The truck was dirty when I picked up at the shop. Now I'm being charged to clean the truck. I only drove 10 miles. I didn't even get it dirty because it was raining. This is highway robbery. Never again.

This is a comment for the company, not for the location. I made my reservation over the phone a couple weeks early. They gave me an excellent rate over the phone (almost unbelievable). They then proceeded to change my pickup and drop off locations multiple times in the 24 hours prior to my reservation, including changing my drop off date (from a 6-day rental to a 1-day rental). At the last minute, this ended up doubling the charge. We had no choice at that point. This makes Uhaul seem like a dishonest, greedy company that wields power over its customers in order to overcharge them. If that's not the case, something needs to change.

This is the second time I'm having issues with this location. Two weeks ago was the gas that I returned as was given to me. I took a picture that was what served me and today, my returned is due tomorrow at 9:26am. I brought it this evening Around 5:55pm and they are charging later fee. I don't understand what is going on here.

The 6X12 Trailer I rented served it's purpose. It needs to have better Tie Downs than the "6" six weak/cheep D-Rings on the floor, and glued-on wooden strips along the walls. Technology has progressed far enough to support beefier Tie Downs in the trailer.

Things that are highlighted on your papers are tab thru so quickly I didn't understand what was being said. Also was unsure of where I left the truck was ok or not as they say don't block entrance. Is that entrance to the door or parking lot. I'm getting of buildings makes it diff6for people to park if your parking a 20 footer. Lastly there is no sign at the front door or the instructional video saying where to walk to place your key in the drop box. I wasted 25 min or so going thru that process.

To be truthful in gas inspection. I took the picture of the gas before leaving then got a gas into the truck before making the drop off. Was so surprised to the a negative results and being charged additional amount of money. I have both pictures I took before taking and when I dropped off. Is a shame

I initiated a pickup before business hours but was forced to wait an additional hour to pick up my rental without explanation. This set my entire schedule back and forced me to extend my rental for additional costs. If this location is not capable of honoring the 24/7 pickup, then it needs to inform its customers.

My issue is that I spoke to Jennifer prior to turning the vehicle in. I was NOT supposed to have more charges. I could not return the vehicle yesterday because you GAS TANK was almost impossible for me to locate. I had to wait til after work this morning, call the locations, Jennifer kindly walked me through how go find the gas tank. Then I was able to get gas and return the car. So I need my bill adjusted.

The text with a 3 hour warning to call back or the containers cannot be dropped off or picked up is not enough of a window -- people are moving, could be on an airplane, driving, etc. Additionally, one of my containers arrived with a different lock than I had placed on it. This is (1) concerning because it means my contents were unlocked at some point and (2) unacceptable as someone changed the lock and I did not have a key to it.

Only complaint is that the storage doors are not high enough. We had a club cart on top of a trailer but did not fit thru the door. We ended having to rent 2 storages and to top it off we were charged admin fee twice. It would have been nice if one of the fees could have been waived.

Meri Payne (Lanham, MD facility manager) has always been terrific. She stands out as one of not only your best employees (I've dealt with many, many U-Haul employees over the years, usually for equipment rentals), but one of the best facility managers and customer relations people I've ever met, PERIOD. I do not now her personally, I simply know how she's treated me over the past 3,5 years and she's terrific. Re. U-box employees. Generally, a good experience. The billing got a little weird; the fees were misapplied at first (computer error, I was later told), but folks like Jennifer (MD driver/dispatcher) and Chas (MD dispatcher) were very good, very thorough! The former was very invested doing her job well and thus made sure to stay in contact. I greatly appreciated it. I conferred with the latter to clean up my additional account needs; she was very supportive and effective.

Fraud alert! I believe this rental experience is fraudulent. I was charged improperly and incorrectly. I went into 5055 pan America blvd to settle issue. Jamie was rude and did not want to help me. She was trying to change my mood and get me worked up by telling me I was disrespectful while in fact she knew they messed up. I have never received service this poor from Uhaul. This transaction needs to be investigated.

