I was charged for 3 gallons of fuel but only drove 9 miles also I added 1,9 gal before dropping the truck offâ€¦â€¦.. seem wrong so I wrote this email as soon as I saw the receipt. Afternoon, I rented a 15 foot U-Haul truck today Sunday the 26 of June. The drove about 9 miles which Is under the ten mile minimum which clear in the receipt I was given. I have a receipt that I put in the tank 1,9 gallons of gasoline and matched where The level was when I received the vehicle. My complaint is!!!!! When I got the final receipt they charged me for three additional gallons which came to $21. Clearly it doesn't take 5 gallons of fuel to go under 10 miles!!! I feel that the 3 gallon additional charge of gasoline is unjustified and I would like The $21 taken off my credit card. The Uhaul rep literally checked me in while playing a card game on his cellphone. In between moves, he entered my information. I was stunned as this location 801 S. Harlem usually offered top-flight service- not today. Further, the truck needed a front end alignment. Imagine driving a twenty-footer pulling to the right, and you having to compensate by turning the steering wheel to the left just to go straight on the eway. When I returned the Cargo Van, there were two staff members on the bench on their phones. Other than "Do you want a receipt?" they were otherwise not engaging with this customer. Normally the staff is more engaged and overall friendly and concerned about the rental. Just sayin'Richard D.

The partnership with MovingHelp has a lot to be desired. This location was GREAT! However, there has been little help from corporate Uhaul on the fact that our movers did not show up until 5,5 hours later. This affects the move greatly. Corporate Uhaul did not help at all with this situation. Be Warned!!Jerome S.
My reservation for a van was for 24 hrs but the manager Mike Lopez could only give me 20hrs, insisted on giving me a truck of the same price but the customer was Not comfortable to drive a 10ft truck, the manager was sarcastic by saying â€œit's the same sizeâ€, I felt discriminated for being a woman not wanting to drive a truck, the manager was rude, unaccomodating and wanted to push me out of the business establishment by trying to send me out somewhere else because â€œ they were busy in requests â€œ. Location was hard to get out of. Did not have all the supplies. I had to drive to a different uhaul for blankets and then had to put a deposit down. Location is impossible to get in and out. Trailer strap down old and broken. Had to use my own straps. 2 of 4 tires old on trailer. One tire lost its tread and should've have caused a blow or accident. Extremely disappointed in everything.Mike S.

I always use your location. Your staff is so friendly and helpful. I am extremely disappointed in the condition of the truck. It was absolutely filthy both inside and out. There was some sort of red dots on the inside of the windshield which ran down creating streaks. The steering wheel was sticky - filthy. My hands were dirty from touching it. There was crumbs and food stains everywhere in the cab. It smelled nasty - not even the air freshener hung from the rear-view mirror could mask the smell. Only made it worse. The back window was so dirty I could not see out of it. I wiped the outside thinking it was dirt but the dirt was on the inside. The vehicle does not look like it had been washed in months. I've never gotten a vehicle from this location in this condition. They are usually very clean.Ann S.

When I rented the utility dolly I quickly learned that it was too large to fit into my car. So I came back into the shop and requested a furniture dolly which would fit. The gentleman working that morning was gracious and allowed me to switch. However he did not switch it in the computer. When I returned the furniture dolly I assumed that it had been switched in the computer from utility dolly to furniture dolly but it had not. The person who received a dolly from me asked my last name and said he would email me the receipt. I never received the receipt. I checked the app and sure enough it said that the dolly was still in use three days later. In order to avoid being charged for three days when I returned it on time I had to make a second trip even after returning the dolly to make sure that the order was closed out and I was only billed for the one day. It was taken care of by another worker at the same location who is very gracious. So to improve my experience the customer care representative could switch things out in the computer appropriately and when equipment is returned take time and care with the customers to print out a receipt and close the order right there on the spot.Jacqueline M.

This is the second trailer that had lighting issues . I have rented two trailers from this location in the past month both had issues with lights . The first issue in March , the staff was to busy to help when I returned with an issue . I fixed the short and replaced the fuse on my truck and made the trip. I called to advise the location of the issue and the hold time was nuts . My recent rental had issues with the left brake turn signal . I informed the staff member , he could care less about my concern . I rented a trailer from your Broadview. Location , that trailer was clean and I didn't have any issue with lights .scott P.

With newer models, tell customers where to adjust the mirrors and where to set the speed. I couldn't figure out either and had to drive on the right lane all the way to keep from hitting anybody. I like to try to save gas by driving with the cruise control working.MELVIN R.

I had to throw away almost half of the things in my unit because they were completely ruined. And the price they were charging at this location was outrageous!!! The storage facility smells so incredibly bad. I'm not sure if it's the smell of mice excrement or the smell of the poison trying to kill the mice, but either way it made me want to throw up every single time I went in there. Plus, now our belongings smell that same terrible smell now that we've taken them out, despite multiple cleanings. Furthermore, we had NO food whatsover, yet mice still chewed threw our things.
