Rented trailer with a bad tire. Couldn't change it...took over an hour to try to air it up. I told them it wouldn't hold. By the time I got home it was flat. A couple of trailers came in while I was there. I asked if we could simply exchange trailer, the answer was a flat no no reason given. Once the staff realize there was an issue they kept avoiding me took them over an hour to tell me that they simply couldn't fix the tire and I could take the trailer anyway to me that was unacceptable so once I took the trailer home I had to call roadside assistance and stay up to almost midnight so he can come out and fix that tire so basically I paid for a half a day's rental and wasn't even able to use the equipment. I knew I was in trouble when the young man tried to air up the tire without a air Chuck on the end of the holes. I had to point that out which is really sad. Unless these people get better trained in their customer service and actual hands on experience to deal with problems I'll simply buy my own trailer and be done with it because this wasn't even worth the time wasted. This location used to be really on the ball but now it's went downhill severely I won't be back.ANDREW T.

Truck wasn't ready when I arrived & I was late. Was supposed to be able to do online check-in but had to go inside & do everything I'd already done online. The sales person did not make me aware the truck had 1/4 tank of gas. I was in a hurry after running late then having to wait longer. From past experience with Uhaul you are to return the truck with a full tank of gas. Therefore I filled the tank. Took my receipt to the manager & he just said oh well it says here 1/4 tank so I'm not refunding your gas money. The truck leaked during a rain we had while my items were inside as well. Now I've been sitting on the phone for 30 min to talk to Corp repKRISTI M.

Get your app system in order. I arrived at 9 to pick up my truck. I found it and the app told me to go inside and get the key. The guy looked at my phone, looked at the keys and took off. There was s a mess in the system. It took until 10:30 to get out of there. Then, the contract said the truck has a full tank but as I started driving I realized it only had 3/4 of a tank. I spent 50 $filling up when I only used 1/8 of a tank not 3/8. This was a mess and I should get a discount and a refund.Christopher J.
Not only did you make me believe my belongings were safe and secure, you lead me to believe I had piece of mind. Both the afore mentioned comments are false. My whole family stored our belongings in a u-haul facility, and because we made this mistake we are left with nothing. Every single item was stolen in broad daylight, while your employees watched. I have the only key card, part of your top notch security, yet somehow it was bypassed and intruders gained entry to my unit. I purchased my keys from you, yet other people had the same keys. The video recording obviously was not functioning because if it had been, this would have been resolved already. So, in conclusion, my experience with u-haul was the nightmare i wake up to daily. Precious belongings that can never be replaced have vanished and your doing nothing. I have waited for over three weeks for a response and so far, other than the general manager of the joplin 7th Street location next to wal mart, accusing me of stealing my own things and being anything but helpful I have not heard or seen anything to facilitate or remedy this horrendous tragedy. The store sucks, ive been waiting for a refund because i was charged for extra time when the truck had already returned. Your general manager is not very professional and carries out his duties like he would rather be some place else. This problemim isnt the first and ive heard more people being charge for trucks they have rented out to others but charge their cards for. I wont refer this location to anyone. I reserved a pickup truck. I arrived and it was waiting for me and this was verified with the quick check-in app. While I was waiting to get the truck one of the staff drive off with it. I had to wait 45 minutes for him to return. He apologized but didn't try to discount my charge. It took longer for me to wait than the actual time I used the truck and that included putting gas in the truck. I heard one staff say, if he leaves again (referring to the staff who left with the truck I reserved) I'll burn this place down. I have used this location before and staff were top notch. The only problem was the employees had a LOT of problems with the computer systems and I had to modify my reservations several times to try to get them right. I ended up cancelling all my reservations and starting over again because either the employee or the computer system messed them up. I'm glad I had time to deal with this issue. Most people do not. Other than that, the employees were friendly and nice. The equipment was clean and in good working order.WALTER W.

Then charged our staffs personal who we are moving with no approval with not even a sorry. I rented a climate controlled storage unit and when I showed up I was told it wasn't a guarantee and wasn't available. I had even called after reserving the unit and was told it would be available. Having a reservation number and email telling me I have a unit, but showing up and it not being available is a horrible way to do business. I booked a 20ft for Sunday online. Spoke to call center as well. I went to Uhaul location Saturday afternoon nobody at location. Called the 2 numbers i found. Was told that the rep several hours away from location, not coming back. Not open Sunday's anyway! Called 800 number to get resolution. Was sent to next location but only had 17ft or 26ft available. PU 17ft on Sunday 9: 05 a.m clerk wasn't really all there in the head. Keep talking to her self while she was waiting on me. I finally got my truck only to discover the gas tank was sitting on Empty. After gassing up we finally got on the road at 9: 57 a.m. this'll was the first and last time I will consider your services. Good luck!DANIEL S.