At 1st I've made reservation to get the storage as well u-haul truck but when I arrived at the storage a young lady was helping me and never finished the processed regarding to have the key for the storage but gave me the car key for the track, however when I came back another young lady was helping me but couldn't find my info & it took her almost half an hour or maybe more to do the process so I can get the storage key & my time was limited at the time & both us was frustrated but the young man with the dreads who was doing almost everything going in the storage was helpful but not the ladies & as of community leader I was late 2do community work, in the end I was happy it was over & the purpose of reservation is to have everything done before arrival & that didn't happen & I was told a limited time to return the truck, so pls take care of the matters & hoping u all well in this very difficult time thx

When I arrived the representative was on the cell phone. As I approached, she paused her conversation and though she asked how can she help, I since she was not very much into customer service. Why do I say that? When I asked about prices and space sizes, she simply pointed from a seated position rather that getting up and directing me. After signing the agreement, she handed me my paper and gave me unclear directions as to where my storage room was located. Most of all, she didn't explain to me that I need the access card to get into the building. I actually didn't notice the access card till she caught my attention as I was walking away and she said I needed it to get into the storage area. It took me a while to find my storage locker and when I returned to ask about rather there were elevators in the facility, she paused a cell phone conversation and gave me the look of, "now what does he want?" She could have explained from the beginning that my locker was on the second level and there were no elevators or ramps to get there, only stairs.

The registration agent at the facility rude and dismissive and the employee that was on staff w/ her first 7 minutes of my intake was spent trying to tell her that I wasn't there to pick up a truck. She refused to except information from my registration for the storage space, after an exhausting 7 minutes we began the process to secure my space. We get to the space there's a green tag on the door I cut the tag a deafening sound blared over for 3 mins. Now we make it back to the truck while we are off loading a staff member comes thru not once but three (3) times(each time he came through he found something laugh about or make a commit) to to tell us the large sliding door will lock at 7 and all moving will be thru the small door. This was undeniably unreasonable request that brought on a toxic level of stress to beat the clock. We did just that packed the unit wrestler the required lock we were forced to purchase despite the fact we came w/a lock for the unit. What if we didn't have the money to support the forced purchase. You are dealing with induvial that are in tight situations make quick move under direst to force people to purchase a lock that truly doesn't properly fit the unit it took two people to close the unit one to fit the small facing into the hole and force the key to close and the other to level the door so that the lock fits yet another example of unnecessary stress added when dealing with the facility. So we are done, unit is closed then we remembered we needed to get an item . We unlock the unit that deafening sounds starts and never stops, we scrambled to find the item the was sound blaring it distorted us we couldn't think after leaving the facility we had head pain that was unbelievable. It was a horrible experience to say the least from start to finish.

The first month free promotion wasn't really clarified at the time of move-in, other than that, the staff was helpful with every issue that came up during my time using the unit. The price was affordable as well throughout the entire term. Would recommend.

Staff was friendly, but several times staff was not able, or unwilling, to help with the task at hand. Customers should not hear employees say, "that is not my job", which I did hear.

Parking is TERRIBLE for the amount of traffic coming in and out of there. You need better and more carts for transporting. Wait time is always more than 20 minutes or more in line for assistance.

The only complaint I have is that my unit was, at some point, overrun with mice. Droppings were everywhere when I came back to it. Also, there was a dead snake in my unit. My things were safe though.

My experience with Uboxes was terrible. Chaz was great on my move in but I cannot say the same for others. Unfortunately she was on vacation when my move out was scheduled.

The staff is extremely friendly and the facility is clean and well kept. This is a busy location and there never seems to be enough staff to service the amount of people.

The man that was the manager is rude. I had my unit for a few years. He sent me and my daughter emails when I was 1day late to pay. Said I had to pay a late fee. I usually paid my bill on time.

Uhaul service and representatives was very helpful, my only problem was that I had to find my own truck, I thought the staff was suppose to get the truck for you, I had to go around the building

We set up a reservation for a set time to move into a storage unit, however, we had to wait hours in line due to under-staffing at the Lanham, MD location. As a result we lost our help for our move.
