The trailer nose part that goes into my ball there was a problem with that so getting it on at the U-Haul location also getting it off where I had reached my destinations to leave it there for a day or two and then putting it back on my car to take to U-Haul was extremely difficult there was something wrong with the equipment I was not satisfied at allJoseph V.

The communication regarding our uboxes from the pick up location was horrific. They placed the uboxes at a different pickup location in Ewing despite the previously listed Monroe. There was no coordination between the moving help system and the facility- I had put in MANY hours contacting and staying on hold with the facility and then the movers to coordinate the move. As a customer, I felt more like an employee working as the liason between the movers and uhual. Despite all these efforts, uhaul called the morning of the move (at 7:00am for a 9:00am move) to say they did not have the right truck to give the movers for them to pick up at the facility and we would need to pay Uhual to have them dropped off directly. This is despite booking this appt 3 weeks prior- it seems odd they could not have planned accordingly in that time. I was given a new timeline of around 12pm for drop off. I told my movers only for them to come at that time but the ubox drop off did not take place until 4:00pm. This cost me and the movers time and money. Moreover, the poor movers had to sit in their car the whole time due to COVID. When I would call for updates on the timing at the facility (after waiting on hold intermittently) I was told by the supervisor that the truck was out and she couldnt say when exactly it would get to me and I needed to calm down because there was nothing she could do. Not to mention I took off an half day of work in the morning for the move, only to have the actual move happen in the late afternoon/early evening. Moving is always stressful, and things dont often go right, but this was more than that. Uhaul made my moving experience atrocious. That being said the movers themselves who are not affiliated with Uhaul were wonderful human beings and did a great job. Id be surprised if they took job from uhaul in the future given what took place.LANE R.

No one ever picks up the phone--so after long hold (20 minutes or longer) I was connected to their central service line, which happened more than twice. Even the central phone staff couldn't help, although they could get hold of the local staff promptly (who for some reason refuse to attend to customer calls) here who required an in-person visit to extend any help!!Rajesh A. Waited a long time to actually be dispatched my equipment due to computer issues. The young girl said I was dispatched the equipment 13 minutes after my scheduled pick up time but that is not true, it was closer to a half hour. I reserved two dollies since I had two people moving me out of the top floor of my building. Two dollies could have been loaded up with boxes simultaneously with each of us bringing a dollie down to the truck but when I got there I was told that they gave one dollie to someone before me and only had one available. To make matters worse, the dollie they gave me had almost no nuts holding the casters down and one of the casters bent the first time I tried loading it up with boxes. I had to wait until the next morning to go to a hardware store and buy the right nuts to secure all of the casters, each caster was missing 3 nuts. If I had two dollies I could have cut the time I spent moving boxes in half since I had two people. In reality, instead of having two people move 4 boxes each on each dollie I had one dollie with 4 boxes and one person carrying a box if it wasn't too heavy. There was a very young girl, maybe 18 years old running the place, it was unorganized, they were talking about politics when I was waiting for them to sort out the computer issues and when I was late returning the truck because of the delay due to broken equipment the young girl (holly I think) was pretty rude on the phone. Never again will I use Uhaul.Randall S.
Was told....If I couldn't have the truck back b4 5:00 (closing) then I should bring it back the next day at 7am because they are concerned about theft and having keys in a drop box. This is not the customers problem and makes it very inconvenient for the customer, I had to rush my moving day in order to get the vehicle back b4 closing. One of the best the best things about U-Haul is the convenience of after hours pickup & drop off and use of the app. If this location cannot support this then I would be looking for another location.Milton R.

