The location wasn't the problem Uhaul was. I rented a truck in Brooklyn NY where I live and the day of my move they changed my pick up to Queens NY. I had to drive a hour away to pick up my truck to drive it back to Brooklyn and start my move and drive it a hour back when I was finish for me to have to drive a hour back home again. When I ask to at least return my truck in Brooklyn they told me no I would be double charged. When I did return it back in Queens I got hit with 400,00 $ from 200,00 $ for having a truck less then 12 hours because of the extra mileage I did not need. If they left my reservation the way I planned it I would not got charge so much. Inconvenient and over charged for no reason. I deserve some type of refund not just sorry for the inconvenience. This put me so much out of my way. I wasn't even moving in Queens.EARLTEFFICK J.

I started renting a storage unit to housed my Grandmother's most prized possessions. Thinking I was keeping them safe, this place turned out to be the worst decision I've ever made. When my unit was flooded it ruined my furniture with water and mildew damage. I was told that there was nothing they could due as I opted out of insurance. I explained that, I didn't know insurance was an option, as no one informed me on any insurance when I started renting the unit. All I was told there's nothing they can do. Which is completely unacceptable. My items can never be replaced. My other items that wasn't affected were moved upstairs to a smaller unit, but I was still being charged the price of the larger unit. When I finally decided enough was enough. I came to remove my things to go elsewhere, only to find the rest of my future was ruined by RAT DROPPINGS! When this was brought to the staff attention, they said that was regular! I am truly disappointed and angry at the amount of unprofessionalism and just complete disregard of my belongings. I paid uhaul to ruin my future. I have no sofa, mattress, recliner chair or dining room chairs. Just nothing, if it wasn't in plastic bins it's GONE! I had booked at a previous location. When I arrived at the location on time, it wasn't open. No one called me to tell me that it was closed or that that time wasn't available. I wasn't able to move everything because I had to book a smaller size truck. Furthermore it threw my moving schedule off track. This new location was ok. The truck had a weird smell.TRICIACAMILLE B.

Charged a 100 $cleaning fee for truck cleaning and when I reached out to inquire about the charge as I have a video of the state the truck was left in johnathan sent me an unprofessional email stating foul oder is the cause for the charges. Mind you the truck was stale smelling at pick up as most of the trucks are. The only thing transported in the vehicle was clear chivari chairs. Email from johnathan started out â€œso the reasonâ€ and ended â€œnext time follow the rulesâ€ Ps. I had a horrible experience with UHAUL Uboxes from the start to the end. I was overcharged, told the wrong information, spent no less than 10-15hours on the phone because my notifications were wrong or nonexistent. I was lied to, disregarded, transferred (via phone) a million times but not helped, and everyone told me something different. My uboxes couldn't be found for a day or so, they sat in my parking lot for a week without being picked up, despite my calls, and the list goes one and on. I am very unhappy about the whole experience, and annoyed I paid so much when I couldn't trust the service and had to call SO MANY TIMES, and I wish I had used another service to move. I plan to write a review so others don't have to go through this stress.Alexis H.

a walk in customers as myself should have the option to rent the trucks since the lot was full of trucks but the workers inside kept saying they don't have it available and only rent from reservations which i did over the phone and even with a reservation code they kept telling me that there was NO trucks available and was so messed up that one hour later i ended up rent it the same truck thats been parked there all the time which they told me wasn't available and this is the second time this happen to me and i felt that not everybody is treated the same way at that storeHUGOALBINO H.

Let the client know the unit will be locked until they are ready to love in. However, other than that I had a great experience. The staff on duty yesterday 10/5 and today 10/6 should be commended for their professionalism, kindness and ability to provide me with all of my needs.DAWN W.
This was my first experience. The process for returning was not clear. Although the staff was super busy and rushing around they were nice. I just had to trust that the transaction was complete. I will NEVERRRRRRR use uhaul again for storage!!! While the workers that walk around the units and help were all very nice, the people at the front desk (with the exception of the two men that were there the day I officially moved out) were NO help. Uhaul owes me 30 $and said they will have a manager contact me… that was 3 YEARS AGO!!!! Still haven't gotten a refund or even a call back. They charge you over 100 $to put your stuff in their dumpster, like what is the dumpster for if not to discard things, I paid 92,90 $ a month for a box and they still make you pay to throw out furniture.
