Bryson was trying so hard to make things right for us, our reservation we had made on 4/14. For a 10 x 25 unit wad sold already before I got in there on 4/16 to pay for it, between Bryson and 2 other people, they tried everything to find me something, after being there almost 2 hours and several phone calls later we were given the option of 2 10x10's. 108 and 177 which are close together for the same price of the 10x25 We decided on that and was given the first month free and comments on our reservation for 110 per unit per month. We have already booked a Uhaul trailer to be picked up at an Orlando location for the 27th and then we will be moving our boxes and some furniture in. Bryson went above and beyond trying to make things right because I was very disappointed and he turned my disappointment into a better place.

Sue MThere was a grave mistake badge in processing my one way rental. I found out after I dropped off my rental that my credit card was charged for the initial trip allowance (1182 miles for $712,68) and charged again for 1060 miles at $1 150,22 because whoever processed me sent me out with zero mileage (after I was already charged for the initial mileage allowance of 1182 miles). I've contacted corporate and am waiting for my credit card to be refunded.

Carol RI arrived at the store at 6:50 am because I had a truck reserved that I was supposed to be able to check in via phone. However, the app. wouldn't allow me to finish the process. One of the employees that was waiting with us for the manager to get there also tried to get the app to work and she couldn't get it to work either. The manager of the store didn't arrive until 7:45 (45 minutes late) and there were 3 of us customers along with 2 employees waiting for him to open the door. I had movers coming at 8:00 which I was paying by the hour, I was going to have to start their clock at 8:00 whether I was there with the truck or not. Then, I had reserved a utility dolly but there wasn't one when I got there. I checked the mileage on the truck when I got in and it was at a quarter of a tank. I was told I had to put it back on a quarter of a tank when I got back or I would be charged $30 for fuel. When I returned the truck it had 50 miles until empty on it and when I took the truck, it had 44 miles until empty on it. I put more gas in the truck then it originally had. The employee charged me a fuel charge because the gauge wasn't at the quarter tank mark. I explained to her when I drove off it had 44 miles to empty and when I returned it, it had 55 miles until empty so it had more gas in it then when I drove off. She said she was sorry but it was less gas in the tank then when I drove off and she was going to have to charge me a fuel charge. I asked her how could that be possible if I had 44 miles to empty when I drove off and 50 miles to empty when I returned. There was more gas in the tank then when I left. The overall experience was rather poor. When the manager finally got to the store, he apologized to us several times, none of us acknowledged his apology. He looked like he had just rolled out of bed. His hair was messed up and greasy. Very unprofessional.

Nicholas HOverall experience was excellent. I had a 1pm. appointment. My car was in having the hitch at 1pm. Maybe 2 minutes after and I was on my way home by 1:45. Much quicker than I expected and job seems to be done perfectly.

Douglas TFirst, I had a very bad experience with Uhaul in Wildwood, FL, very rude (if you want details you can call me) This Uhaul in Leesburg was EXCELLENT! Excellent service, explained the vehicle in detail, asked about all my needs and very very friendly and seemed happy! Pick up and and return was easy and again very nice people, I will recommend the to all my friends!
Deborah OWe had a very good experience until the end. My husband called to have the containers picked up. The reservation is under my name, but he is also listed on it. They "confirmed" with him that the date was indeed the next day and he agreed. Next day came and went with no pick up. Same for the day after which they were originally scheduled to be picked up. When I called in to see what happened I was told that I never confirmed pick up. I asked what was the point of scheduling a pick up and my husband calling in if they weren't going to be picked up unless I confirmed it. She stated that all deliveries and pick ups must be confirmed the day ahead because so many people change their mind. I repeated my question as to what was the point then? I was extremely unhappy at that point and when I asked for STAT pick-up she couldn't give me a time but only a date. My suggestion is that you tell people that little caveat ahead of time. I would've given a different number then. No one ever told us that we had to confirm every one of our scheduled appointments for them to actually occur. No I answer "no" to was the staff friendly and helpful because of this at the end. She was neither friendly nor helpful.

