There is too much confusion between locations. I had to submit my reservations multiple times. After making my reservation I followed up and checked on them 2 days later and was told I didn't have a reservation and redid it. I was jerked around on the pick up location. The location just a mile away had the equipment I needed but they gave me a pick up location 20 miles from my house. I spoke to the manager at 17 and he was able to work with transportation to get my P/U location at the closest place. Not real happy with anything except the actions of the General Manager at 17.David G.

They should double check the reservation along with the rental time frame needed. I asked for 2 days and they only gave me 1 day and then over charged me for the rental after putting a deposit down on the rental. It should have been only 38 $more... I tried to change the rental date online but the site kept freezing and giving me issues to change it. Then they gave me 4 different price quotes and I don't have that kind of money to be throwing away. I have a total of 3 storage units at this location. I'm not working right now due to a concussion and I'm trying my best to get everything in order but for this to be added stress when all I needed was an extension til today from Saturday due to having no way to get the truck off the auto transport.Michelle W.

I had rented a 5x8 enclosed trailer for a 24 hr period. I picked it up at 7:00 am on a Tuesday knowing I would be returning it sometime that evening. I ended up returning earlier than anticipated (around 4:30-5:00 on same day I picked it up). The person on staff who helped me with the return unhooked the trailer and said I was all set to go and to look for an email. The next morning I received a call from this location asking where the trailer was. I called and spoke to corporate letting them know the trailer was dropped off the same day. I also noted the person on staff looked very busy. She stated she put notes in the system and to not worry about it as the sfaffer must have forgot to perform whatever he needed to do and that the general manager at the location would reach out to me. No one ever reached out. This is very frustrating seeing as your business is rental of equipment and then a burden is placed on the customer because someone did not follow through to make sure things were closed out correctly or view that the trailer was indeed in the parking lot before calling a customer asking when the trailer would be returned. Then to not receive a call for closure in spite of corporate stating I would was a little worrisome.Jeffrey B.

We used the app check-in, and it skipped information about which truck and the combination of the lock. After spending time taking pictures and answering questions, we had to go in and stand in line to finish the check-in process. Thankfully it was well staffed. The truck definitely needed some attention, and the specifics were noted when I brought the truck back. We were traveling several hours each way for our move and the way back Memorial Day traffic added a few more hours, so we were really late coming back. The person who came out to me when I was returning the truck was cordial, listened to my concerns about the truck and even checked out what he could at the time. I was expecting to be met with a stern message about the time, but instead he was so polite and kind. I really appreciated that after a very long day.Carolyn C.

Had a great experience renting from uhaul.steve B.
Same truck assigned to us and another couple, and there were no keys in it, so could not finish mobile pick up. Had to then wait in line for 20 min to get help because there were only two people staffed on the Sat morning before Memorial Day. They gave us a new truck, which did not start so had to go in and wait again. They gave us a 3rd truck but the lock wouldn't open so we had to wait in line again. The 3rd finally worked but it took 90 min to pick up our truck; unacceptable. The truck reeked of smoke - people should not be permitted to smoke in trucks! The 3rd truck was 3/4 full of gas; we drove it ~40 mi and it was down to half full so we filled it with 20 $of gas to return it to how it was when picked up. The check in process was prompting me to pay for fuel, so I went in yet again for help. She said it was at 7/8 full (not 3/4) but wouldn't charge me just this once and told me to click the link next time. I have no idea what link she is talking about - I did not receive an email with a link. The staff did a fine job helping, but the location was severely understaffed for a summer Sat morning before a holiday - it should not be a 20 min wait for help and there should be a separate line for mobile check in customers with issues needing support. For the number of times one of the two had to go out to the lot to help people (hitching trailers, opening locks, etc) you really need an employee outside offering customer support. Also, fix the app so it doesn't assign the same truck to two customers at the same time. I was really frustrated to lose 90 min of time moving with people waiting who I had lined up to help; should never take that long to pick up a truck.Jennifer E.

