I tried to check-in online, but the system didn't work. I had to check-in inside the office. We reserved an appliance dolly, but they did not have one. We were told to call another location to see if we could get it somewhere else. When we left, they never gave us the furniture blankets so we needed to go back to get them.Mark H.

I wish to file a complaint against the assistant manager Kim at your u-haul at 5points in Wilton Manors. Its address is 2801 N. Dixie Hwy Wilton Manors FL 33334 I reserved a 10' truck for the 17th of September on line. According to the on line website it said for me to pay now and skip the line. So I went outside and asked Kim the assistant mgr if I could just skip the line and get the truck since I put all my info in the computer yesterday. She did not even look up from her cell phone and started to accuse me of wanting to skip past other customers. Did I think it was fair to skip in front of other customers she said. Would I like it if people skipped in front of me???? I said, I did not ask if I could skip in front of other customersâ€¦.she just kept on accusing me of skipping the line and not looking up and not talking to me in a civil voice but nasty. I am not talking about just being short with meâ€¦.she was nasty for a manager and dismissive. She should not be a manager and I dont even think she should be handling customers period. At least look at me when I am asking a question instead of looking at her iphone and talking over me when I am just asking a simple question of her. She is the manager and the manager should set an example and not send a customer away demoralized. I went back in the store and my partner said, what is the matter? I said, I was just scolded by the assistant manager and accused of wanting to cut in front of other customers and she was really nasty. He said, I know she was nasty to me when I ask her a question. I will not go back to that u-haul as long as she is the assistant manager and I will tell my friends to avoid it at all cost. I have never been treated that way before at any u-haul or department store for that matter. Do us all a favor and tell Ms. Kim to take a walk.Thomas C.

I had a horrible experience in this location and the front lady Angie newson was rude. The truck was not guaranty as the mentioned on the website and because I ask if they have a truck for 24 hours she changed my reservation to another truck and she wanted me to go to another location . I never got the truck I reserved and they charge me even more . I had to take a small truck and do more work because she said the manager have a policy that if you ask for more time they will know you will be keeping it more time. I was neglected because an assumption. I kept the truck for the time of the reservation but I had to put more miles and it cost me More only because of her, and she had a horrible attitude . I asked the manager to check the cÃ¡maras and to hear the conversation and I was never rude to her .ANA R.
Everything was fine till we returned the truck!! We were charged for forty miles we simply stated we went only 30. The clerk started yelling â€œI'm not going to deal with this!!â€ Claimed we had yelled at her. We simply told her we were not yelling. She started with the profanity and at that point I thought she might hit me!! We asked what her name was so we could talk to the Manager about what happened. No one would tell us her name. Explain the rates and charges, I paid a total of $99,6 for 2 days when I first picked up the van on Tuesday 8/30/2022. I needed the van for an extra day on Thursday 9/1/2022, I called hours ahead of time before returning the van, no one else had booked the van so I paid for an extra day of $42.42. I return the van on Friday at 11:00 AM and I'm charged $35.43, for what??? the van was full when I didn't even need to fill the tank. and I got charged $35,43 for what reason again? My experience at the 5 points location on Dixie highway in Wilton Manors was absolutely horrible!!!!! When I picked up the van I told the lady that I intended to pay cash for the daily in town rate. Upon returning the van, The lady behind the counter was clearly POORLY trained. Or, your computer systems are seriously in need of updating!!!. She tapped on her keyboard for approximately 10-12 minutes trying to adjust the transaction to a cash payment rather than debit card. The total was $29 and $30 sat in front of her as the cash drawer opened twice as she quickly closed it. During this time there were employees sitting on top of the stacked boxes put out for display and to sell. 4 young boy employees laughing and cutting up using language that would make a sailor cringe. Nigga term was used in every other sentence. God damn, shit, fuck, and ass flowing from their mouths as if it were acceptable. I am and was mortified!!! I finally asked the lady behind the counter, â€œHow do you or these young boys know that I am not a corporate executive?â€ She laughed and screamed â€œHey there's a customer in the store that's complaining about y'all language and is getting offendedâ€! The boys went outside without even as much as an apology or, at least, a my bad. How would you feel if it were you in this store, with your mother? Literally, I heard â€œMothah Fuckahâ€ 20 times. TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES!!! Also, 2 years ago I had a trailer hitch installed on my Kia Sportage. The guy that installed the hitch installed it around closing time and told me that if I gave him cash instead of paying inside that they would charge twice as much for the labor. Against my better judgment, I agreed to the theft of the installation merely because I was in a hurry to make the move. Ever since the installation, my rear axel squeaks every time I go over a speed bump or any other terrain in the street that is not level. I believe that your employees are robbing you blind and need to be addressed by Corporate. I demand a phone call from a Senior Executive to, at least, set up an appointment to have a professional installation associate to fix the problem with my rear axle and any damages that might have incurred due to the faulty installation of the trailer hitch. Since when is there a $20 service fee for U-Haul personnel to guide you while loading your car onto the auto transport. When I paid the supposed fee, the man put the money in his pocket and did not give it to the people inside the office. There was never a fee to assist me when loading my vehicle onto the auto transport. I have rented many times from U-Haul and this has never happened to me before. I know this is because he kept the money for himself. Funny thing is, I was going to tip the guy for his assistance.Biagio A.

