I contact this UHaul store, to address what I think might constitute a limitation of their online services: to rent TWO utilities trailers with one single car and one account. This may sound strange at first. Naturally, I can't toll two trailers at the same time, but my legitimate business and legal need was to load both trailers, making the best use of my contractors time, and drive them one at a time. I have the displeasure to engage with Omar, the little, wanna be tyrant. (This is what happens to badly educated people with a little power). What supposed to be a call to find way around a system that, most likely, was not prepared for this order (by the way, I am a software architect. One of the most senior in the country) became a back and forth with this guy threaten my account with UHaul. First, he told me that Uhaul doesn't allow me to disconnect the trailer. Something that is not in the contract and that I've done multiple time with my personal trailer in FL and with Uhaul trailers, including when I moved from VA to NJ with my car while tolling my wife's car. He didn't respond to that. Also, when I mentioned that there is no way that UHaul would know that a trailer was disconnected and that I could prove him wrong (I meant to say that I could probably do two orders or open up two accounts using my businesses) he went ballistic and threaten to flag my account. My answer is GO FOR IT. I have multiple business accounts, multiple phone numbers and multiple cars. In addition, I can always go to another store or UHaul competition. I was just trying to find a way to communicate a legitimate and legal intent and I was hassled and threatened by this little tyrant. DO YOUR WORSE. By the way, this complain is going to be repeated in social networks and BBB. I am a software ARCHITECT. Go read what this means. Your handling of this matter will cost the owner of this store.

The Manager Mr.Omar always does a wonderful job, he's very polite & always make sure the truck is Road Ready. I enjoy Renting trucks from this location.

The customer service was terrible they told me to park my car to the side in the lot while i got in the truck, while i was driving i get a call from the manager, Omar to tell me to immediately drive back and move my car. I explained to him that the staff member told me i could park there and he told me i had to leave what i was doing to come back and move the car. I was in the middle of moving and was already an hr away. They told me that this is the second time that i parked my car there and I explained to them that yes it was because the last time the other employee told me to park there as well. I was following their direction. When i got there, there were about four staff members yelling at me and telling me that i could no longer rent from them. I told them it wasn't my fault since the employees gave me the wrong info and i had seen other cars also parked there so i didn't know. And i didn't get to finish moving since i had to come back to move my car. So i just returned my truck and went home. I wasted $68 just to not get anything done that day.

Take photos of the truck after claims have been made. I brought the truck to the location only to realize too late that there was previous damage to the truck. The photos I had to approve/decline were before the damage. Then when I tried to dispute them I was met with an error message. I knew I was fine due to the “quick claim” stickers everywhere but I would have felt better seeing them in the photos in the first place.

Since their system was down at the time I picked up the AT trailer they used another store to rent the trailer through their system. Someone forged my signature on the legal rental contract. I didn't know about this and was never asked to sign anything.

This was so stressful experience in my life, in my reservation you guys provide me with a different address in Elizabeth, the address with an empty lot next to the mechanic no one was there at 9am, I called the number in the door and the representative didn't know I was schedule to pick up the truck in that location and later I called him back and provide me with the address 100 Sherman ave. this is a poor service. whit this experience I will be looking for a different company.

Compare to other facilities I would have returned to the one storage place I experienced in the past because of reasonable prices and not over charging but due to the fact that I didn’t want to move my things out and start something new I stayed until I was leaving for good but thank you

I had a cancellation at the last minute from Uhaul Hillside. I was terrified. However, Omar the representative from Uhaul Elizabeth saved the day. He was able to get me a available unit at the Elizabeth Uhaul storage and charge me the same rate of the unit that I was supposed to get in Hillside. Now that's, EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