4pm friday we receive a phone call from uhaul in Forked River, NJ to tell us they will not have our truck for sat morning. They did not offer a solution. We spend one hour calling around looking for a truck. We end up finding a 26' truck in Monroe and book it for twice the cost of the original booking. We walk into Monroe to find the uhaul rep on the one with corporate and then tells us she was calling because she doesn't have our truck we booked. How much stress can a person around moving take? I was supposed to pick up my truck at 7pm Thursday night so I could have it packed and ready to go for Friday morning. My truck was not set up, despite the location having ample time to do so, and was not notified that it wouldn't be available for me Thursday night. As a result, I had a sleepless night worrying if I'd have time to get everything done and had to be up early to pick up the truck at 7am instead. The person on site at pickup seemed like she knew it hadn't been set up properly as she said it was a new person doing the set up, but didn't bother to notify me that this may have been the case. First. Using the online tools was excellent. Second the office staff at the site location closes the before the time advertised online. In addition your employee Rosanna Gambino is very nasty, unprofessional, and racist against foreign customers and black women in particular. I witnessed her be nasty for no reason at all to an African woman wit strong accent conerning her bank card not working in your computer system, and another woman of color who was french with her husband that she raised her voice at them and spoke to them both very nasty. For myself, who is also a woman of color from the islands, she began her conversation with me stating that she did not know how I booked the storage unit and that you had none left. I advised her that she was not correct. She acted as if she was doing me a favor with "giving me a month free" when that was a special uhaul was already running then preceeded to charge my card for another month even though the advertisement stated no money was due at the time and all I needed was to move into the unit. Mind you I advised her I already had paid and that a card was on file. She acted like she was the police. She started asking me all types of questions like the name and phone number of someone else(did not say why) I told her my husband who was standing right there. She ignored this and never added him to the account. In addition she took my DMV license and wrote down my license number(which I did not like) and it felt invasive. At one point I had to tell her twice to watch her tone and how she spoke to me and she became very nasty stating that I was the one picking a fight with her and raised her voice at me for no reason. She definitely did not want to wait on us all who were people of color and she definitely was looking to pick a fight at how nasty she handled me, the old lady, and the other couple. She also purposely gave us a unit that was very inconvenient and far to move our stuff into knowing we had three car loads and it was a moving day. Location opened 15 minutes late. Understaffed, one person had to handle multiple customers, answer phones and retrieve and clean rentals. I scheduled a hands free pickup and truck was not ready because it arrived late the night before. Wound up being there for over an hour. Was told truck was scheduled for service the next day and I was to not worry about the noise the steering wheel made when I turned or the check engine light on the dashboard. The app was terrible. I was able to make an initial reservation easily. Modifying it failed. Checking in failed. Trying to chat while checking in failed. Using the app to return the van failed and was an awful experience. Besides the initial reservation the only part of the process that went well was my interactions with the people at my rental location. They were clear and efficient. A bit of history: We reserved a truck for 700, but were running behind. We said that we would be there at 845, and would we then get it until 845, the next day? We were told that you needed it back by 745, and we were there by 740. The lady who was at the office door, (when we returned the truck the following morning,) saw us pull up, saw me coming to the door, opened the door WITHOUT WEARING A MASK!!!!, and said, 'can I help you?' Her name is "Ro." No, 'hello.' No, 'good morning.' No, 'welcome to UHaul.' Just, 'can I help you?' "Ro" had the professionalism of a dive bar waitress. Whereas "Paula" comported herself with professionalism, and courtesy, "Ro" was the antithesis, and hardly what UHaul has come to, or at least should represent. She was arrogant, contrary, argumentative. If our using your company again was based on how "Ro" conducted herself, we would not do so. "Paula" is much more of what one would expect from a company with a long, and established history, and reputation as UHaul. Equipment wise, the truck was a disaster - the "brake light" kept coming on, the dashboard speedometer was not able to be red. We felt that with these things in mind, it should not be allowed on the road. We mentioned all of this to "Ro," and all she would repeat was, "I can't do anything about it, tell it to the manager." Tried to reserve a truck and storage unit on line but the system said i had a confirmation # but would not proceed from steps 2 to 3. Thought i had the reservstion but wasnt sure. When i got there it turns out i didnt have the truck reservation since they were sold out. Would have been in a real jam if i couldnt have gotten the truck that big but luckily a van worked. You need to clean up that problem so customers get real current info if equip is avail so they can go shop else where.michael R.

I believe they need to replace or fix drainage on the roofs of the buildings and add new rubber on the bottom of the storage doors, my stuff was always wet when it rained, it would get in almost 2 to 3 feet and soak anything that was in front, I had to use plastic to try to keep water from soaking in, other that that the place and people were amazingstephen q. | Expérience générale
- there were rats in the facility. My boxes upon removal showed evidence to the presence of rodents. Some Outer boxes were torn in places with scratches and there was droppings in the unit and on my boxes. - when I original rented the space i was not informed that the door was unlike other units and much smaller and not a traditional roll down door and was not shown the unit prior to renting. So I had to deal with it and it was very difficult. I had dealt with a older man who was the manager when renting who said he was unable to do anything to remedy the situation . At the time I was renting I had asked questions about the different size of units and I told him I had a full sized couch and he assured me it would fit into the unit. It fit into the unit however it was EXTREMELY difficult to get into the small door of the unit. - at some point I received a phone call from someone at this location after I had spoken with the corporate offices who was very rude and yelled at me.
