The website is hard to use. I had to restart the check in process multiple times and call for help twice. The truck was not where it was supposed to be. The return key box looked completely different from the picture. The truck was in immaculate condition in the review pictures but had a bump not in the picture. It was not a good experience.Sandra V.

I reserved car hauler at College Point in Queens 2 weeks ago and was never called or told that the equipment was not available when I went to pick it up but instead had to drive out of my way to a different location,GEORGE L.

Cashiers are very rude and sarcastic to customers. Staff needs more customer service training. I will not be using Uhaul anymore. I rather spend my money somewhere else where customers feel valued. I reserved a 15 footer truck one way a week bef. I needed it but by the time im going to collecr from the location they told me they said there was no truck availble on the date i needed it..and they cant do anything abt it they just said to call the hotline where i booked the truck . they said there is an available one at 5pm and they will get back to in an hour but no call has been made back to me..so i have no choice but to get a return truck or made a new booking. Theycause me a lot of trouble, time and money instead of making my life easier..so now tell me how you want me to rate you basing on my experience and now they been asking me money that has been collected from the toll...where i should be the to be compensated! This comment applies in general u-haul..bec. my experiece reflects to u-haul itself not just the location..thank u.VICTORIOSSAVELLA P.

It rent car from before. I had mixed experiences. Some of the people sit behind the desk act cool and don't help rather put you down. I return half hour before the end of their shift. I don't fill fuel back as usual. They spent much time let me wait and then said long after they took my car inside and I have to pay extra $30 for someone to fill fuel, not the price of fuel. He was sitting like a shit and let me wait and pay $30 more! Only some good people keep things going.RAJIBK D.

I was charged for moving goods that were not included in either of my boxes. Also I had to make last minute change to load at a uhaul location because drop off driver couldn't make the turn to drop boxes in my driveway. I ultimately had to pay for delivery service that didn't actually deliver either.DREW M.
Get rid of Jonathan Cruz. He is a 'Kunt'. I took back my truck on 12/12/21 & I had to wait 15 minutes to get a receipt. There was no one ahead of me. He had me waiting while cleaning other vehicles. This is an ongoing problem at that site. He was trying to steer me to an online printout. I am old school. I paid u COD, so therefore I want my receipt upfront. Big man, take back the truck, give me my receipt, then you can continue doing your yardwork....WINSTONSYLVESTER W.

Rented a van the oil change light and rear tire pressure lights were on and they charged me for it. The attendants were no where to be found when I came to return it and to finish it off they told me to return the dolly to the gate and charged me for it later.MATTHEWA B.
This was by far the worst experience with U-haul I've ever had. I've used this company in three different states, and have never encountered such bad customer service and such a poorly maintained truck. I would like to speak with someone concerning my experience. The location wasn't the problem Uhaul was. I rented a truck in Brooklyn NY where I live and the day of my move they changed my pick up to Queens NY. I had to drive a hour away to pick up my truck to drive it back to Brooklyn and start my move and drive it a hour back when I was finish for me to have to drive a hour back home again. When I ask to at least return my truck in Brooklyn they told me no I would be double charged. When I did return it back in Queens I got hit with $400 from $200 for having a truck less then 12 hours because of the extra mileage I did not need. If they left my reservation the way I planned it I would not got charge so much. Inconvenient and over charged for no reason. I deserve some type of refund not just sorry for the inconvenience. This put me so much out of my way. I wasn't even moving in Queens.EARLTEFFICK J.

I started renting a storage unit to housed my Grandmother's most prized possessions. Thinking I was keeping them safe, this place turned out to be the worst decision I've ever made. When my unit was flooded it ruined my furniture with water and mildew damage. I was told that there was nothing they could due as I opted out of insurance. I explained that, I didn't know insurance was an option, as no one informed me on any insurance when I started renting the unit. All I was told there's nothing they can do. Which is completely unacceptable. My items can never be replaced. My other items that wasn't affected were moved upstairs to a smaller unit, but I was still being charged the price of the larger unit. When I finally decided enough was enough. I came to remove my things to go elsewhere, only to find the rest of my future was ruined by RAT DROPPINGS! When this was brought to the staff attention, they said that was regular! I am truly disappointed and angry at the amount of unprofessionalism and just complete disregard of my belongings. I paid uhaul to ruin my future. I have no sofa, mattress, recliner chair or dining room chairs. Just nothing, if it wasn't in plastic bins it's GONE! I had booked at a previous location. When I arrived at the location on time, it wasn't open. No one called me to tell me that it was closed or that that time wasn't available. I wasn't able to move everything because I had to book a smaller size truck. Furthermore it threw my moving schedule off track. This new location was ok. The truck had a weird smell.TRICIACAMILLE B.

Charged a $100 cleaning fee for truck cleaning and when I reached out to inquire about the charge as I have a video of the state the truck was left in johnathan sent me an unprofessional email stating foul oder is the cause for the charges. Mind you the truck was stale smelling at pick up as most of the trucks are. The only thing transported in the vehicle was clear chivari chairs. Email from johnathan started out â€œso the reasonâ€ and ended â€œnext time follow the rulesâ€ Ps.