Traveled a good portion of my trip in the rain but was surprised that the repaired roof did not leak. Thank you U-haul for providing equipment that was reliable and safe.

Plus slow customer service when arrived had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come to front counter when no one else was even on property or in store

When loaded it is hard to turn as all of the wheels do not roll equally or a few of them are stuck. When I moved in - I let the staff know about the problem. I made several trips back to the unit and also when I moved out the same Cart was still there and not repaired or replaced. One of the staff explained that "Management has known about the problem for some time" Cart 4 Building D. This is an easy fix - just go make it happen.

douglas P | Premières impressionsI was told by the 800 number it was a hard install for my hitch that I would have to drop it off so I was really worried about going without a vehicle yet when I got there the guy told me 45 minutes so I went next door to Olive Garden ordered my lunch before I got halfway done my bowl of soup 28 minutes I got a text saying it was finished they were so efficient I'd go back there for anything I needed I've been using that same u-haul center for gosh since the 80s and they've always been awesome that's why I keep going back!!!👍✌️😎
Steven WI had a hitch and wiring installed. It only took an hour to complete the entire process. Very professional looking and the wiring is convinetly located for quick and easy hook up.

Leo SOur appointment was cancelled the morning of the appointment and the next available appointment was not for another few weeks. That was not going to work for us. We cam in and purchased the equipment and installed it ourselves. One item that they said that we needed did not have a part number just a price of $25.00. We actually do not need that price and now can not return that item because it does not have a part number with it and we are now back in Georgia. Over all I am not very happy with our experience. I fully understand that emergencies happen but it sure was bad timing for us trying to get back home with a new trailer.

hank kWe were charged for fuel but when we picked up the truck it had no fuel. We shouldn't have had to fill it up at the beginning and then get charged at the end for fuel. Also we returned a trailer and a truck the same day a few hours apart but only received an email confirmation for the truck return. The whole website experience with U-Haul has been undesirable.

Clint NBesides having a disagreement with the General Manager, Michael, the policy of not prorating a customer that cleaned out his rental storage unit on the 5th day of the month, Feb 5th Monday, and was told that I could not get a refund (prorated) on the unused days, 25 days, because they don't go that! I asked what's the reason for not prorating? There was no real reason. I asked are you double dipping ( renting the space out after no return on my automated payment for the rest of the month), and no real answer! To me there is no reason that a company (U-haul of Leesburg Florida) of that size and known reputation would even consider that. But I was wrong and going through the process of doing something about it so this doesn't happen to someone else. Really, U-Haul needs to take unused money from their customers! Wow. I will be calling the BBB on this matter along with bringing it up at the city open to the public meeting.

The manager said ( that's to bad .. if it's not here you get charged an extra day .. if we have days away because of rain we would go out of business ) so I said nothing and walked out. However I contacted my attorney to let them know I plan to fund an inquiry to find out how many people had their safety put at risk because of Uhaul and this policy. Hopefully at the very least the manager of this location loses her job and the corporate office changes this policy. I can afford the extra day but some people cannot and should not be threatened to put their safety at risk because of it.

Had to delay my trip back to Jacksonville for a day to get this sorted out. I ended up with an outside unit since inside was now full. And i was not told of the access cut off time so was locked in past midnight. Had to call customer service and they were able to open gate.

The way the containers were placed made access/egress to my unit very difficult. The portable containers had to be moved in order to exit the facility. They were cramming 10 pounds of crap into a 5 pound bag. Management was no help. Find another storage facility, this one is a mess.

Then they would try to connect me again and we'll go back to corporate I never could get through to the main office in Leesburg , I finally had to go in and talk to them in person which is time I didn't Have . When I went in with a reservation number and everything it still took me over an hour and a 1/2 to get Is my unit . But other than that they were really nice they were clean. Why is storage not pro rated I should not have to pay for the rest of the month for an empty storage unit I'm no longer using if someone else moves into 137 or 113 before the end of the month that's basically double dipping. I would like to have my bill prorated for the half of the month I'm not using my storage units.

