Only two areas to access inside. My units have two sets of doors within 50 feet that could be utilized to access storage area. I had a 24 ft uhaul Packed full and had to carry all items down numerous aisles and around three sets of storage unit sets. The distance from the truck to my storage unit was ridiculous. When questioned Jim Kisamore was less than cordial, and yes I was very upset because I asked before renting if I could drive up to the units or did I have to pack everything in, and was told I could drive to the unit. Another person unloading was not happy about the lack of convenient access also. A key pad at the doors in the far left unit area would be greatly appreciated. One of the bay doors was damaged so the manager shut the entire unloading station down but even at that, the distance from there to the 12## units are not at all convenient and I have 2 10x10 units packed full. I am not looking forward to having to move my stuff again. Again, I implore you to offer access through the doors already there in that area. The other downfall is there is no ceiling in the units, everything will be dust covered.

I had already paid over 400 $for a fifteen ft truck. After being guaranteed a truck I show up to pick up no truck. The guy gave me a ten foot truck and a trailer that I had to pay an extra 100 for. So I had to pay for the mistake U-Haul made. I normally go with budget and will be from now on even if I have to go hours out of my way to pick up what I need. I only needed the truck Sunday and dropped off Monday but the rental agreement said I rented it until Wednesday which was probably more money I didn't need to spend.

Thank you !! The storage units are very nice and i didnt have to stress about anyone breaking into my storage unit and taking my things so that was a relief . It is a very safe place to store your stuff and if i have to get a storage unit again i will definitely go back to u haul place!!! The people was very nice and helpful and walk you through how to get in for the first time and help after if you need it! I would recommend uhaul to anyone that asks about storage!!

Was supposed to have a large storage unit and the employee stated there was non and didn't know if he had anything I could use. Finally we agreed on a 10x10 unit, which worked just fine. Something that could be done better is communication between the call center and the location to ensure when a customer arrives at the location everything is in order moving is stressful enough.

The Elkins facility was above average, but u-haul as a whole was one of the worst experiences I'd ever had. I didn't get the size truck I ordered over a month ago. Then, when I realized I wasn't going to make it in time to pick up the truck before they closed, I got online to try to move it to first thing in the morning, and then it wanted to give me an even smaller truck and raise my cost 130 $. I then called Customer Service, and after I was on hold for 20 mins, the person I spoke w/ couldn't help me. I was given the phone # for transportation. That person eventually helped me but couldn't figure out how to do the pickup after hours transaction, so he was finally about to get it for first thing the next morning with the same deal as I had previously. Overall, if there was another moving truck company in the area, I would have gone somewhere else.

This location is always friendly and goes out of its way to help me. I rent equipment several times a month. I wish they could keep a car hauler for local use. If they don't have it. They find it for me.

We were charged return gas fill-up of 37,10 $ for 81,1 miles @ 3,50 $/gal. for 10,6/gal. That equates to 7,65mpg. for the U-Uhaul fill-up. We refilled & returned the rental w/ 6,09 $ worth of gas @ 1,84 $/gal. from Colonial Court receipt #554859 dated 11/3/20. According to the gas gage on the return/charge receipt, we didn"t receive any gas credits. Also we were charged for 2 days rental & returned the truck @ 3:43pm the first day, 48minutes passed the 3:04pm pick up time on 11/2/20 Contract #20216630. I dispute the gas overcharges and the 2nd day rental charge. Not happy with U-Haul service. Phil Cupp, Owner Cupps Furniture 11/5/20.

The previous customer didn't clean the truck, and this one I rented is pretty beat up and in bad shape, yet, the staff at this location is nothing short of AMAZING! --- They will make things right for the client each time! The Lady I dealt with today made sure I walked away with a smile and a happy client! Thank you! You made my day! Not the first time I go to this location, and won't be the last! In fact, I won't go anywhere else! People make ALL the difference! You have a customer that will return each and every time a truck is needed! Thumbs up! TEN STARS!

The website does not allow towing combinations for all wheel drive vehicles towed with a dolly. These vehicles ARE towable With a dolly if the rear driveshaft is removed. The website does allow 4wd vehicles with transfer cases to be towed with a dolly, but then throws out a warning that the driveshaft should be removed. This is NOT necessary. The website won't let you rent a dolly when driveshaft removal is required, but it will let you rent a dolly when it's not required, and it warns you to remove the driveshaft anyhow. The website was clearly written by lawyers and not by the knowledgeable employees of Uhaul.

