Agents were friendly and helpful. They let me borrow an electrical adapter when i didn't have one in order to hook up to my truck for no fee, which was very nice. The item I rented was perfect for what i needed and I had 0 problems. I think the parking lot was small and made me a bit nervous backing up the trailer into the spot and there were a lot of other people there making it a bit more hectic, perhaps a bit more space would make it less crowded.

The location and staff are great. The app/online process for picking up the vehicle was absolutely horrific. They first off booked me and another person for the same van. They second charged me for a lot of items that I never asked for. You have to go through a chat system to get the van, and it took over 45 minutes for a chat person to come into the room. They also do not tell you that they will call the alternate contact! They gave me an option to put my business, which I did, but I wasn't there to answer the phone because I didn't know someone was calling. This system is so terrible, and they have been doing it for over 2 yrs. The guys on the lot said they can't override anything either. DO NOT DO THEIR AUTOMATED SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE PICKUP! I ended up being on the lot for over an hour and a half waiting for them to assign me to a new vehicle and then get approved. It was the worst experience I have ever had.

The location and equipment were both great. The only problem was that it was a different location than we initially requested, and the online software couldn't catch this even though, apparently, the trailers are owned by locations and the original rental location doesn't have any. All well and good if you don't charge the mileage difference, but when we're paying $0.69/mile for distance that we didn't want to drive with equipment that we have no choice but to use, this changes our budget and starts the rental off on a VERY sour note.

My online reservation was a disaster. I needed the truck for 2 full days and they only provided 1. I did not realize this until the next day. When I realized it, I called several times to try to get an extension. The lady I talked to made it feel like it was my fault. She asked if there was any way that I could finish my move that day as they already had the truck lined up for someone else. I told her that I was unable to and I really did need the 2 days as I requested. She made it feel like it was my fault. We did end up agreeing to an extension for 12:00pm the next day. However, I received a phone call at 7:30 am asking why I had not returned the truck. All in all a very unneeded and frustrating experience. Moving is stressful enough let alone having that experience. I think I will look at other options the next time I have to move.

Steven is, for a lack of a better word “EXCELLENT!” He and patient with customers never gets rattled, and I have rented from you 300 times maybe maybe more. This is David with MiID-MOD MALL, LLC. For the past several years Steven has been the manager over at that W. Cedar Dr. location in Lakewood. It welcome change from the previous manager. He is friendly, professional. However, somebody has to do something about that hair-piece :-)

Front desk was not covered, I waited 20 minutes and finally I had to go looking for the man. He was not very friendly, I asked for a discount because of my having to wait and all he said was NO! He didn't even try to find a way. Not really happy having to pay $74 for such poor service.

My reservation was poorly handled. Was told to call and confirm 2 days before and I did. Was told by representative all looked good. Moring of day before and everthing was screwed up. Advanced reservation don't matter since equipment is not reserved until the day before. Screwed up my advanced planning. Tied up $1,000 over a long holiday and still waiting. On a $790 refund. Was over charged and had to fight to get money refunded. Will never prepay for services again. A $50 credit for an inconcienience to cancel because everthing was messed up is a joke as rebooking would cost over $300. Very unsatisfied how this was all handled.

Generally the rental experience was just fine. However, at several U-Haul locations the employees were unprofessional and lacked an understanding of their computer systems. Seems like the training they receive is inadequate and or the caliber of employee sought for these positions is just too low.

Hello, I had a terrible experience with U-Haul this past Saturday during my move. First, I booked the truck online because I was busy at work. However, when I arrived at the store, they said I had booked the truck online and registered for online pick-up. I saw that they were not busy at all and asked them if they could just check me in because I had not started the process for online pick-up at all. They replied that it would be easy and they were "too busy" even though they were just looking at the internet and refused to get up and help me. This was very poor customer service. So, because they failed to help check me in in the store, I had to return to my car and waste an extra 45 minutes on the online chat to get verified before I could even leave the lot. This was very inconvenient and maddening since they could not check me in manually in-store because they were being lazy. I will never use this location again and I recommend having them trained on working with customers. Thank you.

