We pulled in, the staff unhooked the trailer and a receipt was emailed within an hour. Couldn't have been any faster! Thanks for making a long weekend easier!

Car hauler was stolen so they changed my location to Kalamazoo which is an hour away. I was told I'd be credited the rental but was not. What was supposed to take 40 mins out of my day now took 3 hours out of my day. Find better solutions when the customer is inconvenienced. I still payed for the rental wasn't credited anything like discussed and had to fill a full take due to having to adjust to uhauls inventory.

Ed StaronMy first impression was "cool, it's a nice truck." Upon inspection of the storage compartment it was dirty and needed to be swept. The cab was impeccable though - they did a god job detailing. However, the trucks fuel was on empty when I picked it up! I took pictures with time stamps. I was informed that the truck was supposed to be at 9/16. I called customer service and they said they put in a note but then they hung up on me and never bothered. When I returned my truck later that day - on time - I was met by opposition when I showed them pictures and informed them what happened. Initially they were reluctant to help and resorted to interrogating me and implied that I was lying. Thankfully my photos and bank notes proved that to be wrong. They kind of fixed the issues by giving me a discount but I paid a lot of money in fuel that I felt should have been considered. However because I only had a bank note and not an official receipt they dismissed me. Overall I was not impressed - especially not with the unprofessional attitude exhibited by the lady in store. Then again, nobody likes being yelled at and accused even if they did help you a little in the end.

Lawrence WachowskiWaited an absurdly long time at the desk for assistance. When someone did arrive, Questions were brushed off and it took multiple inquiries to ask for clarity. We were also given a vehicle with no fuel, and had to go BACK to the desk again to clarify that we'd get a fuel credit. Truck was dirty and the steering wheel was loose. Awful experience, will not visit this location again.

Antonio GonzalezThis Uhaul physical site opens as 7 which is a big advantage over the other sites in the area if you are attempting to get something done in one day. Unfortunately, this site did not have a 6x12 open trailer with a ramp available as one was rented from the site some time ago and none have been returned to this site. I rented the 6x12 open trailer without a ramp which turned out to serve our needs almost as well. It certainly would have been more convenient to roll bags of concrete off the trailer. There is a discrepancy in the weight capacity of the trailer which should be corrected. When you reserve online the listed capacity for the 6x12 open trailer WITHOUT ramp is 2 670 pounds. However, printed on the inside of the trailer itself the capacity is stated as 2 400 pounds. Although in our case we were below both, this discrepancy should be clarified. I have no idea whether the same discrepancy exists for the 6x12 trailer WITH a ramp. Lastly, I liked the design of the hydraulic brakes on the trailer. I found it ingenious.
john cipollaI put in a dispute of charges because I was charged for gas when I took the truck to the gas station and filled the tank until it the gas pump stopped. I put 3,7 gallons in the truck and only traveled 21 miles total. No one has reached out to tell me the resolution of my dispute, and it has been 9 days now. I have used Uhaul many times in my life and this is the last time.

Stacey SparksFirst, the location was awesome and the staff was friendly and helpful. The windshield of the truck was covered in something, on the inside, and one of the employees helped me clean it before I took the truck. Second: The Truck. What a POS this truck turned out to be. Initially I felt like I was risking my life taking this thing on the highway. Even on an unusually long on ramp, this thing could barely get up to 50 MPH, with the pedal to the floor. The engine was SO loud, I couldn't hear the radio and thought perhaps someone had taken the catalytic converter. Each gear shift was a loud "CLUNK" with the truck lunging forward. Eventually I was able to get to 65 MPH, but the noise persisted. I literally got off the highway to check the exhaust system as I had a 250 mile trip ahead of me. Everything appeared to be normal so I hopped back on the highway. I managed to make it a quarter of the distance of my entire trip and burned a half tank of gas doing so,.,,,there's something not right with this truck. After a short break, I fired the beast back up and headed out...eventually, the noise became less and less and I traveled almost twice the distance as the first leg of the trip with the remaining half tank of fuel. By the time I headed back towards home, the noise was tolerable and I could hear the radio more and more, Acceleration improved exponentially and the shifting was smoother. By the time I dropped it off (2 hours late and $127 in gas for a 250 mile trip) the truck idled smooth, shifted smooth and had to seem like a different vehicle if there was a previous single driver. I imagine the smaller trucks don't get out on the highway often, but they need to just to burn the carbon out of them, or however maintains them need to pay better attention.

We moved my deceased mothers things (she was not aware of this) her caring and calm nature made a frustrating situation better. I would use again because of her. Truck's should be cleaner through.

So I left the business got clear across town and had to go back to pick up the dolly asking for it not to count toward my mileage only to be told it was my fault because I should have loaded it.

Ryan OberlinMark (owner) was agitated by other employees and was sharing his thoughts with someone else while I was standing at the counter. Didn't have 3 pieces of equipment that I requested (2 furniture dollies and one regular dolly). Gave me a dirty truck that I had to drive off the curb onto the street to get it out of its parking spot. According to Mark, "they do it all the time." This rental experience was completely different than what I've encountered in the past.

The only thing that I had an issue with at first was finding the number for the actual Uhaul Service center and Storage Facility that I was working with. I recommend that you ask for their direct number when you are in the facility filling out paperwork so that you do not have to go through the corporate phone tree and answering service which by the way is not very helpful and has proved to be very frustrating compared to working directly with the on site staff members.

During a busy moving season in a college town, the staff was kind enough to move our pickup and return time to ensure we had adequate time for our move. Pick up was smooth, the staff helpful and friendly. There was different staff on duty when we returned the trailer and moved into the storage unit but the service was the same, top notch. Kind, patient, helpful and had a great sense of humor. Would highly recommend U-Haul Moving and Storage of Kalamazoo (1004 Portage Street Kalamazoo, MI).