I dropped my uhaul off a night early and got charged 29 dollars for putting the key in the box. I gave it back early I should be rewarded not shit on. I'm so mad u will never use uhaul again. I have used uhaul 4 times this year but will tell everyone what happened to me. I called to ask for a manager and the employee was so rude to me that I wanted to show up and fight him.... and that's saying something I felt so disrespected by the tone of his voice. And I'd say he has worst customer service skills I've ever seen in my whole life..

Original reservation was buckhannon WV. Revercation guarantee was not honored. Vehicle was unavailable. Sent to elkins for pick up. Again reservation guarantee not honored and then was charged mileage to and from buckhannon and informed had to return trick in Elkins. Taking both my time and again charging me.

Went the day before hand to see what equipment was available - needed a open trailer. The man who was assisting me knew the make and model of my car, said there'd be no problem hooking it up to my car - also only needed the open trailer for a few hours & was told that they can only give discounts on trucks/vans, but a flat rate for open trailers - Next morning came back, paid, went to attach my car to the trailer - no hitch, but I was under the impression that there was a place to attach underneath. -so I asked to trade for a truck. Said yes. Did all the paperwork and went outside to find it & it was a van. Went back inside to say I asked for a truck & was told a van is all they have. I came the day before to have everything set up since the next day I needed to be somewhere a specific time. I had to take what I could, but was very unhappy with customer service. I brought the van back & a women checked the van back in - not very good customer service/ disposition from her either & asked about a discount because it was only 4hrs - said no, they don't do discounts on it. -had to spend a bunch of extra money & deal with shitty attitudes.

I had a great experience with the haul. Loved that it could all be done online. One thing i wish was improved is for us 5'4" is a tilt steering wheel OR the seat be able to rise up. I could reach the pedals just fine but my vision was impaired slightly by the steering wheel. A tilt steering wheel would of been wonderful. But all in all a great experience. Thank you U Haul!!

I rented the uhaul on a Saturday at around 3pm. I had planned on returning it on Monday which would have been a two day charge. I returned it around 5 or 6 on Sunday. I was not informed when I rented it that I needed to do self service return online. I have rented uhauls for years and have never done this so I didn't read the receipt. I get the receipt today and it showed two days charge. I called and explained that to Portia who is the manager and she told me because it was brought back after they closed and I did not self return it was a two day charge. She refused to make any kind of concession and was rude and I got rude back! Casey the guy that rented it to me was more interested in his cellphone when I walked in to rent it on Saturday just seemed like he didnt' want to be there. Then while he was helping me, he stopped when another customer came in and I had to wait when he had been helping me first. I don't believe this uhaul store represents Uhaul and it is NOT the experience that I have EVER had with uhaul in the past. However, I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THIS ONE AND I WILL NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE. I was not informed that it had to be back before close on Sunday or Monday. I was told by Casey to park it in front of the store if I wanted to when I returned it. Had he explained it to me that it had to be back while open so a staff could check it in with my presence or that I had to go online, I would have however that was NOT expressed to me. In the past, as recent as 3 months ago, I returned a uhaul at 10pm the next day and was NOT charged a two day rental. I would like to get a refund for the extra day that was charged to me. And Casey need to be trained to explain all of this to customers which he did not! As I mentioned I would have complied.

When I brought the truck back I reported to the clerk that I was disgusted by the leftover trash, filthy windows covered in bug guts and the lack of interior cleaning during Covid. She told me she would give me a discount and would make sure management knew about my issue. No discount was given and I will not recommend this uhaul site to my friends.

The girl I originally talked with was very helpful. The guy who was working on Sunday wasn't very helpful. HE told my daughter that he could not find the reservation even with the emailed reservation number. After several attempts he was finally able to find it. Very frustrating to have to deal with that kind of incompetence.

I used 2 of these to get moved across country. They worked great, the 27 v10 truck I had was much better than the v8 my wife drove. Both pulled cars and got us into storage then home. Thanks uhaul.