The man that I was helped by was very rude. (Red beard, bigger guy) From the moment I sat down to pay for my truck he had an attitude. This only got worse when I explained to him that on two separate occasions the staff at this location told me I could keep the uhaul for as many days as I needed as long as I was ok paying a daily fee of 30 $(the price of the truck). He responded with â€œI don't know why they told you that but if you keep the truck past 24hrs I'll happily charge you a 170 $feeâ€. There was no room for compromise, no compassion. Just get out of my shop. The next day when I went to drop of the truck the same red bearded employee was there. I waited 8 minutes in my truck until he came outside. As he came out I said â€œgood morningâ€. He replied with â€œleave the keys in the truckâ€ then walked down the lot to another truck. Besides the awful customer service the truck was like trying to drive an excited puppy. It pulled so hard to the left that the entire time I was on the freeway I had to hold the steering wheel to the right. If I could leave 0 stars I would.Schuyler T.

Customer service was slow. Also reported a mileage issue before I left and this was not corrected. When I try the return with my phone the system will not let me put the correct mileage. had to come back when store was open to have this corrected.Alberto A.
The staff member that helped me with my trailer rental did a nice job. Unfortunately, he didn't have enough qualified support staff to make things run smoothly and this caused delays for quite a few people. I was 3rd in line when they opened and I wasn't checked out until 9:39 am .Kevin K.

This has been the absolute worst experience I've ever had with uhaul period from the start of getting a call 15 minutes prior to the time to pick up the uhaul telling us it won't be available until 10:30 to sending us somewhere else to only get the worst truck on the lot wrong information & charges ect... Faith was wonderfully helpful. Very thankful the manager gave me a mattress bag that Uhaul Corp failed to ship to me. Check out process was very easy. Our only issue was navigating the lot and getting the alphabet lock open to get the keys. Overall, satisfactory experience.Kathleen W.

Very upset customer!!! You need better supervisor and leadership!! Supervisor is never around to help employees, he rather leave to run errands that can be done on down time!!! Store never answers phones, I was on hold for more than an hour waiting to be connected to store then once did I try calling and not once got a hold of someone!! Can't do much if the person working doesn't know how to get you into the building under your 24hr access card. For that happening now I couldn't unload my truck, couldn't pack in more loads to unload within my time period. Had to put all moves on hold and was told come back tomorrow because someone else will be available to help me because he doesn't now how to let me in!! So now I have to pay over another 100 $to rent a truck when I could have gotten this all done within my time? Absolutely NOT!! The storage facility was always over 80 degrees sometimes between 95-96 degrees even though it would only be in the 70s outside. The bathrooms were always out of paper and towels and the garbage was overflowing. When we asked about it they blamed it on not having any housekeeping staff. there is people living in their units and when you tell the staff they shrug it off. it says on the wall contact your manager if its over 80 which i notified them several times nothing being done and its 68 degrees in the office,. Im going to warn everyone what a horrible place this is, the floors are never swept, there was a sock in the hallway for 2 months its still there which proves the floors are never cleaned !!!! Mice present in my unit and damage to my belongings with droppings throughout my boxes. Didn't realize that there wouldn't be air conditioning in a climate controlled storage facility. The truck we received wasnt cleaned when we got it also they charged us 46 miles were they didnt read the mileage before and I only went 5 miles . They kept saying that this truck shouldn't have gone out but they are the ones that gave it to me . Great experience for this first-time Uhaul user. We rented a 20' truck and car transport in Arizona, drove for four days to Wisconsin. Very pleased with the beautiful and modern facility, the convenient location, and the smooth transition to locate our furniture at this Uhaul Storage. Tim and his crew at Uhaul were extremely helpful in getting us settled into our storage unit. Tim talked us through all our concerns. We are confident we are being taken care of at a secure, clean, accommodating facility. We also were able to use their recommendations for movers to unload the truck, which only took an hour. The truck garages were fantastic for unloading with the outside temperature being in the teens. Also very happy about accessing our indoor heated unit at my leisure using the heated garages.