I'm not really sure how you could improve, my visit was great! From the moment I walked in the door, Gage was very professional and helpful. As a woman, I know that there would be a good chance that I would be treated "dumb blonde", but no, I was treated like a person. He showed me to the waiting area and even checked on me a few times to see if I was ok and needed anything. Zach was installing my hitch and came out part way through to give me an update due to it taking a little extra time. Together they made the perfect team! This U-HAUL location get an A+ and these two young men get A++. This is the place to go! Thank you Gage and Zach, I so appreciate you both and enjoyed spending the afternoon with you!!Cheryl P.
This was O.K. initially. We were told by the U-Haul clerk that if we returned the trailer 2 days early, we would receive a pro-rated refund. Well, that wasn't the case when we got to Tucson. We returned the trailer 2 days early, but we were denied a refund because the U-Haul clerk in Tucson said it applied to round trip rentals only. I'm angry & I feel like I was taken advantage of. I feel like I cannot trust U-Haul & I have no interest in using your company ever again.LISA H.

When I was moving my stuff in. There was a couple hanging out in or in front of their unit in the hallway. I was on my way back out to get another load when I came around the corner, I startled the couple & the smell of paint about knocked me out. I couldn't get outside to the fresh air quick enough before I thought I would choke to death. Since this facility is supposed to be monitored 24 hours a day 7 days a week that behaviour was very upsetting cause they are not only putting their life endanger they also put mine as well. And they werent the only people I saw or definately could smell what they were doing either. Not sure if I will keep my belongings in this facility very long. We drive the truck 18 miles and put 2 gallon of fuel in it just to notice on the receipt that we were charged for 3 gallon of fuel. If we put no fuel in the truck we still didn't burn 3 gallon of fuel in 18 miles. Completely dishonest!!!!JAMES C.

I wasted 2 hours of my time on the trailer hitch approval on my truck. I went up there and told them that i was there for my inspection for me to pull the trailer. They asked me my year make and model i told them and they said i should be fine to tow . The information was on the rental reservation. this needs to be fixed. if a vehicle is a certain year make model and mileage on the vehicle should be plenty to say yes or no. or make it inspection the day of pickup. Then i finally get there for pickup and the trailer has no connector plug for the lights and brakes.TONY J.

For over three weeks one of the two bay doors to pull in and unload has been broken did talk to front desk with no results. Asked for a specific locker number because it was close to the loading area and was moving big heavy furniture without much help and was told it was rented and for a month no one ever moved into the locker you can tell by the tag on the door. Went to rent a truck and was told none are available when the lot was literally full of trucks. It seems like staff is honestly just lazy. The sales person who we dealt with was very nice and courteous. This was my first time renting a trailer and driving one long distance. I was having trouble with my lock for my hitch and when I asked if he could help me with it he took care of it and had it fixed in no time. The customer service has issues doing their jobs. They didn't have my reservation in the system when I showed up. They were not up front over the fees for the deposit. Also I reset the trip mileage in the truck I used before leaving the Uhaul location. I tracked the Mileage on my phone also. I was charged for more miles than I used. Storage unit had many bugs inside and mice droppings/urine. We did not have any food items stored in the unit. When asked, management said it was our problem. Recently, we were notified that during an inspection they found that our unit no longer had a lock on it. They said they would place a lock on it and that we needed to visit the office the next time we were in to get it unlocked. When we visited the office they did not have a key. No one had actually secured the unit. The worker also informed me that there was no way anyone could actually cut my lock off without ruining their door (it was a special storage unit lock, circular, and a combination lock). It is a mystery how it disappeared, but did not make me feel very safe. Fortunately, we did not see any missing items.emily f. | Expérience générale
I was forced to pay for the whole month of a storage unit when I used only 14 days of the month. When I originally paid for the month(because they don't offer weekly rates) they said i wold be prorated and refunded the excess since I wouldn't be using the whole month. I moved out. Didnt get any money back then was told it was too bad. My loss. When they can rent the unit for the remainder of the 2 weeks and still have the money I paid for those 2 weeks.
