I specifically requested that my truck be reserved to be picked up at fairway location and instead without notification my pickup location was changed. When I called the scheduling department they told me that they had no guarantee for my location which defeats the purpose of a reservation and they said that I should have received extra kilometers to compensate the added distance but when we checked I didn't even have that and so I had to request that add those kilometers. When I went to pick up my truck I noticed there was no dolly so I went into the front office and requested the dolly and again I hear the same story there's no guarantee it's first come first serve even though I made a reservation once again U-Haul has no idea of what the definition of a reservation is I rented a 26 ft truck for a reason because I had a lot of stuff to load and I had no dolly and I have a bad back and this made my move a nightmare when I told the representative at U-Haul to compensate me with the $50 guarantee refund he said I can't do nothing and he gave me a customer service number I called and waited on hold forever only to be hung up on once the line went through.

I have no complaints about the rental everything was great. Truck well maintained and ran very good. However, I was treated rudely by one young man who was working there. I was parking the truck when the man came walking towards me flailing his arms into the air. He said in a rude tone "park it over there" I told him that I didn't know where to park. Again he said rudely "Read the sign". I feel as a customer , after such a good experience with my Rental , to have to return the truck and deal with this totally ruined my experience. I spoke to the lady at the counter and told her about his rudeness, she said that she would tell him. When I was leaving in my personal vehicle he came out towards me looking and grinning . Totally arrogant. Not happy with this customer treatment.

I ended up renting a 10' truck for about 10 hours, the reservation said that my truck would be $50, and then when I go to pick up the uhaul it's now $260. After I've dropped it off at uhaul and put almost $90 worth of gas into the vehicle the uhaul was then $320. Basically the truck ended up being $400 compared to the $50 that was advertised to me on their website, and I was only notified of the price changes as they were being charged to my card. I definitely wouldn't recommend uhaul as it feels like a scam especially when they advertise the 10' truck on the street for $20. Uhaul definitely needs to rectify this issue as it is misleading to customers.

Didn't think it would be that much in cost!!!! Mileage is what's get you!!! Deceiving! 29,99 / day! Plus they should give the $ amount and not half full I prepaid and put in 10$ more n that was not even refunded ….in the final total!!! Money gauging especially as I am a senior ….. Will not recommend

Booked a furniture dolley with the rental truck. On picking up the truck was told that there was no dolley available. There were however 4 dolleys by the counter that were for sale. Surely if there are none available that means there is a shortage of dolleys and they should buy one themselves to supply to the customer. On returning the vehicle I put in fuel prior to the return, based on the 30km that I had done and assuming a poor 15 miles/gallon, but the fuel gauge never moved up. So on returning I was charged for extra fuel despite showing the fuel receipt. I was told I would have to put in a further 7 litres and would be charged for the extra km to do it. Since there was no guarantee that the fuel gauge would move on the second refuel it seemed safer to pay the fuel charge. The return agent was sympathetic but explained there was nothing he could do as it was policy. Very disappointed that despite having a receipt for the fuel and knowing the mileage there was no leeway.

Truck was not the truck share 24/7 that I had asked for, wanted 2 hours on the phone with customer service then got hung up on and had to wait another hour on hold to get told I had to go in the following day…. Not to thrilled…. Then got a rude email from the manager and again like the last time I delt with her nothing happened…. So never again will I use this location

I drove 19 kilometers, when I went to the gas station to buy gas, I bought 10 liters of fuel for the car, I think there is something wrong with that. Other than that everything was very good.

I was given the wrong truck (a different number and with different miles than on my contract). I did not realize this until after I left the site. I tried to call the location, but was forwarded to a center. The person was not able to help me and I was told someone would call me back within 5 minutes. That did not happen. I had to drive back to the pick up location and sort it out. Overall, this took about 1,5 hours of valuable time on a moving day. This problem could be solved if U Haul provided phone numbers for the specific locations. The fact that you don't is just ridiculous and inconvenient, particularly when a simple problem like this happens. It should not have taken that long to correct.

I was told by the gentleman I could drop the trailer off anywhere in Ontario as we weren't quite sure which location was closest to my newly purchased cottage. When I dropped the trailer off I was met with a $200 wrong location drop off charge.

The mobile pickup option is terrible. I was forced to put in the same information as I did on the reservation, then stand around waiting in the parking lot to be approved. The kicker is that I still had to go inside to get the keys! If I have to go inside anyways and spend 10-15 repopulating forms on my phone I might as well just do the instore pickup. I'll never use this option again.

Didn't have the equipment reserved. Staff don't seem like they want to be there. Staff don't know what they're talking about. Felt like I was inconveniencing them. Couldn't give a refund for the stuff I didn't get until 2 weeks later when I returned it.

They always provide truck not with full tank with unclear institutions how much to refill. So you will always refill more and they won't refund you saying “it's company's policy, bla bla bla…”. Blankets never in the truck, they hand it in to me and I had to carry them far far away to finally find where the truck was parked. Representatives, just don't care.

They have this rule that if you don't send them a confirmation if dropping truck off over night they charge you $ 20 extra automatically..I asked the guy politely and there was no wiggle room...I had lost my phone in moving so couldn't connect...I don't get it....the truck was due during their open hours so why would I need to confirm it's there? A bit of a money grab I think...otherwise price was ok

The policy of using a QRC code is great, except when it doesn't work or you don't have a phone that is compatible. Our staff member had to wait in your parking lot until after midnight before he could get someone to sign the vehicle in.

Hi, I just want to complain about the after check out system. I spent 45min on site to complete two check out inspections form from two different sources (barcode and website). The end result was a white loading screen at the end of the form. I assume it was completed but then was charge $20 the next day. MIKE at the location help reverse the charge but I have to notice it and head back to the location. Overall faulty check out system, made my first time rental a bad first impression. The angle of the loading dock lifts the floor of the truck very high off the ground, making it a big jump to get in or out of the back of the truck, but otherwise everything was great.

We couldn't figure out how to open the garage door to drive in to the bay to unload the car. There's supposed to be a drive-in bay for loading and unloading but the entrance is off a busy street with no parking and the driveway is so tiny the car doesn't fit. There's no keypad to open it. The keypad only opens the walk-in door nearby. I got inside and found my unit and lock no problem, but how can they not have a way to drive in after office hours? We have heavy things and they have no parking for cars. And there's no phone number to reach the office and ask them. You get the general customer service office. Customer Service said they would leave them a message to call me back to let me know, but no one has after two days.

I confirmed with an associate from Headquarters that I was to pick up my U-Box June 5 at 6pm. I arrived and the associate Paul refused to serve me without valid cause, confirmed by other staff. Awful.
