The customer service was horrible she was rude and had an attitude. I understand automation but lazy is basically what I'd say she was like the truck is either on this side or one of the 2 in front just walk around until you find it. I've never seen anything like it also the vehicle I was supposed to be getting was canceled. When I return it no one was inside it was not told to me what to do upon return so I had to wait for 20 minutes until I noticed someone outside cleaning another truck not dressed in Uhaul uniform did she know if someone worked there. She then still proceeded to clean the truck and said I'll be inside in a minute. It took more like 10 minutes before she came insidww we. Just the worst experience all around.Myrna W.

Hands down, this is the most amazing customer experience I have ever had. We had a family emergency that prevented us from returning the van on time, but Lanesha and the other employees (Cynthia, Jazmine, Rasheed) could not possibly have been kinder or more understanding and accommodating. In what was a terrible time for our family, it was very comforting to know that U-Haul had our back, and it was one less thing we had to worry about. I cannot sing their praises enough. Customer service is poor. The associate that took care of me was very lazy, unprofessional, and spoke with an attitude as if I was bothering her. She was kept sighing and checking her phone the entire time. I caught her rolling her eyes because I didn't complete the next step on the pin pad. I didn't know I was supposed to do anything. She assumed I knew, her lack of communication was irritating.MARSHETT F.

As I was returning the van (within 2 hours) and asked who to give the keys to, the woman walked past me and into the back. Totally ignored me. When I showed up no one was in the store. When the woman did show up she had her child with her, quite dangerous for the kid, a lot of moving vehicles in the lot. When I returned with the vehicles tried giving the key to woman outside who cleans vehicle she told me go inside and give the key to woman inside. Again I was told with total ignorance and no care for the customer whatsoever. So I return inside to drop key to woman who had child earlier and again I'm met s with ignorance. I quote â€œI'm not taking that key, I'm off the clock SOON take it back outside.â€ This would indicate you are still on the clock, essentially just do your job.NICHOLAS A.

Your service agent was very unprofessional in her appearance with a bonnet on her head on Sat. Sundays agent was poor in her dealing with the customers, the desk was unmanned and I was never greeted, can I help you or anything. I had to initiate conversation and she was confrontational when I overlooked an item on my contract. I finally got my van and the windshield was full of dead bugs and there was no wiper fluid. The van was not cleaned out from the previous renter, there was a sneaker and other items left in the back of the van. Unacceptable for a nice facility.Darryl H.

The lockbox was empty; no way to do mobile pick-up. Had to wait 2 hours for Store to open; store opened late. Truck wasn't ready when store opened. Had to wait. Sales associate had no information from online reservation except my name. The entire experience was poor. We reserved a small van at the South Philly UHaul location weeks in advance only to be told 2 hours before our trip that we needed to go to the Woodland Ave location and that only a 10' truck was available, the trunk lock of which was in poor shape. There was what look like coffee spilled in the vehicle, a quick wipe would've been nice, even though it did not interfere with my overall experience. I was charged for an extra after the employee said that the rental was extended. I called back to confirm the extension. Only to return the rental via the app and has changed a full day of rental. I was also lied to and told that there would be a 250 inconvenience charge .HARVEETA T.

I returned the uhaul at 5:54 and was told 'you will receive your receipt over email'. The receipt I received has a 6:08 return time. I will be following up to ask why there is a 6 $and 1 $missing / damage fee to my receipt when the vehicle was returned in identical condition as I receive it. I will also be following up why the additional mileage fee was 0,40 $ per mile when on the phone I was quoted 0,20 $ per mile for additional miles. The staff was very helpful, they always are but whenever you have an issue with Uhaul and something goes wrong with your reservation. Uhaul doesn't take responsibility for it, my last trip to Philadelphia I moved out of Kyu storage to get a free storage room which I didn't get because you're at 95 % capacity which was not told to me before moving from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to save money. Actually cost me more than I saved. Can not fault the location but U-Haul custom made trailers are not industry standard for a straight hitch and not industry standard for the safety chains. Could not connect the trailer to a class VI receiver Not not bither renting for U-Haul. I should have know better from past experiences. I am glad to know that nothing has changed in the last 2 decades. Company Quality is still the same same zero care for the equipment and zero quality assurance.Michael M.
At the time (7am) pickup, I return to agent to inform the gas gauge was below 1/4 tank of gas. I refueled before returning with ample fuel more then I started. I drove in total 7+ miles. and the vehicle is not efficient having 128,146. I owned a truck with a Hemi. I have the receipt which I offered during time of returning,The agent ignored my request to show I refueled. 7 miles total cost 10+25=35,00 $ its time to upgrade the fleet U-haul.WAYNE B.

