The storage unit that I used started to smell like mold and mothballs. I left several messages with management and they never called me back. I would like a credit of one or two months. I have used the storage facility for over 10 years and I've spent well over 25 000 $. I looked back and it was obviously a tremendous waste of my money. My reservation was â€œlostâ€. I waited 5 hours , And visited 3 locations before a truck was found for me . I had reserved a 26 foot truck , and had to settle for a 17 foot truck . I now have to make another trip to upstate New York. A one day turn around trip turned into a 2 day excursion. Extra $$ extra $ to pay my workers. An all around bad experience. I have the second trip planned for next week and I am extremely hesitant to even call your company for reservation . Please revamp your reservation system - and upgrade your customer service. I'm this day and age , companies have gone under for less.John E.

I am really unhappy with your app, your 24/7 help line and your procedure to bring back your trucks. I brought the truck back at night cleaned and gassed up . Thought from previous rentals that all I had to do was to put the key in the box, put in the mileage and go home. But your procedure now is check it back in on the internet. I wasn't able to do that for some reason so I called the help line. I was on line for a half an hour when a prompt finally came on and said your wait time is 56 minutes. if you press 1 we will call you back. My call was dropped and no one ever called me back. So I drove home 10 mile and brought it back in the morning 10 miles and as far as I'm concerns you ripped me off for 39,80 $. if you really want to do the right thing and make a customer happy my name is Hugh and my cell is 516-380-5290 By the way the questions you asked are very pointed and does not tell about the whole experience.Hugh T.

But when I pick the van at this location, the staff told me I have to drive back, if not they can't let me pick the van. Okay, l live in NJ, I have to drive the van back to NY, pay toll fee, pay extra fuel, pay my back travel fee. Pay extra 80 $for your stupid system error or bug. That is funny.TIANYU Z.

I called up to make sure the vehicle would be available because I needed to transport a specific item on that specific day. I was told the company almost always meets their reservation unless the person renting the vehicle before has an issue. I also received an email saying the vehicle was "guaranteed." In reality when I arrived at the location there was no vehicle and the manager told me they only have one pickup that has been rented since 7/28.He was very nice and called the manager who told me to go to a location at 123 Jericho Tpke about 15 minutes away. There were multiple addresses at "123 Jericho Turnpike and he didn't have the zip code. When I finally got there, the updated location had two pickups in inventory. U-haul needs to get its act together. If you're constantly leaving no room for error between reservations you will screw up a significant portion of your customers. You should assign reservations to where there are multiple vehicles first. If a vehicle isn't in stock for any reason an email or phone call would be nice. You shouldn't send your customer on a tour of long island to find this out.richard Y.
I was initially told to go to Manhasset where there was no one around to help and no keys in either box to receive the keys, which meant I had to schlep to Jericho and wait for another truck. It was very inconvenient but luckily Jericho was helpful once everything was settled an hour behind schedule.Jack M.

Went to pick up a 5x8 trailer at a considerable distance and time from where i requested. When I arrived we hooked up the trailer staff were excellent only problem was the wiring was most spliced system I have ever seen. After 30 minutes I was forced to switch to 6x12 which was way larger than I needed and wanted. While my truck can haul it, the size of the trailer put added stress on my truck which was unnecessary for my move. I know equipment is scarce in the northeast and that why you need to take care of what equipment you have all should be treated as a zero fail missionThad M.

I had an original reservation at the UHAUL pickup location in Syosset, NY. When I showed up to pick up my UHAUL, the owner of the location said he did not have any reservation nor a UHAUL truck to give me. After showing him the reservation on my phone, he still refused to help me and basically did nothing. Did not get on the phone with UHAUL to try and solve the issue. Horrible customer service. I immediately called the UHAUL 1-800 number and was lucky enough to get a UHAUL at your Jericho Location. The Jericho staff was fantastic, professional and helpful. I do feel like I should be given some type of credit for the negative experience I had, however, at the Syosset pickup location as I was left to scramble and quickly had to make other arrangements.DONALDALAN S.
