When we got the uhaul, we couldn't find the truck because a guy who called himself the "maintenance guy" pointed in one general direction and the truck ended up being located in the opposite direction. I think it's possible they were short staffed which is understandable, but it felt like we were a nuisance rather than customers.Noah N.

Pre-ordered appliance dolly. Got utility dolly. Charged for both at checkout. Female employee said I would only get $3 without understanding issue. Even kind enough to do the math for me, "10-7=3". Became aggressive and belligerent. Then talked with mgr who also had a combative attitude. Apparently, they realized mistake and tried to put blame on me for not explaining properly. There was some confusion about exactly which truck we were picking up and where we were supposed to return it. It took a while to redo the damage etc. for the right truck, and I had to call U-Haul to straighten out where we were supposed to return the truck. We ended up having to pay $42,5 for a fuel charge, when we returned the truck with more fuel than it started with. I don't know if this is the fault of the person who rented us the truck or a general U-Haul issue.Peter T.

Well my rental still had debris (albeit very minor) in the back. More concerning would likely be the bloody finger prints and other bloodstains along the back door of the van. I thought if the previous renter didn't properly clean the vehicle the employees did before another person could rent said vehicle? Also several other dings that weren't previously marked with the x's, that when I attempted to take photos when given the dispute option were difficult to capture all the varying spots. Which concerned me so I informed one of the employees and asked if there were any additional measures to take with the previous mentioned issue of capturing photos. I was met with a lot of uhhh and umms and then was "told" to do whatever made me comfortable when I asked if taking a video separately from the website before leaving the property would be a good measure if I were to be potentially charged for damages. Now while I'm not expecting 4 star treatment a little more professionalism and input would of been appreciated when asking an employee about means to document unmarked damages (especially after mentioning the blood part) and other company policies. Besides that as long as I'm not slammed with charges it will of been an okay experience.JESSE R.

I just wanted to give a heartfelt thanks to our customer service rep on-site. When we returned it was a torrential downpour with a lot of people returning their vehicles all at the same time. She moved expeditiously and with tremendous customer focus while working solo. I'd like to ensure she gets some sort of recognition for this, so often these days employees don't care or try, UHaul is fortunate to have this caliber of an employeeStephanie C.
he didnt show us how to adjust the mirrors, didn't have the blankets in the truck like we ordered, we had to go back inside after almost leaving the site to pick up then, they weren't really clear on how many bundles to get so then we were shorted and had to ask for a refund at time of drop off.a little bit of a hassle, which could of been prevented if all the blankets were in the truck ahead of time. also the windshield wipers should have been checked they were crapey and thank goodness we only had to use for a short time.susan M.

They changed my location to Cincinati without my consent. They made me spend 1 hour and a half on gas because they didn't put a tow truck to tow my vehicle when the truck took me and I had to travel to them twice. they offered me a trailer they didn't have and then they wanted to give me the old trailer and the lights didn't work. and they gave me all locations away. They made me spend gas on that other truck. They gave me a hard time. I wouldn't remember.michelle V.

The 4x8 trailer we used was very old and in bad condition. While traveling the back door opened up without us knowing losing two Rubbermaid containers with contents. The electrical plug was very loose and came undone while traveling so we didn't have lights which caused a few issues. I don't believe this was the locations issue to deal with but A corporate issue.Brian O.

When I arrived in the morning, there was no one in the store for more than 10 minutes. A postal worker informed me that he saw a worker outside near the trucks. I walked out and saw no one, so I returned to the service desk, and still no one had arrived. I went out for a second time and found someone out placing signs in the truck. He finally came in to assist me. When my friend and I went to get in the van, there appeared to be dog hairs all over both seats!! I had wasted so much time trying to get serviced that I didn't have time to go back in to complain or request a clean van. Please have adequate staff to service customers, and inspect vehicles before renting to customers!ALICIA A.

There is no light in our unit, which made it very difficult to see. I had to use my phone's flashlight feature and direct it to the spots where items were being placed. Well the general manager was very rude and so was the female sales associate. The manager called me after I called customer service to extend my truck rental and they were supposed to extend til the next Monday night and didn't. So the manager calls me and gets rude with me and cussed me and then he hung up on me. The customer service line was no help as I was on the line for 2 hours and talked to 3 different people. I finally asked for whoever was in charge and I was told to call the president of that location and did so. The President was very nice and helpful. I just wish everyone there was as nice as he was. I won't be renting from that location ever again. I do not recommend that location. I also heard from someone later that they had the same problem with the same manager. Personally I don't think a 19 year old has any business being a store manager especially with his temper. He should be demoted or fired after treating multiple people this way. The disrespect was too much. I'm a customer and don't deserve that kind of treatment after I spent every penny I had on the truck and the storage unit. They sent me contracts over the phone, changing my 10000 insurance to none sometime in my 2 and a half years. They changed my door and lock without notification in October. Called me in May to tell me that I was broken in. My professional craftsman tools you can no longer purchase were stolen and I had no insurance. They did not try to resolve the issue. If I could leave zero stars, I would. The manager knows my concerns and doesn't seem to care. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had anywhere; my unit was not available as promised and so I had to get a larger more expensive unit to get truck unloaded. Staff was beyond rude, belligerent, and unaccommodating. My plan to prepay a year in advance has turned into looking for another facility who wants my business because I will not give another dime to this location. Also the property thinks it is okay to change the locks on your unit without notifying you. All the staff was friendly and nice but the guy who checked me in was extremely slow at his job and the experience was bad because all the extra info he asked me could have been done online when I booked the reservation and storage unit. I was in a hurry and between this guy doing everything super slow (even typed slow with one finger at a time) and having to provide more information put me behind schedule. Very unprofessional. The ramp to second floor is very steep which can be a bit of a challenge with transporting heavier items with or without a cart. Same with the uneven gap between loading ramp and where back of truck pulls up. Staff was nice and professional. Units and building were clean.
