You should make it clear to people doing the mobile pick up that they still need to go inside and speak to a salesperson. The online pickup was a nightmare and the truck was not where the location indicated. I will avoid using your company in the future as the experience was not worth the hassle.Michael M.

Truck was fine, rental process was fine. Only real issue was the guy working inside. He was rude and made it abundantly clear that he was being put out by our truck return.Zak H.
Did not have the size truck that I had reserved to be picked up. They put me in a larger truck, which I absolutely did not need as I was moving 2 items. And then the truck I was put in turned out to be a death-trap that completely lost control of the steering over 50 mph. I told the guy at the site this, as a warning to not put other customers in this truck and the guy just stared at me like I was an inconvenience to him for even saying it.Dallas M.

We needed to utilize our day as much as possible for a local move from one house to another. This Uhaul location was open at 7:00 am and ready for us when we arrived for pickup just a few minutes after 7:00. Everything from pickup to return was convenient and seamless. I rented a small trailer to haul some things out of my old home to move to my new home 14 hrs away. Nobody even opened the trailer to look in it, so it was hooked up and we left. The night we went to load it(new Year eve) there was a lock on it from someone else!!! We had no tools to cut it off, I had to find someone to help us on New Year's Eve!!!!! A man who helped us had to go buy a electric saw to get it off that I had to pay for another 65 dollars. That took 2 hrs. Then the trailer had boxes and bags in it from the previous renter!!! This was all uncalled for!! We use U-Haul always on our moves. We never have experienced this.Bonnie H.

This is the 3rd time I have chosen to complete the pick up over my phone. The 2nd & 3rd time the keys weren't in the lockbox and I had to go inside. This time the truck wasn't even pulled to the reserve section. When I walked back in to explain that the truck was not where it should be there were the same 5 people standing around the cash wrap (I'm no sure if they were all employees) and they all acted to inconvenienced to show me where to find my truck out of the 30+ in the lot. The guy who helped me seemed quite irritated to do so until he realized that it wasn't where it was supposed to be. He gave me a half rate apology and a dirty truck. I have to rent a 10 footer monthly to bring food to the elderly. I spend over 40 $each month and each time the process is always stressful to pick up the truck.Brittany G.

PRICE PRICE. GOUGING PRICE ITS THE BOTTOM LINE WHEN YOUR IN THE MIDDLE OF COVID........... AT THE END OF IT ALL A CUSTOMER WANTS A GOOD VALUE. I DONT WANT TO SCRATCH OUT A FUE DOLLARS ONLY TO GET PASTED BY U-HAUL & END UP SIDE DOWN.. 1st off you mileage is too damn high.... I used to rent several trucks every day 15's/24's And the millage was between.05 to 0,09 per ml. BUT THIS 0,45 to 0,49 or higher is a ripoff all day.Lyn B.
The one complaint I have is that the city of Carthage Missouri has no 10 foot truck so I had to go all the way to Joplin on seventh Street to rent a 10 foot truck and the people at Joplin are very nice very helpful but it cost me extra gas and miles because you didn't have what I needed in Carthage and that frustrates me that the only complaint I have have a nice dayTIMOTHY H.

Very rude service from Bryce at the counter had to defend myself on all levels with no professionalism. Also no one working there was wearing a mask and not abiding by city of Joplin ordinance. Also no customers were wearing a mask. I was the only one wearing a mask felt very awkward. Unacceptable!Darren C.

Storage unit had many bugs inside and mice droppings/urine. We did not have any food items stored in the unit. When asked, management said it was our problem. Recently, we were notified that during an inspection they found that our unit no longer had a lock on it. They said they would place a lock on it and that we needed to visit the office the next time we were in to get it unlocked. When we visited the office they did not have a key. No one had actually secured the unit. The worker also informed me that there was no way anyone could actually cut my lock off without ruining their door (it was a special storage unit lock, circular, and a combination lock). It is a mystery how it disappeared, but did not make me feel very safe. Fortunately, we did not see any missing items.emily f. | Expérience générale

Guys called me multiple times to bring back the uhaul early because someone else wanted it. They harassed meMatthew R.
I was expected to return the rental at 10:00 on a Thursday morning. I don't understand this in that my reservation to pick up was at 10:30. I was thinking I was to have it returned at 11. I was told it was to be there at 10:00????? I arrived at 11 and dropped it off, explaining to the young woman the situation. I thought it was fine. I am throughly disappointed now to see that I was charged for an extra day. If this is the kind of service at that location - I will not go there again. I have used this location several times over the past few years and never been treated or ignored like I was here. You can rest assured I will not do business with them again. If having to have a trailer back at one hour earlier than when I left with it three days before is the policy, I am not pleased. Even more, to be told by the young woman it was okay, no problem and then. to be charged an addition 30,49 $ for that I don't want to do business with a company that takes that kind of approach.JAMES L.

