Julie LLoyd deserves a promotion and a pay raise. A huge pay raise! My personal experience as a long term multi-unit storage customer has been completely without issue and in a word, excellent, since she took over as mananger! She has always been eager to assist me with suggestions and/or solutions with regard to my storage needs. Additionally, I have rented rented U-Haul moving vans and trucks numerous times over the years and Julie has made certain that I had what I needed, when I needed it, without question! Many times when renting a truck, she has made a "preemptive" courtesy call with regards to my return time, to make sure that if I needed the truck for an additional day, it would be available to me. Most important to me though, is her kindness and eagerness to help in any situation. The phrase, "service with a smile", may well have been coined with Julie in mind, though that doesn't seem sufficient. The people at the service desk were friendly and profession. The trucks and equipment were clean and in good working order. The House to Home Movers that we hired thru your website were excellent. They arrived early and ready to work. Items were loaded and unloaded efficiently and with care. I would definitely recommend them.
This was the most horrible experience. I'm a business owner & I could not believe how this Uhaul location handled my service. Nothing was explained upon arrival. Once I was done using the truck, I returned the truck & got a call stating I would be charged all additional charges that was not explained upon check-in! I WILL NOT USE AGAIN NOR WOULD I RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND!

Both my pick up location and drop off locations were changed from my original confirmation and in both cases they were 15 minutes away further than the original confirmation.

Your systems were down when I rented the truck which made it take longer than it should have to pick up the truck. Also, the truck was only 1/2 full with gas when I picked it up and I thought it would be full. I tried to call many times to make sure I wouldn't get charged for only filling up what I used. Every time I called, I got the main recording for UHaul saying it would be 20+ minutes wait time. Really??? That's terrible customer service even with COVID. I ended up just filling it up to where it was when I picked it up, but stressed about it the whole time. Both of these issues seem to be a "corporate" issue, and not an issue caused by the local management. Sounds like Corporate needs to address themselves.

Julie, and her entire staff, are helpful, friendly and welcoming. And the facility, including the office, property and storage unit is cleaner than anyone would expect! I have used several storage companies and this location is above and beyond the others!!
Would have given 5 stars but was charged a late fee because the individual who initially signed me in did not check my new info on my card and update it on my record. The rental charge was declined because the card had expired. I was unaware that my info had not been updated when I came in to request a unit. I was charged a late fee as a result.

Julie and Maekala (spelling) are absolutely great at what they do. They ensured that I was completely satisfied several times with my rental and also ensured that the vehicle and auto transport was hooked up properly before I left the premises. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone and Julie and Maekala deserve a raise. They go way above and beyond their daily duties and deserve to be recognized for their efforts. Thank you.
He didn't even look up and when I asked him questions he was curt and abrasive
A woman called me on 10/30 who was incredibly rude and aggressive over the phone as we hadn't returned the UHaul yet. I explained three times that we had spoken to customer service earlier in the week and they had informed us we could keep an extra day and would put a note on the account. This part didn't seem to be relevant to the woman over the phone who angrily told me they needed it back right away. Down right rude, I will never deal with this location again.
Every time I rent from them it is a very pleasant experience.

Mold on EVERYTHING. AND rodent activity inside of the storage. The is ALWAYS a piece of equipment that is parked just outside of that unit.. That limits you from driving up close to access the unit

The people at Lake Norman UHaul are some of the most friendly people I have ever hade the pleasure or working with. And the facility is so clean. They even re-swept and wiped down the walls of my unit just before I started moving my items in!

Truck leaked and furniture was wet when we delivered load. Disappointing.
All the staff are helpful and courteous, offering knowledgeable service in a friendly manner. When I requested a change in my initially assigned storage locker, they accommodated my request without hesitation. The facility was always found to be clean with proper COVID practices evident. I definitely recommend this U-Haul facility. If you are planning a self move, check them out before buying boxes & packing materials.
Just wish there was a way to rent a one way motorcycle Trailer . I had to pull it empty for 2000+ miles.
The two ladies that work at this location are amazing but the young guy needs a lot more training in customer service. I hope corporate is reading this, employee's use personal phones to upload driver license's into the system. That's a very big privacy issue, this policy should be changed as they took a picture of my driver license without my consent.
Didn't want to discuss anything about the rental. I drove up and 10 miutes later, someone said, "leave it here." Average re: clean and inviting Personnel were absent

Rented a pickup ruck and returned it in less than 24 hours with a full tank of gas... So why was my charge over $100.00 when the rate is supposed to be $19.95? We only used to for about 20 miles within the Cornelius uhaul perimeter. Way too expensive for a pickup truck. Too many deceiving charges tagged on that are not fully disclosed. Will not be doing business with this company again not will I recommend.

friendly staff but... NO parking, so difficult to maneuver. narrow hallways, minimal carts for use, no lights in unit, light in hall not working, so had to use flashlight to find things in unit.

loader price was 50.00 dollars, I agreed. when complete I paid 50 and a 20 dollar tip he was happy. Store staff wants another 30 dollars has harassed me with text and phone calls nonstop.

The truck I used to move in had not been updated with workable wipers , as they were literally falling off as I took truck away . The young lady replaced them promptly though .
