The workers are unprofessional. At first, the lady that checked us in was nice but she didn't do a run through on the cargo van we got & didn't show us how to open the gate to get out. So when we were leaving, she was standing on the side talking to her friend or co worker & we asked her how do we pass this gate? & she was yelling, "you have to press the #2 on the remote." We were surprised because she did not tell us that checking us in. Then we rented the van on a Saturday that the city and state had the christmas parade, (we didn't know it was happening that day) so a lot of roads were closed and blocked off, we were on our way to return the van back by 7 but it took us longer than expected due to road closures. I thought we weren't going to make it by 7 so i called the uhaul place to let them know at 6:50pm. I let them know our situation, saying "I'm not sure i will make it by 7pm but i will try my best, we're almost there. very close by." The lady just said, "We'll if you get here after 7 the gate will be closed, so you're going to have to return it in the morning." I said, were close by, we'll make it there by 7pm. We were determined to get it there by 7 which we did. We got there at exactly 7pm. & the gate was closed. My bf ran to the store door and waved at the lady standing inside. She tried to tell him No, to leave. But he was pointing towards the gate telling her to open. We got there on time. They closed the gate before 7pm. She did end up opening for us but it was just a very uncomfortable and unprofessional experience. We will not be renting from this location again & will tell all our friends and family not to.Lynn L.

Poor experience from the beginning. started off with no one in the office, locked door even if hours of operation was not closed being 1st time using this location, did not have any guidance on how to enter or where to go. Was given very bad vibe from the one lady in the facility that I was bothering her doing her job. Looks like the van I rented had been broken into or had a ashed window replaced. Pieces of smashed glass all over the cabin. Pointed to the person that checked the car back and said it was my fault for almost being slashed open by the broken glass. FIX YOUR CHECK-IN APP. I tried for over 20 minutes to check out via the app, it kept freezing or taking forever to get to the next page. It was stuck at page 1/5. And yes I found and used the U-Haul guest wifi (which there need to be signs for), still didn't work. Luckily the staff at this location (who are great and friendly) were still closing up and just told me to drop the keys and go. You really need to fix this issue, everything else about my experience was great, but this put a damper on it.William C.

Overall, pickup and dropoff as simple and vehicle was ok, however, apparently tire pressure was low, which should be taken care of before renting. Please be careful with mileage discrepancies as it should not be the customer's responsibility to take pics of the actual mileage and then send them to another party to prove the discrepancy, as well as trying to add charges that were not requested. It is definitely NOT the way to retain customers. The pickup and return processes were not clearly communicated. The electronic instructions were great, but they were missing key details about how to get in to the location which is rarely if ever occupied by employees. Our pickup and return were both after hours, so I understand why it was a little difficult, but another couple who was returning at the same time said it took them 45 minutes to pick up WITH employees present, which is how long it took us without employees, and we had to go around a baracade to exit because of the lack of instructions, and we would've had to rent the truck an extra night and park it somewhere public for that night if not for another person returning a vehicle who figured out how to enter the location after hours through a side door and then manually operate the locking drop gate (not an arm, an actual full wall gate barrier).Stephanie M.

My truck had only a 1/8th of a tank, they told me 1/4 of tank. Then the door got stuck and we got that fixed, when we got to our location to unload, they must of tighten the wire up so much it not enough that the door would not stay up with out someone holding the door to unload the truck. It was really hard to find the entrance to the desk area and where to park a larger sign or signage in the garage area or even more details in our reservation email would of been helpful. The person who assisted us was eating food while waiting and seemed really annoyed to be assisting us, we had to ask for details on how to enter and exit the facility which seems to be a normal thing for them not to inform the customer because another customer didn't know how to exit and I had to assist. Also our rental was disgusting covered in bird poop from back to front along with dirt all inside the exterior. Also the AC in the van was not working. Returning the vechile the workers were just chilling there with a random guy sitting with them behind the desk talking story. No professionalism . Your employee Sharen Sylva was the worst, she was on her phone the entire time, had no clue what was going on, she told us things and then forgot that she told us (parking validation). This was literally the one of the worst experience I've had and I'm going to avoid U-Haul all together from this point out. I'd rather strap furniture to the roof of my car than use you guys again. The lock boxes don't work. The staff never answer the phone. The U-Haul staff validated my parking ticket but didn't give it back to me. When the staff changed our reservation due to the U-Haul lock box not working, they didn't transfer the kamaaina discount to the new truck. The return process after hours didn't work at all. The U-Haul staff didn't call me this morning (after dropping off the truck last night) to confirm the mileage, gas amount, or discounts. They just charged my card the full rate and I had to call customer service to get refunded for the kamaaina discount. The garage closes at 8pm so even a 24hour rental system is kind of a lie. Very frustrated with the entire experience, even though I've had only positive experiences at other locations.Mariah Y.

This experience was incredibly difficult from beginning to end. The staff at UHaul was wonderful and very helpful but the larger company system was terrible. First the online reservation system allowed me to make a reservation from 4-7pm when the parking garage where the uhaul vehicles are stored closes at 5 pm. The local staff was very helpful and allowed me to rent the van overnight for no extra charge but this did make my experience way more complicated. I had to find a place to park the van overnight and then take time from my schedule to return it the next day. This is so silly that your reservation system allows this to happen. Then when I returned the van it wasn't recorded in the system so I got multiple notices that I had not returned the van and it was overdue. Also the van itself was in poorly maintained state. Terrible experience all around and unnecessarily stressful. I will not be using Uhaul againKaty H.
