It took 45 minutes from the time I stood at the counter to check out because of “internet connectivity problems.” I paid in cash for boxes and they couldn't get the cash drawer open to give me my change. I had completed all the fast checkout beforehand and yet it took this long! There was a long line of people stretched out the door by the time I left. Unsatisfying Folks!!

The uhaul services are ones i hope to never use again. They added so much unnecessary stress to my move. I had to call several times in the days and weeks coming up to my move to be sure that everything would be accessible and ready and during each call i got off the phone feeling uncertain. My first call I tried to schedule access to my uhaul box and when i got on the phone with the women and she proceeded to try and process my request she hand difficulties finding my pod and scheduling access to it (this was a reoccurring issue for EVERY SINGLE TIME I tried to get access to it). After many issues she informed that she solved the problem by sending a message via messenger on Facebook which felt like the least professional way to get in touch with a local branch. I called again a few days later, but not without the automated service randomly disconnecting me from my hold after 5 or 10 minutes of waiting. Finally i got in touch with someone whom actually worked at Eureka Uhaul and he was very kind and helpful and informed me that my uhaul box had indeed gotten schedualed for me to get access to it. Fast forward to my arrival at Uhaul (friday at 2); i arrive and ask for access to my box. The two gentlemen just look at each other and one looks at the other and says "the system has been down all day for that, i didn't see any scheduled, I'm going on my lunch, good luch." The other guy turns to me and informs me that their are no boxes put so it will take some time. I was okay with that, i had some time to wait, though the hour process of him finally being able to find my box was not the short wait i was hoping for. That hour on top of the time it took me to unload the box chipped away at the scheduled arrival time i still had for driving another 5 hours after having just driven up from San Luis Obispo (an additional 9 hour drive). This was AGAIN not the first time that my box was not already pulled out for my arrival and not my only issue with Uhaul. The company's inability to properly schedule and communicate with their client's makes me sure that i will not use them for any moving or storage needs, and will be sure to tell my horror story to friends and family insisting they don't use it either.

I went into the store, purchased a lock, asked the clerk if it would fit my u-haul truck. He said yes. I went out to use it and it did not fit. I returned to get another that would fit but the clerk would not refund my money. I have spent over 2,000 dollars at u-haul in the last month. This kind of jerking around is completely unnecessary. There are other places to rent trucks without this nonsense.

The tires were not good n the the lt side lite flew off on the FWY While I was driving I called road side assistance It took 45 mins just to get through and when I finally did get through the lady asked me what can she help me with and I told her the lite from the car dolly just flew off n she said that's not good she put me on hold n she never got back to me I was on hold for another hour I bought n install the new lite myself I paid 200 dollar for the car dolly and I'm very unsatisfied

I was told the charge would be changed from a hold of 70 dollars to 43 dollars which was my actual charge. My account has still been charged 70.16 after asking for it to be fixed. Not happy at all.

The engine check light was on. The drivers side mirror was loose and kept falling down so you couldn't use it. We had to use a bungee cord attached to the front wheel well to keep it in place. The cargo area smelled of weed and the light bulb was missing from the cargo area. The truck also smelled of antifreeze, luckily it was running and a normal temp.

Friendly, on time, helpful. I use this store whenever I need their services; great people. It is disconcerting, however, to read in the online reservation that the equipment is "not available" and that someone will call the day before I needed it. Makes it hard to plan. Fortunately the local store called 3 days before my deadline, so it worked out.

I originally was to pick up on 5th. St. the truck was not ready and the uhaul process was terrible trying to pick up remotely was harder than it needed to be. I was told by the gal on the phone that i had to pick up remotely and there were no other choices. during the online process my reservation got cancelled and i finally decided to go to the one on jacobs ave. for help. They ended up just renting me a truck i was in and out quickly with no hassles. I dod not appreciate that i had to be over an hour late because of the hassles of online pick-up

When returning the vehicle at 7pm. There was a worker who showed me where to drop the keys off. I used the app to return the truck, but the location finder could not verify my location. I knocked on the door to get help, but the lady at the counter ignored me and would not help me. Ridiculous and rude!

need more help at the registers, 3 employees up there, one went to lunch when there were 5 people in line and the other two employees were on the phones helping others. Had to wait a really long time in line when I already had a reservation, and it was really hot and stuffy in the building. Needed fans or something. But hire more help, this location is always busy.