I put extra miles on the U-Haul truck and then when I got to Ocala he sent me back to Leesburg. At this time the manager changed her attitude and helped me. I am at this point wasting money putting the trailer stuff in a storage building when I could had left it in the trailer and would had cost me less money. I am so upset over this whole ordeal.

SpaceThey had bolt cutters with them and they were watching me as I was moving into my storage unit. The young man went into a storage unit ( I'm assuming it was his) and then proceeded to change into new clothing right there in the hall of all the storage units. The employee that was with me said nothing to them and it was a little bit uncomfortable. I'm not comfortable that somebody was allowed to go into the storage units with a bolt cutter knowing that they could've cut anybody's lock and there's no cameras inside of the building. Other than that incident everything went smoothly and the staff was pleasant to me.

Cried for 30 mins because I was lost. Spoke to a rep that was nonchalant and put me on another 20 min hold in the middle of nowhere. Minding you I've been already driving for 7 hours. I was ready to get to storage and get to my home after only to find out the address listed was 1 hour and 6 mins away from my actually destination. Ran out of gas in the middle of nowhere. My husband had to leave me and my children to get gas because we couldn't tell anyone where we were. SO I NEVER MADE IT TO A UNIT I PAID FOR. Drove an extra 1hr on the uhaul truck that I know their going to make me pay for. Which is completely unfair. I was given 131 in miles and was only driving 88 miles. Now idk how many miles is on there because of their address was messed up. Complete ripe off. $278 for uhaul and $127 for a storage I can't find nor use.

The only frustration I had was not being able to get through to the store even though I called the number to that store. After several attempts & having to call other stores & finally being able to be taken care of through the system but not through that store was my need taken care of. I live a couple hours away so when I need to reach them it's frustrating not to be able to get through on the phone. In the end it took another trip in there after getting my stuff out to close the unit w/ in the 10 day prior requirement, because I wasn't able to get through on the phone. The staff was nice & helpful & the unit was clean, dry & well lit & I used a Climate control unit which seemed to have no problems with that. Over all I was happy.

But then you run into the ones that just really want to ruin your day. Like going in in finding out the handle has been broken off the door going into your storage unit and being told we have to wait until the manager comes back off a vacation to have it fixed. In 2 weeks later it's still not fixed. Or walking into the climate control building and it's smelling of cat pee P. And being told it's not my fault I didn't put the cat in there! But my all time favourite thing of all was when the guy in the next unit that it was great to poor stuff over the wall into our unit. We pay good money to have our belongings kept safe & available not to be abused.

Tytianna B | Premières impressionsWith the exception of being locked inside the fence overnight with both of our dogs and our then 9-year-old daughter after we paid the upgrade fee to allow for 24 hour access, our experience during the term of our agreement went relatively smoothly. That was until March 1st of 2020 when we moved our belongings out of our storage unit and notified staff that we no longer required use of the facilities. At that time we were paid through the end of February of 2020. The on-site manager even let us borrow a screwdriver and a broom to sweep out the unit before we left. So there is no question that we notified staff we were ending our rental term with Uhaul at that time. Uhaul has consistently continued to charge me monthly rent and just this month completed the process of "selling" our belongings within the unit (it was empty) to apply toward our balance despite several emails informing them that the unit had been empty since 03/01/2020. According to their records I now owe them over $2000 for a years plus worth of monthly storage fees for a unit I did not use in that time frame. So, I would say my overall experience with renting a storage unit from Uhaul of Lady Lake went about as poorly as could be imagined. I fully expect I will need a lawyer to clear up the mess they have created.

Alexandrea here at the Leesburg facility was very friendly, helpful and professional in every aspect. For example, she used the forklift to move our two X-Boxes closer to the storage units door to save us time and steps with the unloading.