U-Haul should have a frequent renters program so people who decide to use U-Haul instead of other truck rental companies are encouraged to do so by building up points based on rentals to get some sort of reward such as a discount, etc.RICHARD C.
Have used this location in the past and have always had good experiences. A few things I would like to see happen though is when the employer gave me all my equipment, I.E. Dolleys, etc. she brings them out and says here you go, and I had to load all of them myself and I have a bad back, they need to have someone load everything for their customers. After I drop the vehicle off on Sunday I entered the building and was asking where the dropbox was for the key and there was a lady in there that was super rude and it didn't tell me where the dropbox was and you didn't even give me her name after I asked her for it then I gave the keys to one of the employees that work there and then today they called me all day saying or asking me where did I leave the key this is unbelievable and very unprofessionalMichael B.

While my experience with Harry and his team at 5-points was excellent. Uhaul in general has a dismal track record with me. In this latest episode, I had reserved a truck weeks ago for my scheduled move . I flew in from Tampa to pick up the truck was told there are no trucks available only when was in Fort Lauderdale. I have used Uhaul for the last 15 years. But this time I got surprised! I rented a truck and storage!Talk to Sabrina on phone about all the details. I found my storage really dirty with lots black mulch debris and no AC climate room as I asked! So I didn't have choice, because there wasn't other storage available! Today wasn't the best trip for me to this store. Though we got the job done, the journey to rent was awful. To be short, a problem in the system resulted in about 18 taps, insertions, and swipes of two separate pay cards along with some failed manual input attempts. I was left emotional after 45 mins of that torture, a trip to the atm, and a friendly 10-min grace window to pay after normal store hours. I'm glad I didn't have to change locations. Also glad I didn't blow up. Jareth, please be a bit more sensitive to customers feelings and stop putting so much emphasis on the possibility of FRAUUUDULENT suspicions at my bank. The online system was good and easy. No big complaints there. Our unit has stair-only access, which wouldn't have deterred me, but I could see that being an issue for others. I don't remember that being stated in the description. We did have difficulty finding our unit. I did not see the link for the facility map that was in an email until after we went to the facility. We were driving around and couldn't find the right building, a directional sign, or map. We eventually went into the office, where the only associate was working with another customer. We waited for a few minutes, but eventually a small paper map on an empty associates desk, from which we were able to find our unit. I would recommend some signage to at least direct cars toward the right access doors for the different alphabetic regions. The "air conditioned" unit was very hot. After loading our unit we went back the the office and told the associate who said they knew and that it was going to be fixed soon. We went back today (two weeks later) and the AC unit was running, but it was still above 85° On the wall mounted thermometer. Not the end of the world, but worth noting, the door stop on the access door to our section is broken. One final note, our unit had a rat trap in the corner. On one hand, I appreciate pest control, but on the other, it was concerning.Cory K. | Online Move In
