater Rd. in Fort Wayne, Indiana), the day before we needed to pick up the u-hual, just to confirm my reservation. I couldn't get through to anyone for several hours. & Yes this was during normal operating hours.... So the following morning, which is our moving day, I call to confirm our pick up. This time I reached a girl and she informed me that this location was not the correct location for our U-haul rental. I got quite frustrated with this because for one, no one informed me like they were supposed to and for two, my fiance was already on his way there (our reservation was at 9 am.. opening hour for that location). If I call the Coldwater U-haul to reserve a truck, I would expect that I'd be picking up my rental at that location. If that information was to be different then I should have received notification of that. The girl showed NO care that I was not informed and was quite rude with me about it all. She said the right location was downtown and that it's not their fault no one called me. No apologies or anything. This didn't help my frustrations as my fiance was already driving 30 miles to get to the Coldwater location, now add another 10 on top of that, PLUS being on a time constraint with the rental. As a customer service representative, she displayed the worst kind of customer service. I understand that it wasn't this specific girls fault... But when you work for a company, any mistake that is made, you take the heat for it and apologize. You make the situation right!! She did the complete opposite. On top of that, the truck we got LEAKED ALL OVER OUR BOXES.. I had several boxes that were wet and consequently got my items wet. I'd hate to think that she got mad from our phone call and called the other location to ensure we got the crappiest truck possible. Some of the wood boards on the side of the truck for strapping items to, were also broken... I'm so disappointed in this experience with U-Haul. It did not need to be this way. The people here were absolutely wonderful! They were friendly, informative and when I made a mistake with trailer sizing. They were more than happy to help me switch it. (An action that I was forced to repeat twice due to inadequate measurements. My fault not theirs.) The experience most certainly made an exhausting move so much easier!

The lady working that morning was not friendly. I got my “approval” online and was told to stand next to the counter and skip the line. When she finally came back inside from helping another customer, she ignored me. I told her I just needed to pick up my key, she stated “I'll get to you when I can, who's next?” I then stated I received an email to skip the line. She rudely asked me what my key code was. She never went through any pick up instructions, the dolly and moving blankets were not in my uhaul and they tried to charge me for them upon return. I was charged extra for gas, even though the gauge was where it was when I picked it up.

This is an incredible store. Every time I've ever needed anything THIS specific location has never once presented a negative experience. Absolutely fantastic place. Corporate: please refrain from breaking a good thing, my opinion of uhaul isn't as favorable.

Returned the trailer I had rented after hours. Tried to do the online return as instructed but it wouldn't let me go past the "verify your location" section and kept saying I needed to turn on the "location sharing" on my phone even though it was turned on. Had to leave the trailer because I had to be at work the following day during your open hours. I had to pay an extra $20 because your web interface would not work properly. Tried to call the location to talk to someone the next day and was on hold so long I had to hang up. The service from your people at the location the day of pickup was very good but I'm extremely dissatisfied with the return experience and additional expense I had to pay through no fault of my own. I will definitely look to rent from another company the next time I need a truck or trailer.

I moved out of town approx. 100 mile trip. U Haul helped me to accomplish everything and they were so friendly and explained all the details to me. I purchased from U Haul all my moving supplies needed to pack up my home. They had so much to choose from I did not have to go anywhere else to get one single item. I rented a Truck for a one-way trip that process went much smoother than I thought it would. I was also able to get a dolly and packing cloths to cushion my furniture and glass table tops for a very small fee. Then finally I rented a storage unit in the new city I moved to; it was large enough to hold all my furniture, household items, clothes & boxes. And the 1st month was free of charge!! By now I am exhausted from the move and I originally was supposed to drop off the truck at a different location closer to my new home. However, they allowed me to return it at the U Haul storage location. U Haul made this overwhelming move to a new city smooth, calm and friendly. Mind you I just buried my Mom a few days prior. I received excellent customer service from 3 different locations. With my Mom's death my emotions were on edge not to mention all the work to move to a new city. U Haul is to be commended on how much they helped a single women and I admit I was a emotional mess the entire time. I am so grateful to all the staff and I want U Haul Management to know JOB WELL DONE! A very satisfied customer, Patricia