The management there is unprofessional and argumentative. When I informed them that the lock was changed. I was accused of losing my key and had to go through the removal process. When I was waiting in line to pick up my reserved truck I didn't really want to hear the cashier on the phone talking about how she will f%# somebody up when she get off work. Don't like the staff very ignorant. For the type of money Uhaul charges for a truck, van or storage they need to hire some professional sales people.They mispronuce my name and had the nerve to keep laughing at my name. When I first contacted the Uhaul in regards to the unit the female whom answered the phone was very rude the next day upon arrival to check in the associate Cinthia was extremely disgusting and dismissive the lead associate or manager jamill whom was on duty I spoke with and cinthia continued to be combative while I was explaining to him what occurred the day prior on the phone because I Assumed cinthia was the same associate I spoke to prior sucks to say cinthia was supposedly not the associate there the day prior which shows there is a complete lack of culture in the facility it self with customer service I was completely disgusted to experience the same behavior twice back to back amongst these associates when cinthia returned from checking in the truck from the gentleman prior to me whom she was rude with as well she refused to service me and made me wait for jamill. Once jamill got my unit situated and I signed off and paid for it he asked cinthia in which direction was my unit because it wasn't visible on the map cinthia told him I don't know and I don't care find it for her to act in that manner not only was lack of customer service but she is not a team player. 1. I reserved a one way truck from DC to Philadelphia, but was assigned a truck that was located near Richmond, Virginia. Two plus hours south from my home and in the opposite direction of where I was going. 2. Then I was given a truck to use but I had to return it back to DC from Philadelphia. 3. My entire experience dealing with U-Haul storage has been frustrating and difficult. When I arrived to the U-Haul moving and storage of kingsessing after making an online reservation for a storage unit, I was helped by Jasmine who proceeded to tell me I had no reservation and nothing under my name, despite offering multiple times to tell her my reservation number. She then had me start from the beginning on a new reservation. Once this was complete, she asked me if I needed a lock. I explained I had purchased one already and then she explained that I should not use that kind of lock because it can be cut. I then asked to purchase the correct kind of lock. She then told me they did not have any but she would check the shipment that she was unboxing. I was asked by a different store attendant if I was given a card to access the storage facility and said that I was no. He said that I should have been given a card swipe. He returned to show me to my storage unit but did not return with any card. I proceeded to move in my belongings and once finished went back to the office. It was 6:30pm and the doors had been shut off, despite the office closing at 7pm. I then asked if she found any locks, she said no. I asked her what she recommended I do because she had told me earlier not to use the lock I had purchased. She stated that my options were that lock or nothing. I then went to return the U-Haul truck we rented while my wife went to speak with Jasmine. My wife asked her to contact her manager and she did. The manager of the Kingsessing store then said that she would be picking up the correct locks in the morning, that she would see to it that a proper lock was placed on our storage unit in the morning, and that she would hold the keys in her office until we would be able to return to Philadelphia (seeing as we were returning to NY that night and would be unable to return for several days). The next day (today ), I called around 11am check in on the status of my lock. I was told I would be called back in a half hour with an update. At approximately 4:30pm after still having heard nothing from anyone at the Kingsessing Store, I called again and was told that a lock had not been placed on our unit but one would be soon and that we would receive an email confirming this. I am overwhelmingly dissatisfied with the dismissive, unhelpful, and inconsistent way I have been treated. I also am incredibly upset that I was told I'd be called back multiple times after being out on hold for long periods of time and never called back.
