Store personal would not allow me to use my debit card plus they required 3 references. Do they do all customers like that. Communication between the front desk and the trailer hands relied on cell phone text messages. But the workers could not hear their phones when working in the nearby shop. They were very helpful once I went into the shop and asked them to secure the trailer.MARK K.

The van rental had cockroaches crawl out from under the front drivers seat. Noticed this when loading the van up at my location after the initial inspection as they were not out when inspecting at the lot. The odd smell in the vehicle now makes sense as it was clearly treated for roaches prior to my rental and was not properly cleaned. Staff on site when picking up and dropping off where very helpful and kind, so just a cleanliness issue within the van itself that was not immediately apparent.Jonathan L.

There were homeless people hanging around which frightened my friends and I, because they would come up to us to let them in and we couldn't move out safely while we couldn't leave our doors open packing up afraid of thrives! And one lady that was putting her stuff in storage had her purse stolen! All this was reported and still issues being safe. So I when I moved out, I noticed a big fee on my checking account that was supposed to be most of my new apartment rent and now I don't have all the money now to pay! Truck size is misleading. A 15 foot truck but it can't fit a 12 foot board in it...? Including the attic thing as part of the box demisions is misleading and bad business. The website for after hours return didn't function so I was forced to pay a 20 dollar fee for the return. I have chosen penske over u-haul for several years. After giving u-haul another chance I think I'll stick with Penske. They are cheaper anyways.ROBERT T.
The truck was damaged on the right side prior to my usage and the radio did not work properly. It would not cut off and the volume would not go up or down. I was given a truck where the staff was aware that the radio was broken. It was on and loud and there was no way to turn the volume down or turn the radio off. It was definitely a safety hazard as I couldn't even hear my phone ring nor could I hear someone talking if they called me. Ahhhhh...overall, it's what to be expected at this location unfortunately and I always hope it's gonna get better but that's wishful thinking so where to begin... 1. Online check in process actually worked this time so that's a plus. ðŸ'ðŸ½ 2. Nobody ever came to hook up the trailer after waiting a good amount of time so I had to do it myself bc I needed to be somewhere. NOT GOOD! ðŸ'ŽðŸ½ 3. Dropping off the trailer was an even longer wait than picking it up and on top of that someone who came AFTER me didn't have to wait as long and got their trailer checked in and removed BEFORE me...AFTER I already walked inside to let them know I was there to return the trailer...totally unacceptable!!! ðŸ'ŽðŸ½ðŸ'ŽðŸ½ Would definitely appreciate some vouchers or at least a free rental next time I need a trailer but this was the worst service by far I've ever experienced in all the years of coming here.Kyle T.

The Uhaul 10 ft. truck had a faulty air conditioner that quit working. I have a documented health condition that makes it very difficult to breathe hot, dry air. When I reported the a/c condition to ask for approval for my brother-in-law to drive the vehicle, the assisant manager was very blunt in declaring that I would be charged for the use of the vehicle. I never even brought up payment or possible discounts due to losing the a/c on a day when the heart index was 105 degrees. There was absolutely no concern for my predicament with the faulty equipment. Based on my dealings with others at this facility, I would still patronize this location but would not feel comfortable recommending it to others.LORI R.

Truck was clean but didn't run right only used a little more then two hundred miles and used 1 and a half tanks of gas left my wallet in the truck called to let them know and the woman on phone was rude and saying the wallet wasn't in the truck but called back and a man went and found the wallet and was very respectful and said the would put it up for me to get the next daylauren S.

The truck was beat! There was dents on every corner, tears on both sides of the truck and the front bumper is heald together with pop rivets. Melissa from this location called me up an hour before the truck was due back and started demanding that I return it early because she had rented out to someone else when she didn't have a truck to rent out. When I brought it back the girl that checked it in tried to charge me a fee for put more fuel in it than what it had when I picked it up and then she tried to charge me for a second day even though I brought it back early. The only reason anyone should ever us this location is if it is close enough to save a good deal of money on the milage charge.Jeremy L.

Rental was very reasonably price but disappointed with quoted drop charge to leave the trailer at destination which would have been closer to the trailer's home state/location. Greater than 12 times the daily rental fee for a drop charge is excessive.KEVIN B.

The only problem I ever had with them is that my things were there for over 3 years I carried Insurance when I went a few months before I went to go move out I realize that my things were infested with moths. The insurance did not cover my loss I lost a lot of personal things clothing furniture so forth so I was very disappointed about that still am as matter fact. Cuz when I finally move my stuff out and move them my new home in my new garage I'm still unpacking things and they're still moths infested in my things so I'm very disappointed.Joy K. | Premières impressions

The worst part about it so far has been that I originally was not told the "free first month" was only for a 2nd floor storage unit. I wasn't told this until the day before I moved-in. I was also told 24 hours before my move-in that the size unit I wanted was not available. I should've been told this long before. I had to get a smaller unit, on the 2nd floor, and I'm hardly able to access it. My login card and code do not work, and the office people could not figure it out and ultimately weren't able to get me one. With hours closing at 10 and my work schedule weird, that kinda sucks. Not one employee was wearing a mask. When i walked in two employees stood there talking and when the third employee walked in he said, "help her". I reserved a furniture dolly and didn't receive it and nothing was mentioned about a credit, although once I mentioned it it was credited. I was given a truck with 7/8 tank of gas and when i turned it back in it was reported that it was empty, i drove less than 10 miles and also put more gas in so someone had to verify. I didn't have a lot of experiences with staff, but what I did was excellent. Same with the storage facility, well maintained, easy to access and safe at night. I think my only complaint is the lack of an elevator or something to access the 2nd floor with heavy loads. We had heavy boxes both up and down which was a hassle.Anna V. | Expérience générale

I rented a 5x5 unit from Kingwood, preparing for my upcoming move. They were busy, I was shown the unit's location, left with a stair ladder which I personally didn't feel comfortable climbing; told to check the unit and put the cumbersome ladder away myself; then meet back inside to get my access card (which I had to stand in line Again to recieve). He asked was the unit okay, I said, "We'll see after the 1st. I'm moving from a 25 x 10 unit of 4 years and will still need to keep a storage unit of some size.". I was told that other, larger units were available if needed, and I left the store with that 'option'. I was left a message 2 days later, and again on day #3 because I hadn't gone back and placed a lock, or any items into the storage unit yet. The number I was called from was unmanned? I never reached a live person at the Kingwood store... *Note* Most people move on or about the first of the month, which landed midweek just last week. I also specified After the 1st... Moreover, There was no call to alert me to the fact that the inconvenient, 2nd floor, 5x5 unit, accessible only by a jagged step ladder at Kingwood U-Haul was cancelled- exactly 2 weeks & a day into the 1 month rental... Thanks for the survey to let me know of the cancellation. More accessible units/contracts exist...
