We were pushed to pay for insurance were told they get leeks you should insure it. I was right with time or else I would of gone else where for storage we were also told since you rented 4 days you get the biggest room instead we got the smallest because the big room was on second floor no elevators I would die to move my heavy items on the stairs. Last time using u haul storage or unless I get some kind of credit for the trouble we were givin also was told drop off the truck there it's ok then when done we were told no you can not we had to drive another 20 mnt to another location for drop off. I wasn't please with the service upon returning back the equipment on July 1, 2021. they wanted to charged me an extra 100,00 $ when I was paying off my credit card and cash. I was never given the original contract at the Inktser, MI U-haul Location when I first got the rental truck. the gas was below a half a tank. the fight overwight guy with the sunglasses how can you any miles with sunglasses on then he told the a lie that I didn't put gas in the truck I showed the reciept to the U-haul represntative that I just put gs in the Truck I out the gas a little over a half of a tank. then the guy lied and said I went over 160 miles wasn't. then I owe balance of 102,00 $ I will not being paying. I will be filing a complaint with the State of Michigan Attorney Grievance commission and the State of Arizona Attorney Grievance Commision. for being liars and crooks ripping off the consumers.CECELIA ANTOINET K.
I am beyond livid and do not know where to begin!!!!!!!! I just received a bill for 706,83 $ for a van that DID NOT RUN for over 48 hours and that I had to pay to have jumped once! It was finally picked up yesterday by Uhaul. Since it was DEAD and UNDRIVABLE I was not able to fill it will gas.....so of course, the tank wasn't filled, but y'all charged me for that? And I was charged for additional days for a van that DID NOT RUN?Â What the hell is wrong with you people? This has been the WORST experience I have ever had with a company ever.....and to add fuel to the fire, you are charging me 706,83 $?????? I STILL have NOT received a call back from the Manager of the Telegraph store as I was told I would. And instead of getting a refund for the time the van was undrivable and y'all couldn't get your crap together to get it fixed so I could use it.....no, instead of the refund I was told I was going to receive, y'all are charging me 706,83 $????!!!???? And 750 miles? Are you insane!?!?!?!?!?! I drove from Taylor, Michigan to Farmington, MI twice.....TWICE! How in the name of all that is holy did y'all get 750 miles out of that!?!?!? Location is in a rough section of town. The customer service rep was rude, The individual who hooked up the trailer was amazing. the equipment was very clean but there is an issue with the suspension of the trailer and when on cement road services was difficult to pull. The westland location needs training in consumer service. The management is in great need of training. I work for client relations for one of the biggest mortgage lenders and I would have been terminated if I acted the way she did and she is Management!!! They claim it is worry free to rent your U-Haul vehicle online. I would highly advise against this. While it was fairly easy to do so, they skip past all the fine print where they charge you unnecessary fees and don't explain the limits of the insurance if you purchase it. I was involved in an accident on the highway with a U-Haul truck I rented from here. Upon arrival, the man that 'checked' the truck started to harass me, and kept telling me I was going to have to pay to get it fixed even after I explained to him that I had purchased the insurance and that the accident wasn't my fault. He then sent me inside to speak with a manager who he proceeded to tell that I was SPEEDING on the highway and that it was my fault! I NEVER mentioned ANYTHING to him about speeding but the manager wouldn't listen and also proceeded to blame the accident on me. My advice: DO NOT RENT a U-Haul from this location (or any location for that matter)! They were completely unsympathetic that I was involved in an accident and refused to listen to me and made assumptions about what happened, even though I told them I had a police report to prove what happened. They also tried to void the insurance to make me pay for all the damages! The insurance is a scam and doesn't actually cover anything. Save yourself money and peace of mind, rent a vehicle from a different company.Kenneth G.

The vehicle condition was ok, however, the smoke odor inside was unbearable. Instead of texting about the existing vehicle condition, a representative can inspect with the customer before vehicle handover. Overall, the process was fairly smooth and the charges were reasonable.KARTHIKEYAN R.
Entering the store is very confusing, need more directional signs, ie. parking for initial visit, where to park for pick up & returns. Too few existing signs & the are not correct or followed. Grace periods should be allowed when renting trucks from Uhaul. Sometimes, unexpected events happen that doesn't allow for trucks to be returned in the window of time given when the truck is rented. My first reservation indicated "the day" but when that reservation needed to be modified and changed to another date the reservation was specifically entered as hours. Due to unexpected events, construction for one, I wasn't able to return the truck before the store closed but I don't think it's fair that the costs more than doubled due to the time the truck was returned. I feel, as long as the truck is returned within 12 hours of the rental, costs should not double. I believe there should be additional costs just not as much as what's being charged, especially with extra precautions taken due to Covid-19. Merci.DEIDRA LYNN D.

I feel the storage units should have a light inside so you can see and I discovered that previously my unit had a rodent problem because it was a device in there for that and I didn't like that. Chameika, one of the clerks, was not very helpful in helping me to understand why I was quoted for the wrong size storage unit. She kept saying that it wasn't her responsibility if the U-Haul call center staff made an error. I felt this was unacceptable because I had my movers waiting in the parking lot for her to reassign me a space, and when she did, she initially wanted to charge me for a higher-than-quoted-for rate. Very disappointing experience, especially since my experience renting a storage unit from this place in the past was impeccable.
