The first person to help me at the counter was great, Even told me I could park in the back due toacl of customer space in the back. upon returning, a young gentlemen with dirty blonde hair, was mad about where I parked. Told me I was not supposed to work there. Further more, after only using the uhaul for maybe 10 miles, I did refill. When returning the same young gentleman chuckled and stated “ dude you didn't fill this up and because of that you owe us 14 $” in shock, I stated no way because I barely used the vehicle for that far and I did put some gas back in it. It was barley and I mean barely below the mark that I picked it up at. I told the gentlemen I was going to go refill then. He told me I could not, and that I would only be saving 3 $.... very disgusted by his unprofessionalism. I have used you guys plenty of times in the past, I will have to find me a new service to utilize.

Was a bummed that I had to pay an additional day because of inclement weather. We're from Arizona, so driving a 20ft box truck down backroads while ice is falling from the sky so that we could get the rental back on time just didn't seem safe to us. Paid for a second day just to be able to wait until the roads were salted before taking the truck back.

Want it the point of getting a reservation? I got one several weeks to a month in advance. The day before I was to pick it up I get a text saying the trailer will not be available in Manassas VA. and to go to Stanford VA to get it, It's only 30 miles out of my way. I get to Stanford and they tell me they don't have a trailer either. Now I have to go to Fredericksburg. 60 plus miles round trip from Manassas VA. You have lost a future customer. I am buying a trailer as it would only cost the price of 3 trips. Then I can sell it for what I bought it for. I blame both the Manassas and Sanford locations. If I had got to Fredericksburg and they didn't have one I'm not sure I could remain cool. You would think they would offer a discount. I deserve several beers at least. I will soon post reviews on Yelp and Google and any other review site I can find. I hope you find this review helpful.

I've used uhaul for the past 10 years. First I had to pick up the truck from a facility that was 20-25 miles from where I was loading. I paid for a dolly that was not in the truck. Get to the location and no dolly. Do you know what inconvenient that was. Myself 5ft 3 inches trying to pick up appliances and heavy boxes. I have Fibromyalgia and it set me back for days with pain.

That is a hard one. Every U-Haul employee I spoke to was a SUPERSTAR. Polite, very eager to help, patient with my many questions, Nd they got me on my way I a flash. The paper towel dispenser in the bathroom needs new batteries. I know that sounds petty but everything else was great.

The self return process is tedious and unnecessary. A customer should be able to use photos saved on their phone to return the truck. It creates an unsafe process to have to get out and open the vehicle and take photos.

I have used this location several times in the past and I've never had any problems. The folks there are very nice people who know what they're doing. That sounds oversimplified but I've sometimes found that some businesses can't even meet that standard.

I would add an additional sign that states actions the driver should take when coming in to drop off. There are signs that state to drop off but it should state stay in vehicle for inspection, masks required, etc.

Staff offered to align opening for door lock when they saw us struggling with trying to get lock to work. Actually put a new mechanism on gave ahdn had a key wainting for us when we returned.. Overall nice. Plenty of cart to help move. Mattress carts are too narrow to move deep mattresses. Need trash cans around entrance. No trash cans was actually really annoying, I would travel to the storage from many miles away and often had drink or food containers to dispose of. Also packaging debris. Climate control could have a narrower range as well. The elevator is slow and if someone is loading it up and be delayed for some time. Need alterations to get down/up from lower levels, like usable stairs.

The original truck that left Otto, NC , had no steering fluid or Transmission fluid in it.. called U-haul and the mechanic said there was nothing wrong with the truck. Only to find that when we got to Fredericksburg , VA that the truck was on the decommission list... Made several payments over the phone with Fredericksburg, VA only to find out later that the payment was never made. And that there was a lien against it.. (so very stressed out about it )because I was living in NY at the time. this occurrence happened several times. And was always on the phone with Jeanne to fix this issue. (she was fabulous).. Picked up the truck from U-haul in Fredericksburg, Va with a half tank of gasoline to return it to Homer with a half tank of gas only to be charged again with a 7/8 of a tank to fill the tank. SMH.. Really disappointed.

I've used U-Haul down through the years in various locations as I was a military wife for many years. I've used other moving/storage companies too; however, as I said to my family member this time "I now know why I kept coming back to U-Haul." The cost of storage this time seemed to be extremely affordable. Perhaps it was COVID-19 related; but, nonetheless, cost was very reasonable for the same (if not better) service and facility. Plank Road facility in Fredericksburg, VA, YOU ROCK!!

This part of the UHaul experience was part of a move from DC to Fredericksburg. The rest of the experience was absolutely HORRIBLE. Our pickup location and time was moved 5 times in one day!!! Whoever does that scheduling should be fired!! I have used UHaul many times in the past as I am retired military. This was the worst experience ever!! The people in the Fredericksburg office were fantastic though and did set up the storage and walked me through the process very well. Don't know if I will ever use the UHaul truck renting again though.

I was over charged on my monthly storage bill for lock removal after I already paid separately for it . Then when I called back for my refund it took longer then normal to credit my card back , I called in to report it and the associate said she doesn't know what I'm talking about and didn't see a refund in process . I then moved on 6/13 I got a cargo van I went 1 exit from the uhaul storage facility and back I was then charged 187 $additional dollars ( I already paid 37 $at check out ) the invoice said I went over 100 miles and the gas was incorrect, I called in that same evening advised the customer service rep I think the guy checked in the wrong vehicle under my name i didn't even travel 20 miles and the gas is wrong she said ok I'll talk with management and reimburse you ! It is now Tuesday and I had to call to inquire , I asked for a manager the customer service agent said nobody is available and she'll call back . My card was charged 215 $dollars yesterday from uhaul ! I'm displeased This whole company and I've been a customer and maintained a storage with you'll along time and now especially during this Covid-19 crisis I don't need issues with money . I would like a member of upper management to contact me this is not good business

I couldn't get in my storage unit at the return unit after I got back to the store. The truck battery cable had to be tightened. Couldn't get the truck to start after loading. It is still loaded.
