Everything went very well with my rental and move. The U-HAUL queen size plastic mattress bags were very useful, especially since we moved after the snow and needed to rest the mattress and box spring down on wet surfaces a few times. My only comment for improvement overall for U-HUAL is to make it clearer on the website that One Way rentals are basically not available for the Long Island/NYC area. My original intent was for a One Way rental and then I had to switch to a Local Round Trip instead.

I have not received a copy of my final invoice and require a copy please send me my receipt. THe truck we rented was a piece of junk and would not recommend this place to anyone.

I have no words for this company. We changed the pickup/drop off location and the person on the phone changed our initial 24 hr reservation to 4 hrs without our knowledge. When we went to pickup the truck the employee told me I had 4 hrs and would be charged for the next persons reservation if I was a minute late. I advised him I was moving from Queens to Long Island and that was not possible To be back in 4 hrs. He said “that is not my problem. We have no other trucks available and To call U-Haul customer service to find another place”. He then said “oh I just looked and there's no other trucks available anywhere near us so your out of luck” with a smirk on his face. I then said I will try my best to be back in 4 hours (knowing that would not happen) and paid for the truck. When I made the reservation online it was $197. Then he rings me up and it's almost $300? After an hour on the phone on the drive to our former apartment we finally found a nice rep that said they could change our reservation back to 24 hrs so we would not be charged the next persons reservation. The employee that works at the Holbrook Lincoln avenue location is the rudest/ most unhelpful person I have ever met. We were freaking out for an hour on the drive in to our former apartment because we thought we would be charged over $600 for two reservations when we could of hired an actual moving company for $900. When we returned the truck at 5 pm that day the same employee made a sly comment and said “oh I guess you didn't need it for 24 hrs” We didn't need it for 24 hrs but that was the reservation I made. Moving in 4 hrs is not possible. My girlfriend and I will be leaving plenty of negative yelp reviews and telling our horror story of dealing with this company.

The rep that helped me was very pleasant and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend the Holbrook location.

I can't count the number of times I've use this location to rent that U-Haul truck. It is clean well-maintained and trucks are usually available in a timely fashion. Service is great

I made reservation closer to home on line. I received an email confirming reservation. I received a text that vehicle would be available at another location and someone would call. The day before pickup...I had still not received a call. I called....was told the mixup was because the first location did not have requested vehicle and indeed I had to go to location further away. On checking in online....no where is it ever stated that uhaul needs to confirm with another party other than my wife in case vehicle returned late. My 3rd party friends were unavailable and resulted me waiting in the cold till resolved.... Never had this issue with Penske or other rentals...very frustrating

When dropping off equipment I had to wait around for 20 minutes

Chris-who was on duty at rental-was courteous, engaged and polite. He accepted a compliment kindly when I commented how immaculate the store was. At return, Dave was the same—courteous, engaged, and polite. The truck and dolly were spotless. The truck was available on time as promised. The charge was exactly what I expected.

regarding the deceptive advertising @ $19.95 .... LOL what a joke. I paid $104 for a small van. and there was no windshield wiper fluid. so when I was on the expressway in snow sludge on the windows, I could not see and almost had an accident. I want a refund!!!!

Clear of the snow and pull the truck out of the snow before customers come to pick up the equipment. Back door was frozen shut. Make sure the equipment is operational before you rent it out.

Great service

We had no issues with the pickup and return. We were however not thrilled that the staff we interacted with at this Uhaul were not wearing masks.

Was well received and all questions were answered fully. Staff was very professional for initial setup and helpful when I returned the truck. Will gladly use again. Nice clean operation 👍

Excellent location, well maintained trucks and Chris was quick and helpful. Almost makes you want to move again...

One improvement would be to clean the windshield inside & out with glass cleaner.

Your customer service rep was nasty and not friendly at all claimed he called me as I was running behind Was making me feel extremely uncomfortable and tried to embarrass me in front of other customers This is not the first experience I have had with this sales associate and every time he has the same shitty attitude. I am not one to complain but couldn't let this go I have rented 3 trucks in the last 10 months and a rental unit from this individual and every time it has been the same experience If I didn't need the truck I would have left. Don't think I will be back Not very good for buisiness

I have rented from this location in the past, and had non issues. Brand new, spotless clean 9'cargo van, everything was perfect. This rental, as I noted in cleaning ‘inspection' the drivers seat had a fresh stain of what appears to be chocolate, & the passenger seat was covered with hair & crumbs. I cleaned it when I got the can home, but on my trip to Boston, it became obvious that it was cat hair, as I have a known cat dander allergy, & had an allergic reaction. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the cab of the van.

I scheduled to pick up trailer from Smithtown, Rt 347. When I arrived I was told the reservation was at Lincoln Ave in Islip. The representative in Smithtown told I was wrong and that I had to go to Islip, he pretty rude. When I arrived at Islip, which was very far away, the representative was also rude when I asked about the reservation and how it happened that I reserved for another location and had to go all the way to Islip ? I will NEVER rent from U-Haul again.

I was happy when I came back on Saturday night and found the Facility was still opened

very quick with process...pick up and drop off was a matter of a minute or two. Staff was very knowledgeable about process I strongly recommend using this place. Much better than than the resellers i have dealt with

Very helpful with hooking up and disconnecting the trailer. The gentleman didn't even laugh too hard at me backing the trailer up when I dropped it off lol

Very satisfied with equipment. Pricing is very affordable considering the alternative buying, maintaining and fees associated with a purchase of a limited use trailer.

Only thing I did not like was the person who checked me in made my stand in the rain while he checked the air in all the tires, and filled them to where they should be. I understand the reason so next time the trailer goes out its ready but why should I have to stand in the rain and wait.

Everything was great. As I was used to rentacar companies the milage thing .was different from unlimited .but nice van .I liked it

The equipment you guys rented out to me was broken and absolutely horrible. The bolts used to mount the ramps back onto the trailer snapped when i tried to first take them off and the other 2 fell off on the I-95 (without load) and lost the ramp and someone could have seriously gotten hurt. To add to it you guys rented me a trailer without a working license plate light. Horrible experience.

Interior and windows probably could use a better cleaning