Biggest issue we have isn’t with the locations, it’s with the overall experience. Moving is stressful enough to then have the things you request and need not be available when the time comes. One should bother putting in a request for something if the company is then going to call the day before to say “I’m sorry but we don’t have what you requested available .” That is unexceptionable! When you have to have something and you are counting on it, you screw everyone over. And then to act like you are helping by giving extra days and miles isn’t actually helping when a person ends up having to pay almost double do to gas mileage.

The original reservation was at a different location. This location had the truck. The servicemen were nice but definitely under staffed espically on a weekend. The truck itself was ok but the brakes squealed. The prices need to be more obvious. The $30 rental ended up being $133 plus the $30 pf gas I put in.

This location has some of the nicest and most helpful employees I’ve experienced at a U-Haul store. The mobile app worked really well for an easy pick up. An employee helped us check the cargo van back in. Everything was quick and seamless.

At rental check out, I was told a rate based on four hours, and if I have it for less time, I would pay less. When I brought the truck back, the office was locked, with a sign instructing me to go around back. I go to the very back to find the employee working on someone’s personal vehicle. The guy charged me for 4 hours. I asked why 4 hours when I only had it for 2 hours. He said it is all based on availability. My guess is not much changed in 2 hours. I would appreciate a refund for the 2 hours.

Trying to find a Car Transport trailer through UHaul was the worst experience I had. The location I had for pickup on 75th and York did not have the trailer I requested. I even called the afternoon the day before to make sure it was there and was reassured by Diana that they had one. Pickup time showed 8:30am. Got there and no one is there. Show on door they do not open till 9. Why have me show up at 8:30 when your not even open. Half hour of my time wasted. I was sent to Lakewood clear across town and 35 miles out of my way to get the trailer I needed and had reserved 5 days before hand because UHaul reservation system stinks to high heaven. The folks at Lakewood UHaul were very accommodating and was able to get their trailer to do what I needed. UHaul's screw-ups added at least 2 to 3 hours more to my day because they're online reservation system is a piece of crap. I will NOT be using UHaul on any future moves.

I had a contract and a moving strategy set out with people to help me but then plans went wrong no one showed up to help me I moved everything to bedroom one bath by myself and I was short financially to pay U-Haul be for $168 fee they worked with me on a payment arrangement when I made them 140 payment down in a promisary repayment plan note to pay the rest next month on the first to great location that works with single women that are very fixed budget or funds strapped for financial help. I’m returning as a customer in the future I’m still needing there services. Thx you very much for working with me.

I needed a trailer to move a full size street motorcycle from one home to another without an extra driver. So I called them to make sure they had one first, then went to U-Haul and was in and out in less then 15min. Drove home picked up the bike, then dropped it off. back to U-Haul to return the trailer, and BAM done in less then an hour!! BAM again because thats how good this U-Haul location is.

Gave uhaul my credit card when I reserved it. Asked them if it would be ok if a friend picked it up. They said that would be fine. They made him give his credit card when he picked it up and charged him for the rental. Sloppy.

When I made a cargo van reservation online, what was clear to me was that I could either accept or decline damage insurance. At the store during pick-up, however, I was told that if I rent a van, the insurance option is mandatory but that it's not mandatory on the larger trucks. This didn't match what was on UHaul's website. So I called UHaul and they agreed that they had no policy in-place that would require me to buy the insurance option. The UHaul representative on the phone told me that if I am charged for insurance that I should later dispute the extra charge with UHaul. On the surface, it appeared this particular store was implementing new rules that were outside UHaul's policies. So I recommend new customers not be afraid to ask questions if something doesn't make sense at the store compared with what's on the website. I must say, however, that it was a pleasure dealing with the part-time gentleman behind the counter (Isaac Sanchez I think was his name). He was polite and courteous from beginning to end. Great guy. I would be happy to work with Isaac again.

I took the trailer back about an hour before closing because I didn't have a place to park it till the next day. It seems there was only one staff person there and he was very friendly and even though they were tight on room, he moved things around so I could drop off the trailer. Great experience!
