Everything went well, the only part that was slow was that they didn't inform me that the name they needed was for the driver (my brother) and not mine the person who reserved and paid. So it took longer then necessary but luckily it did not make me late to the storage placeKEVIN V.

Try cleaning a truck. We are still in a pandemic and this truck was nasty. Used masks/ gloves in the back of the drivers cab, dirt and scum all over the doors seats and floors. Brown water in the door â€œpocketâ€. Now the back of the truck, I had to sweep so my stuff would not get rocks, sand and chunks of dirt and mood on it. All around the truck it was poorly treated, those little stickers with â€œxâ€ on them were falling off showing that you never fix a truck. Most likely just take the insurance and pocket it. Not to mention this truck has mechanical issues. Being stuck in park for 30 min, smelling gas and exhaust from the cab. You should not be able to smell stuff like the from the drivers box for safety.MITCHEL N.

The truck was not very clean, and taking pictures of the existing damage took a while because there was alot of scrapes, dings and tears on the truck body that were not shown in the images. The staff were ok, got us the van pulled up and checked in a timely manner. I currently live in Napanee, ON. I requested a UHaul from a Napanee location but I was sent to Kingston as they had more availability. I paid for the total amount and was told nothing else was needed when I returned the equipment, then a few days later I received an email saying that I owed over 42$ and would be charged extra if late. I was already in Quebec by then so I went to the nearest uhaul and paid it off with a receipt, now I received another email today saying that I owe over 70$. WTF ??? Not happy.Blaine L.

The on line site would not let me change the pickup time and I couldn't call the location where we were to pick it up. I was on hold 15 min and told she couldn't do anything to help me. I had to call the scheduling department, I couldn't be transferred there? I waited another 18 minutes on hold and finally was able to make the changes needed. The towing trailer I was provided had a broken crank, and the representative who was helping hitch it up commented on it, and then simply forced it into place and chained it up. This meant when we had to remove and re-hitch the trailer by hand when we reached our unload destination. They should have provided an alternative or at least taken a moment to inspect or fix it properly.Jonathan M.

The first truck we were given had to be returned when we discovered the type of damage to the truck frame over the cabin would have caused all of our belongs to become wet if we travelled in a storm. When we opened the truck noticed there was a bag in one of the corned inside over the cabin. We quickly returned the truck and when we got there were told that there wasn't another truck, this had been arranged long in advance, I voiced this was totally wrong considering there was another truck the same size on the property, I was given this truck and it wasn't cleaned out. The young woman admitted she didn't know why we even got this first truck it was suppose to go in for repair and shouldn't have been rented out until. Documentation from past customers and dirt left in the cabin. This week we returned the truck two weeks earlier than expected because of a friend passing away this past week for the funeral. No credit for less use was offered which didn't make sense. There should have been a credit offered. When I returned the truck one of your employees was rude about the gas meter, he couldn't find our information on the computer because your system was working because he couldn't assess his phone, it needed charged. I explained that I only had the old paper work with me it was in my purse. I explained I had just put over 8000 into the truck's gas tank but reading the meter wasn't easy while putting the gas into the truck and it looked like there was enough put in. We cleaned the truck to avoid any further charges, returned the truck two weeks earlier than required. This young man was going to charge us 45 then reduced this charge to 25,00 $ which is ridiculous, he was going by the price across the street. It was sitting just over 3/4 a tank. I couldn't remember where the gage was suppose to sit, but after everything we went through to get this dirty truck after the first being damaged felt this small amount of gas should have been waved. I asked where the manager was and this person wasn't on the grounds. I just put over 80,00 $ of gas into the truck, so I went back to retrieve more gas where I put 13,00 $ plus tax for the gas, I had to take the truck around the corner to another garage which had less for it's gas, the trucks gas gage was now higher than required when we picked up the truck but I had to go to another gas station because the one across the street was more expensive by quit a bit, and this young person admitted it's normally more expensive. When I returned the same young person just asked for the keys and didn't want to bother going through close off so I waited to speak to the young woman who helped us with the original pick when we first started this experience with Uhaul earlier in the month. When I spoke to her I stated this would have been easier in the first place if I didn't have to leave the property to retrieve more gas, this whole situation nearly took an hour and we cleaned your truck to avoid a cleaning fee. I wonder if that fee was charge to the last customer I have his paper work, we got their mess to clean up. This is the second truck I have had to rent trying to prepare a home and I have probably two more truck loads to do before we are totally settled into our new home. The first truck rented from this location wasn't a problem two years ago, things have changed for some reason with the manner in which people are spoke to and treated by your new staff when the manager isn't there. The problem with the location is that you must leave your own vehicle and cross in the middle of a busy 4 lane street. Crossing is dangerous.Michael M.

Not specific to this store. There is a horrendous procedure in place for an emergency situation which unfortunately was not rectified by any u haul representative. I must congratulate the two ladies who I dealt with from Burlington/Hamilton Traffic: Maria who couldn't have been any nicer or more pleasant and Sara who did her best to help me. When you send the text for after hours drop off it should state clearly that you have to take pictures of the interior and instrument panel. I locked the truck and put the key in the drop slot before clicking the link. It was only then that I learned I needed to take pics inside the cab of the truck. I did not receive the Fink tire blankets I ordered that cost 20 $. I tried to call but the phone kept going to the call Center and the wait was over 40 minutes, I tried to go online for my order to get service that way and there was not one. I forgot my house keying the truck and only realized when I got home an hour later. When I returned to the location the agent had the key. A simple call from the agent would have saved me time and anxiety. Further I called the location prior to returning to the location and was on hold for more than 30 mins as no agent was "available" to take my call. I got to the location and hung up. The 2 agents present were not on the phone and there were no customers. I'm not sure why my call was never answered. Lastly there was an additional charge to my credit card which I have no idea what it was for. The agent had told me I would have received a receipt by email. Too many errors. Not enough accountability. I reserved a 26 ft truck. I have my confirmation. When I arrived they tried to give me another persons reservation belonging to Thomas Bell I explained I do not know this person and he read me back a number I didn't know. There was so much confusion. I was given a smaller truck I explained what I had reserved and proceeded to show the staff my email and he rudely said â€œit doesn't matter what that saysâ€ And refused to even look at my email confirmation. I would have appreciated an apology for not having my reservation but instead I received an argument. After being talked to so rudely and humiliated I started to cry. I'm single and doing this move all on my own I started my moving day the worst way possible. This was the worst moving experience of my life. Uhaul ruined my day and my entire move. Understand busy time for them and many clients abuse vehicles and say nothing to staff I rent about 10 trucks or more per month out of U-haul for last 6 yrs This one was the worse truck I ever got No AC rear door hard t open ignition key difficult to remove along with drivers door hard to unlock As mentioned not blaming staff at location they are great Every once in awhile you get a lemonCHARLESH H.

But for three months they were charging me extra money and the manager instead of fixing the issue was insulting me that they did not charge me extra money until I called Uhaul customer service and they open a case for me and fixed the issue. When I was at the location everything was amazing. Wonderful staff and very clean place. I had trouble contacting the office. I live 7 hours away so needed to speak to someone at the facility. I called at least 40 times at different times and no one ever answers the phone. It goes to the call center. The wait time can be an hour to speak to someone and then they are unable to answer the question because they are not at the facility. I even tried speaking to my local uhaul to see if they could get through. The answer was no. Even though it is a pandemic, I think the local phone should be answered.
