All 3 customer service reps at the location morning of March 4th 2021, were extremely rude and condescending. Will never rent from uhaul again. Budget will be my new rental place.

Policy's we're not clear, staff was unhelpful and rude, tried to rent van for deliveries through company credit card and the week prior we rented a van and they took the card over the phone as our location is in Toronto and I don't have the card on me as I'm a company driver. Tried to rent another van this week and they told me taking the card over the phone was against company policy so I had to use my own credit card. Also had to pay the entire fee before leaving the location even though in the past I was told they just need a card on file for insurance purposes but could pay anyway needed once vehicle is returned
I had a very positive experience with my truck rental. Check-in was quick and straightforward, equipment was great and the return process was smooth and simple. All the staff were pleasant and helpful! I wish there was more parking at this location however, its inconvenient to not be able to leave my car.
All aspects of this rental, from online booking, to registering, to returning the equipment, were very simple and easily done without issues. Additionally, the attendant was friendly and very helpful in answering my last minute questions regarding size of trailer door opening. All in all, an outstanding experience.

When I called this location before my rental date, the person who answered was actually very rude and snappy in their responses, and I saw it happen in person to another customer. The person who assisted me was fine, although I wish they would have explained key details about the truck instead of just handing it off and going inside. Not many people drive vehicles as large as they rent on a regular basis, so some general ‘tips and tricks' would have been handy. I am more likely to find a different location or rental company in the future after this experience.
The windshield was dirty, it was actually hard to see properly while driving, plus the staff forgot to put the dolly that i had booked into the truck that they prepared for me. Other than that all good, staff was kind and helpful

Van had not been washed. Windshield fluid was empty. Staff were ambivalent. I will be renting here again.
I was charged a $20.00 after service fee for dropping off the truck witch is stupid and a money grab... I don't have a cell phone so that was impossible for me to do. I would like that refunded to my credit card thanks
Everything was perfect. Booking online was easy. Customer service was good. Call in advance was helpful. Payment was easy. Truck was in great shape. Price was reasonable. Moving sucks, but thanks for making it suck... a little less!
Alway a good experience when I need a trailer or truck in a hurry just wish I could buy a trailer from Uhaul built the way they should I guess that why they last so long

Quick, friendly and clean service. Truck was sanitized well and customer service was top notch!
The only issue is that the windshield wiper on the driver's side did not make contact very well with the windshield so there was a large patch of icy coating right at eye level. It eventually cleared away with the defroster on high.
Truck was clean but in no working order to have been given it for the move. The front breaks were birning and made the trip scary. Glad I got great service thou will rent again even with the one issue it was picked up from my location quickly
I have purchased packing goods and rented a truck for a day from these folk. I never had a problem and the service was polite every time I was there.
Hello, The Storage unit was clean and I did not have any problem. But for three months they were charging me extra money and the manager instead of fixing the issue was insulting me that they did not charge me extra money until I called Uhaul customer service and they open a case for me and fixed the issue. Do not accept any pre-authorized payment. Thanks.

Please be patient with your customers and go through every details both inside and outside of your van before the van leaves your station. If a customer makes a complain, please change the van for the customer if possible and let the customer agree to the state of the van before he takes the van away. More, importantly, let the customer agree to any claims of damaged to the van before you put it into writing.
Just drop up. Staff member came out to greet me and I didn't have to go in. My phone and exciting info was enough. 2 mins. Great service

By far the rudest employees I have ever dealt with. Awful customer service. I picked up my truck yesterday and paid cash intentionally as I cannot use the credit card that U haul kept on file without authorization from a rental last summer. I called the location today to beg to pay cash and they refused to help me and made fun of me. I am absolutely disgusted.

went in person to make a reservation. got an email confirmation with contract details that do not match what was discussed. got an email saying that my reservation was cancelled even though i did not cancel it, turns out they somehow booked me twice. was told id get a call 24 hrs ahead as confirmation but never did. called in to confirm my reservation and found out the pickup time did not reflect what was discussed. showed up for truck pickup and credit card terminal malfunctions. requested km package was not on the contract. there was garbage in the truck, including a pack of cigarettes, so clearly no one has inspected it. paid 338$ at time of pickup but on return im getting another bill for 370$. you tell me. how was my perceived experience of this uhaul location?
always clean the pick-up inside, including steering wheel, door handles, rear view mirror, dashboard - and even more urgent during the duration of COVID-19

