They charged me for a utility dolly which they never gave me, and even when I spoke to the worker who was handling my return, he kept sending me to a different individual who “yes” me to death, but didn't remove it from my bill. The first truck I received was dirty, and the passenger side wind shield wiper wasn't working (yes it was raining). Took 19 minutes to get a 2nd truck.

i got there at 9 they told me they were not renting because the plow hasn't gotten there so come back at 11 i went back at 11 & they told me they were not renting because the plow did not come. there was a guy there w a snow blower & he only cleared out a very small area & then disappeared and wasn't seen the entire time i was there. i asked the manager melessa if we shoveled out the truck can we rent it because i had taken 3 cabs that day since they told me to come back & she said sure while she continued to do nothing but be on her phone. another customer was also shoveling their own truck out meanwhile like i said not one other employee was shoveling. when he got the snow removed from the van out she got the van stuck & then we had to again shovel out more snow & get the van out ourselves. once we did that the truck i was going to remove straight forward she got into it & started to reverse it & also get it in an even worse position than it already was although she saw we were shoveling the front of it to remove it that way. it took an hour for 3 customers to shovel out the trucks while no help from actual employees.

We had this reservation #:22491761 Pick Up Location: Liberty Auto Center Inc 149-12 97th Ave Jamaica, NY 11435 Date & Time: Monday, January 25, 2021 at 9:30 AM, but this location is unclean , no one was available to communicate with us, we waited because we for told he went on a errands to pick up materials and when he was contacted he informed us we have to go to another location because the computers are not working, I saw all the bad reviews online but I was going to give him a chance but my experience how does U-Haul continue to allow this site to continue to provide unprofessional services and inconvenience customers..I'm going to post a review on that location.

I cleaned my storage at the beginning of December and called the same day to your 1800 number to let you know storage is empty for no more charges and you can track that call ... after that they charged me twice even with a late fee... Didn’t understand why if I had automated payment. They call me early January to confirm storage was closed I say yes and ask to please verify my late fee and extra charge to be refunded ... She said someone would call me back and nobody did... I call to your customer service trying to solve that and same thing happened never called me back... they called me yesterday from storage location 1/21 and the representative was rude and even hang up the phone on me cause I was asking about the extra charges you made to my account... SO NO I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND UHUAL TO NO ONE

Your employee, Ms. Jasmine Williams, was one of the nastiest employees I've encountered to date. Jasmine had an attitude from the time we began our interaction. She sucked her teeth a lot, banged on the desk, and impatiently tapped her fingers on the desk. After the we were complete with the process, Jasmine did not explain any of the procedures as I heard the two other employees doing as they completed their transactions with other customers (text I would receive upon my arrival to the rented truck). She simply handed me the key with no information on the lot placement of my truck. I then had to walk back and re-enter the location to ask. I saw Jasmine by another door, I asked her which truck would be mine, she chuckled and stated “D”. I exited again to find that row D had about 5 other trucks in that row. I then had to re-enter the location again to find out what truck in row D was mine. As I approached the counter where Jasmine was standing, she quickly locked herself in the bathroom where she stayed for over 15 minutes to avoid me. Another gentleman, unfortunately I did not get his name, but a Latino gentleman ended up asking me if he can help me. I explained the situation, he then walked me out to the truck that was mine. While he was very helpful and did his job, I would not be returning! Jasmine was very rude and trying to cause me an inconvenience, which I should not have to experience somewhere I am spending my hard earned money. Your company is not cheap, I spent over $100 dollars for a rental that a I barely had for 4 hours.

I booked online, it offered me pickup at 164th & union turnpike, near my home. I was also offered (and charged) to have rented moving pads and a dolly put in the truck for me. When I got there, I was informed by the app that they pickup location had been moved to Jamaica (where there is no parking and a 15 minute drive, I was in a rush and this was very frustrating). When I finally found a spot to illegally park my car I got the truck and drove to my destination only to find no moving pads and no dolly. All in all a bad experience.

I had originally ordered a 20ft truck but this was not available. No one at Customer service when I called in at 7am mentioned this to me. I was offered a 17ft truck in stead. The service person at the counter in the Jamaica location, however, was very accommodating to the mistake and made it right by offering a slight discount. I do believe there needs to be better communication between remote customer service center and the actual location where a pick up is scheduled to avoid such problems - or at least better inform customer.

The first Uhaul I've ever got in to and it was DIRTY! There was dried mud in the floor, trash everywhere and a mask. So glad I had my gloves and wipes to clean everything before getting in!!!!!

I was told by the representative at the counter that it would additional $85 then what I was quoted online without an explanation. Since I had movers waiting I couldn't go further with the questions I had. I tried using my Apple pay credit card, after it went through the representative said it didn't go through. I used my debt card instead. Now I have a charge on my Apple credit card as well as my debt card. Now I have to contact my bank and credit card for the duplicate charges. The van was completely wet like someone just took a garden hose and hosed the entire inside of the van. We had to sit in wet seats since they were not dried before we got in the van. We had to stop at home to use numerous paper towels to dry the inside of the van as well as use towels to put on the seats. I will never be using this uhual location nor this company again. I will make sure to report this poor experience to the Better Business Bureau, Google, Yelp and all online and paper news outlets.