Employees not helpful when picking up truck. We had 1400 mile drive radio was stuck at blaring could not turn up or down. When staff was told their response was,”there is nothing we can do about it”. Truck was supposed to be ready at 10 not ready till 2 which set our leaving time off for a long drive. We got a trailer that didn't work for what we needed it for brought it back at opening next day was told refund needed to be done when we dropped off truck at end of our trip. At the end of our trip they had no idea told us they should have refunded us when we dropped off trailer. Took several weeks and many phone calls to home office and refund just came through after almost month home. We had few boxes also that they were supposed to credit back on card that has yet to happen. Make up your own conclusion.

Truck had horse manure splattered in the side, big rip in the side of the lower flaring of the driver side of the box, and the muffler was bent up with a rough cut hole for the exhaust to vent. A couple of the service reps were friendly and helpful, but one was very rude and didn't really act like he wanted to be there.

I tried to check in on my phone. I was directed to a vehicle at the side of the building. There was a hand truck in the back. I removed it and told the person working on a vehicle 30 feet away that I had not asked for the equipment. He told me the vehicle I was at had not been cleaned yet. He then continued working on the other vehicle. After a few minutes he went to the front of the building. I assumed he was going to come back. After 10 minutes I went into the store And the man was at the counter assisting with a rental. After 20 minutes he completed the rental and was about to start with the next customer. I told him I have been waiting for this truck to be cleaned so I could get on the road. He then came out and cleaned the interior. I was then able to complete my check in. I was paying the person with me to sit on his backside not working because the reserved vehicle was not ready to go. I stopped using this location a long time ago because it takes over an hour to check in through the counter. It is painfully slow. I experience this nowhere else. Since going to check in by phone, I expect to be on the road in ten minutes.

The truck that was rented to me needed brakes and a wheel alignment. When I spoke to "Sol" and informed him , he stated " I'll let them know" , " I know you probably want some of your money back , but you'll have to ask corporate at the 1-800 number. I don't know if my manager would help" . " Sol" didn't provide the number and he laughed as he was looking over my shoulder at the person that another employee identified as the manager to another customer who had a concern. Unfortunately I will have to use them again, as no other location is near by or a different vendor to rent.

I rented a pick-up truck. It was clean on the outside and inside the cab. When my husband opened up the center console, it was filthy. I know that is an area than can be forgotten when cleaning. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

An air freshener was clipped onto one of the vents in the cab that filled the whole van with a sickly sweet chemical smell. As a person with allergies, this gave me an instant headache. Fortunately, it was summer and I could open all the windows and hit the highway; but the scent lingered the whole day. Ironically, someone thought this was an amenity...also, it would be very useful to know the tank capacity for fuel to make it easier to buy the right amount of gas. Thanks for listening!

Appliance dolly was not in the truck and we had to wait until the store opened to go pick it up. We weren't acknowledged by the sales associate. After about 15 minutes, we had to look for another employee and then the other employee was able to get the dolly right away.

getting in and out of location was sometimes difficult. due to parking of trucks and other storage options. there were 2 times in just a couple months where I had to go to office to have them move stuff so I could get out with my truck and trailer. other than that I would very much rent again

My only reason for 4 star is that I was told twice from two different agents when I picked up the truck and returned it that the reservation I had for a storage unit was not available. When I objected they checked more carefully and saw it still needed to be cleaned but the cleaning was minimal and I insisted we would accept it as is. It was the very last unit and I desperately needed it. Thank you, Uhaul. I had a great experience in the long run.

My move from Colorado to California under rather stressful circumstances was rather difficult but when I came to check in my trailer so that I could get the truck unloaded, I was met by Shannon. She was so friendly and helpful . The facility did not have the 10x15 unit I reserved and at this time, there wasnt even a 10x10 , so a 20' truck packed to the brim couldnt be unloaded. Sol was helping me in the office and remembered someone had moved out without checking out. He contacted the people regarding the unit and success! He went above and beyond customer service. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and more than willing to help with my situation. I've used Uhaul before and will use it again. Thank you

There are no gates at this facility, just cameras. My one issue is that the area between the U-Haul store and the storage area is being used as storage for trailers and you have to veer around them.