Clean your facility. Also, clean your vehicles. And last but not least, maybe find a facility that people can park at and have an option or leafing their vehicles while they pay hard earned money to rent your poorly kept vehicles that are far too often barely safe enough to be road worthy.
Offer another option besides. We don't have anything available when there was more then enough vehicles to rent on the property. The guys who were cleaning the vehicles when they came back gave me better news then the desk person. He wasn't very nice like his coworkers were.
When attempting to return the truck after hours through the online return platform, it would not accept my location. I ensured the locations services was turned on and have pictures to show the time of return etc.
Clean the interior of the truck
The storage facilities were overbooked and full, so we couldn't use our free month of storage there. As well we dropped our vehicle off only for them to tell us we should have been there 4 hours ago? We had no idea we had a time limit, nobody informed us at any Uhaul and not did this location call to see where we were.
Very quick friendly service. I was very pleased with the people that were working the day I rented. Only negative is that the UHaul truck itself was pretty rough in the driving area. It was clean but just seemed old and needed a few things fixed.

Customer service is very bad. I had to remain on the call for 30 minutes just to get in line.
The instructions for fuel was not clear and when I spoke to the employee about how they could instruct people about the fuel instruction he was rude. I simply said he could explain to customers by saying this part on your paperwork tells you how many litres to put into the uhaul. Instead of this is where your fuel needs to be at.
The customer service provided by UHaul was absolutely horrific. They overcharged us multiple ways, and they changed pick up and drop off locations. I will never use Uhaul again, and I will direct all of my friends and family to never use again.

Have your agent, as they're booking the reservation for the truck, remind, or point out to, the person renting the truck, that while a dolly and blankets are available in the back of the truck for a nominal fee, any rope for tying down the cargo must be supplied by the person renting the truck.
Staff at this location were grumpy and customer service was not there.
When I was at the location everything was amazing. Wonderful staff and very clean place. I had trouble contacting the office. I live 7 hours away so needed to speak to someone at the facility. I called at least 40 times at different times and no one ever answers the phone. It goes to the call center. The wait time can be an hour to speak to someone and then they are unable to answer the question because they are not at the facility. I even tried speaking to my local uhaul to see if they could get through. The answer was no. Even though it is a pandemic, I think the local phone should be answered. Thanks

Confusing as to why the u-haul system requires 3 phone contacts and 2 addresses to rent a storage room. Alternatively phone contacts I understand, but a 2nd address does not make sense. Staff was very helpful in the setup process overall!

The entire process from renting a U-Haul truck, moving my belongings into and out of storage was seamless. The facility is clean, well lit and secure. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend.
I had my storage rental and used it for only 9 days on second month and had to pay for full month did not get prorated I find that totally wrong u should tell customers before renting to them

We got off on the wrong foot bc of workers from the states when I called to reserve giving me wrong information and booking etc. The manager was good about fixing them and helped me to achieve plans.

Booking online wasn’t working at store, got the wrong locker at first. Was also told you dont get a free month of storage if with one way truck rental but say nothing about that online during booking!

The parking lot is often difficult to maneuver; sometimes the rental trucks and trailers almost block the entrances to the storage unit area. This makes it hard to park close to load and unload.

When logging in i see 'Next rent due: (date) 0$. the charge appears 1 day after the due date. So when i log in before the date I assume 0 is due, but then incur late fees as rent show AFTER due date,

The staff made an critical error and were hard pressed to resolve the issue causing me to return multiple times because of their incapacity to fix their own mistakes.
The truck that I rented was all bit up... nobody walked around the vehicle to show me those scratches and broken parts. It looks like employees are doing a favor to you
Got instigated about smoking the vehicle when explained I wasn’t smoking in It, a young guy looked at me and said are you sure you weren’t smoking darts. Not impressed at all.
Since there is a 200 character limit all I can say is that after my experiences I will never recommend u-haul to anyone nor will I use it ever again. It’s prettu clear no one knows how to do their job
Used location twice over the last 13 yrs.Moved out & was indicated that I would get a partial refund (by Mgr) for pretty much a month's rent.No contact from U-haul despite calling/Email them.Disapp'd.
The truck felt like I wouldnt make it across the street. Dangerous steering column. Poor brakes. The staff are cold too customer and each other. Not one smile or a thank you. I felt sad for them
The uboxs were late and I had a very difficult time trying to talk with a person at the Kingston location. Though I did speak with several people that were helpful this comment box does not have enoug
Staff at the facility seemed overwork and were always in a rush. I was never given a clear path between my u-box and my vehicle. I had to move around obstacles each time.

The Kingston staff are fantastic, and accommodating ... There is only one pragmatic online person ( her husband is in the Navy in San Diego) All the rest Should not be picking up the phone for you.

Have used this site for many moves in the past and would definitely return.
Overall U-Haul storage facilities are great. Clean, secure and welll maintained. I never got the after hours code so I was not able to access the facility. I only need this once so not an issue.