Front desk rep was smug yet inefficient and uninformed. The pick up truck was dirty and smelled like marijuana. We dropped it off on time and the same attendant stated that we wouldn't be charged a late fee as if he was offering a deal. We were on time. Besides all of this, the website was slow and a pain. We had to do things 3 and 4 times to get it done.

Your service representative was high as high can get. My truck wasn't ready, she did my reservation all over! She sent me to the wrong truck! Not to mention she kept falling asleep while redoing my reservation! The first time I looked up she was damn near sleeping on top of the computer mouse. I cleared my throat to wake her up and she asked me the same question over and over. I even took a picture of her the second and third time she fell asleep. She sent me to the wrong location of the truck and when I came back in to tell her the truck was not in the place she sent me to, for the fourth time she was asleep again! I yelled across the floor to tell her the truck was not there too wake her! It's obvious that she has an addiction problem and needs help. I hope that your company will help her rather than dismiss her. I know you have cameras in the building so you might want to review them. When I returned the truck she had on shades. This is defintely not what I expected from the uhaul company.

Be better organized in selecting pickup locations. We were given an easily accessible location in Brooklyn and 2 days later told a much further location in Brooklyn and the day of pickup - 1 1/2hr before pickup given the Douglas Avenue pickup in Jamaica and we had to take 2 buses and 2 trains to get there. Be more considerate and better organized.

The service I received was unacceptable. First I had to shovel 2 vans out which should have been done prior to me picking up the u it. Secondly the miles on the unit document were wrong which I stated to the representative. Lastly I was charged more miles than driven and charged 125 per day which was not what I ordered when I rented the Vechical the van cost 19.99 per day. Plus mileage. I'm currently disputing this transaction, the service at this location was absolutely awful. I have worked with uhaul and have never experienced service so portly and unprofessional.

I WILL ADVICE YOU GO TO A DIFFERENT UHAUL LOCATION, THIS IS MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, I make a reservation last Friday for a 9f van got the paperwork went to the parking lot an associate was there, I ask him if he will inspect the truck before I take it, he said no, upon leaving the parking lot i upload the photo with the dashboard gauge on the contract they had the trip miles which was 20 miles less than the total miles. I rented the van to move some furniture upon reaching my pick up destination I notice sand and stone in the cargo area I clean it, spread my blanket and pack my stuff So upon returning the van I ask the same associate to come and check the van he told me no he don't have to let me take the key out and give it to him, he will take care of the rest, mind you it's my first time renting from this particular location. They charge me $54 for cleaning which I didn't make a mess I have photos, as I said upon leaving they had the trip miles and upon returning he check total miles I went to clarify the mistake the following day the guy who's name was on the contact didn't want to listen to anything I said I spoke to another rep he took me to the computer and he saw the mistake, the manager was right there and she refuse to come take a look although the rep telling her am right, she said they will review it It's been 1 week since I haven't hear back from them

Upon my return their were a number of trucks blocking the return area , so I was confused as were to drop the truck off. Customer service was unavailable even though they were visible. The only reason why I couldn't say "Excellent" on my overall rating of the U-Haul Storage facility at this particular location is that there is just one problem that I had with the place. The problem is that they have these extremely loud, ear-piercing alarms that keep going off intermittently at that place.. The sound of those alarms are so shrill and so terrible that prolonged exposure to them would most certainly damage a person's ear-drums. The elevators are of a type that I've never seen before; they're like something from a previous age of man's existence on this planet, and the elevators themselves are wired to set off a horrible super-shrill, ear-drum piercing alarm that goes off for a few seconds while the doors are closing. So this is my only complaint about the place. I would recommend that they install modern elevators, and then relegate all those annoying and quite frankly, extremely unhealthy alarms to the after 10:00 PM over-night hours. I say those alarms are unhealthy because of the potential damage they can cause to a person's nerves and ear-drums, and maybe even the brains too, to a certain extent, when a person has to be there working and packing for 3 hours or more. So I think they should set the alarms to go off after 10:00 PM at night, which would be the "after hours" time period, so that people who come in there to do work in their units in the daytime can have peace & quiet, and be able to return home with the healthy nerves, brains, and ear-drums that they came in with. So apart from this one thing concerning the terrible noise of those alarms, everything else about this Storage Facility is WONDERFUL!

Charles Hampton is useless, he does not listen, I ordered boxed online and he could not find where they were. I had to request a refund. Melissa Toussaint DOES NOT know how to talk to customers she needs training. I met Darnell Gore twice he help me out and made suggestions as to what I should do even though I had to rent on two separate days and paid a little more he was EXTREMELY helpful polite and even smile, nice guy, right business attitude, he is who your company needs. He saved the day TWICE.

I moved out and u haul staff are still taking money out of my account. The cleaning lady that works on Friday is such a dear and she keeps the facility clean and is very helpful.
