After making a week long trip with the u-haul trailer. There a couple of ups and downs with it but all of the employees I talked to were very friendly and helped out. I also needed to storage spaces and they were quick and easy with getting everything set up and done with.

The 15ft truck had a transmission problem especially on the tow / haul setting, it was OK down hill but not good up hill or after accelerating. I would not change up to the next gear higher gear without a lot of trouble playing with the throttle. I think that's why my MPG was so low as I put 45 gallons of fuel in there for the less than 300 miles I did.

Customer service...the inbility to contact locations directly by phone...inability to get any direction for where to drop off. Bookings acrew up like being booked at 3am to get a hitch installed...worst customer service I have experienced ...I think you guys have a corner on the market. Are trying to run things by machine...overall would never go back to uhall...except there is no other place to go.. .your booking system need serious upgrade to be customer friendly. In my opinion

A representative called to ask to charge our card more money. We stayed that everything had been paid for. He called his supervisor, they said everything was taken care of, apologized and we hung up. Come to find out, they cancelled our movers which disrupted our move! When we called back. Nobody had answers. Absolutely terrible customer service

I was promptly greeted by a very pleasant young man. He pointed out a safety device was missing on the receiver screw down and I said the man at the pick up Uhaul said the same thing about a piece missing but seemed to think it was not an issue. He said it should not have gone out like that.

All uhauls have same lock key for Bay door on back of truck. That gives all customers that rent a uhaul truck access to your truck bay door. Universal locks and keys should be removed. Gives customers false hope on property security. My truck was broken into on uhaul property!!! With a uhaul key??

Growing tired of kids only able to answer “no” to any questions: No trailers to fit my Can Am Spyder No ramps to try to load it in a truck How many miles with 1/4 gas tank... don’t know Had to force them to rent a van and find a way to get the Spyder in it (don’t ask!). I returned a truck at 5:04pm on Sunday evening after filling the tank back to a quarter tank of gas. The employees were leaving the store and just told me to drop off the keys in the drop box and they would get to it in the morning. I received my receipt and they charged me $80 total for fuel saying that I returned the truck on empty which I know to not be true. I even called prior telling them that I was going to be just a few minutes late because I was at the Arco gas station down the street filling it up. I called the store and was routed to an off site answering operator named “Patty” and she told me she would message the manager and took my phone number down. I have yet to hear back from them. I’m hoping to get a call back soon to rectify the wrongful charge on my credit card.

Everything was great here also. Staff is very organized and know their jobs very well. The only thing to improve here is to inform us a head of time if there is no inventory for your storage units. We have no complaints since staff did accommodate us with locks and another options since we need to pay a little more. They were great since we had a one-way rental and driving for almost eight hours. We are very satisfied and will be customers for life. Thank you again.

1. Change your recording and hire additional customer service representatives, since, according to Lydia Figueroa, Uhaul, a national chain, apparently has only 3 operators on duty, Friday night of Easter weekend, thus resulting in hold times of up to 20-30 minutes, whilst an annoying Uhaul marketing recording is repeatedly played. I was put on hold for 18 minutes just to talk with Lydia and then spent additional time having to explain my unpleasant experience with Uhaul. Now, I'm wasting even more time. Total time wasted with customer service: 28 minutes. 2. Picked up my reserved 15' truck at the El Cajon store. I specifically inquiried where the nearest drop-off was to my new address. Instead of the nearest, I was actually provided a store further away. I drove home, picked up helpers only to discover the roll-up door was padlocked. I called the El Cajon store & advised them of the issue. The manager, Frank(?) arrived, unlocked a Uhaul padlock, apologized & left. Time wasted: 1 hour Time wasted in Yuma stopping @ 2 Uhaul stores closer to my new house: 20 minutes. The drop off staff and the El Cajon store manager were friendly, but I wasted a lot of time Perhaps remedial training for Uhaul staff is in order.

It was disappointing that a non profit organization that rents for a 24 hour period has to pay $72 because outrageously over charged mileage charge of $1.09 plus gas. I won’t be using UHAUL again. No break for organizations. So not ok.

I had used this location before with no problem but this time I had bad experience with the delivery of the van, the person who checked me in put wrong gas tank level information and I didn't pay attention to that so before returning the van I put $5 worth of gas because I drove it only 17 miles as the papers shows, when I checked out they were trying to charge me $16 for fuel and they made take it to the gas station to put more gas($8)

U-Haul lied to me!!! I gave a 10 notice that I would need a 10 foot box truck. they quoted me a price of $109.00 and the day I got to where I was to pick up the truck they quoted me a price of $785.00. I want to know what kind of a business you are running. Don't fish and bait people and the day they are to pick up the vehicle, you screw them over. You had me over a barrel then, but I will NEVER use U-Haul ever again. I will tell all my friends and the people that ask me about your company to go find another company to rent from. If you quote someone a price, live up to it!!!!

It was a very frightening experience. On all down grade highways the 17' UHaul made a squealing noise and the RPM rose to 4500-4800. We didn't know how we were going to make it to Tucson. Also, breaks were spongy during the whole trip. Sales people were nice and friendly.

One part on clean the ramp was full of dirt and rocks . let employee know of issue and he said that people use them to make trash runs. I understand this but I do believe when vehicles that are returned should be checked out from the cab to the back to the ramp. Just a helpful thought.

Your company typically asks for an alternate phone number in case the equipment user is unavailable for some reason. While I am a repeat customer the cashier at Uhaul has never called the number provided during other rental transactions; however this time my contact was called, and this is upsetting for the following reasons: 1) This was an intrusive cold call for which I have not prepared my contact. 2) My contact was informed I was renting a piece of equipment which happens to be none of my contact's business. 3) My contact was asked if he consented to be my contact (he was alrready by the way, after all, the cashier was calling him already) as if I needed a co-signer or permission to rent equipment. Your customers typically provide a form of identification and credit card, please don't humiliate them calling someone to vouch for them!

Reservation host guranteed my belongings would fit in the size she picked when I told what size truck I had rented and what items needed to fit in space. Upon arrival space was not adequate for belongings and had to keep repeating myself to staff to get what was required. Also someone elses belongings were strewed all over the area where I was unpacking. Very dissatisfied with entire service from the start. Truck and trailer worked great.

The person who helped me at the counter said I needed a second point of contact Incase they were not able to reach me. I have him the name and number is a friend. He then picked up the phone and dialed him saying he needed to verify. I’ve been using U-Haul for YEARS and never has this happen. He said it was policy that he call while I was standing there. I asked him to show me that policy in writing and he was unable to do it.

The door was open to walk in almost every time I went to my unit. The equipment I had to use to access my unit was in poor condition, stairs would barely lock down. Rats & bugs. I DIDN’T FEEL SAFE.