Billy was excellent, helping us with getting the truck, later helping the ladies with the big tv box and especially when the check engine light came on one block from the house on our 11 hour drive. He was very professional and patient and checked the codes and cleared the emissions error and got us on the road as quickly as possible! Truck was missing a pressure sensing tire cap that caused the truck to think that there was low pressure in one of the tires. When I pointed this out to the employee he told me not to worry about it that the tire pressure was fine. Note that because of this I had to check the pressure in all the tires several times a day during my cross country drive.JEFFREY D.

greatly appreciate being open on sunday, and later on sunday than others. have always had good service here. just seems to be understaffed, which I'm sure is a perpetual challenge. have experienced some great u-haul places in the country that come right out when you pull up to return. not always the case, here. have to often get out and go in after waiting as the sign says to do. but I still appreciate this site as the best in the joplin area.Thomas B.

Employee said gas tank was all the way to full...it was not. I put 7,50 $ in gas for a 20 mile usage plus the 0,79 cents a mile. So, I returned it completely with a full tank of gas. I know this isn't much money but it's the principal...if you say it's full, it better be full.CHERYL B.

Ryan Nelson from your Joplin, MO office went above and beyond call of duty to assist us in getting our pods delivered to our new home on a timely basis as we had being living in a hotel for 38 days until acquisition of our house was completed. Bailey Nelson diligently delivered the last 3 pods at 9:30PM which is also another splendid "above and beyond call of duty" service for your customer. We highly recommend U-Haul's Excellent Customer Service and Efficiency to everyone seeking a cost-effective cross-country relocation!Chris K.
I was forced to pay for the whole month of a storage unit when I used only 14 days of the month. When I originally paid for the month(because they don't offer weekly rates) they said i wold be prorated and refunded the excess since I wouldn't be using the whole month. I moved out. Didnt get any money back then was told it was too bad. My loss. When they can rent the unit for the remainder of the 2 weeks and still have the money I paid for those 2 weeks. The person who checked us in the first time couldn't find our contract on the computer, in spite of us giving the phone numbers that are posted on the contract. My husband thought he had left it where we were staying, but later found it in his pocket. The attendant could find it on his phone, not the computer. Even though we had been told we didn't need to have a paper contract, we did , and were glad we were able to produce it, even if it was late.Mendal F.

I returned my 10 foot uhaul that I rented for 4-6 hours. I was on the parking lot as the uhaul representative was observing equipment and settling Bill, he told me it would be 55,00 $, I told him it was on the side of the truck priced at 19,99 $ not 39,99 $ then he added 15,00 $ more dollars to make it 5 500 $I said do I need to go inside and get this settled right? He said no won't do you any good. I went inside and spoke to general manager my card had already been charged 55,00 $ he did refund to my card but it took 3 days to get my money back. This should never have happened! Every time I come there for a truck I get some kind of run around rather it's the fuel not being where they say it is when contract us signed or charges on my card that are not necessary. I have rented there numerous times and I can never get out of there and call the experience pleasant. It is always something not right. I should not have to fight for u Haul to be honest I their business and not try to gouge mineyout come that I do not owe.TERRI C.

Truck did not have a full tank of gas although they told me it did. I immediately told the guy who checked me out in the truck. He said he'd mark it down that it only has a quarter tank. He didnt! I had taken a picture of it before I left and when I turned it in of course they argued with me. Patricia calls and says, the truck I rented is past due, and I explain it was picked up at 10:30 because the Homestead storage place by my house where I had reserved the truck didn't have it so I call uhaul they explain orange box code, not working then up Pops unavailable on my verification email, so wasted 2,5 hours to get one in Joplin. Then have to explain to them truck is on lot if they want me to send pictures of mileage and past full gas gauge with number on key ring as dropping in drop box Patricia tells me oh I guess we will look on the lot. Shouldn't you have done that first. You say the calls are recorded so listen to it. The whole process was a cluster and clearly nobody knows what they are doing and reserving online a joke or a scam you tell me.JAMES C.
