Multiple issues. Truck sounded like it was going to die. Truck was on empty when I got it. Truck did not run well. The company called me to say I never picked up the Truck. I had to take several calls to explain I had. When I returned it no one came to get the Truck so I had to find someone to give them the keys. Went up front to make sure everything was squared away. Got a call the day after that they never checked the Truck in and it was Mia. I had to call them to explain I had returned the Truck and I had handed over the keys and went up front to make sure everything was fine. Terrible experienceKayla W.

People working there are probably trying their best but they act stupid and incompetent! the experience was terrible and would chose a different location before going here again. I uploaded my id to save time at the counter per Uhaul site and still had to present ID to them at the counter. Then I returned the vehicle an hour early and two hours later I got a phone call from counter guy wanting to know when I was going to bring back Van!! He said he looked and couldn't find it. I reserved a Uhaul on a Wednesday and received an email confirmation saying I would get a phone call Thursday to confirm. After no call received Thursday, I called Friday and was told that location would not work and was given a new location. On Saturday I went to the new location but the previous customer hadn't returned the truck. I called Customer Service (CS) and was rerouted to another location with a bigger truck for no extra charge. I got to that location and was told the big truck had just been returned and required maintenance before it would be approved to leave. I called CA again and was rerouted to the New Circle location. I had been sent to 4 different locations before I was given a Uhaul even though I reserved a rental and confirmed it in the days prior. This had me driving all over town and adding to the stress of moving. When I got to the 4th location they debated even to let me take it because they had another person who specifically scheduled for that location and I was only rerouted by the CS office. The communication of the staff was not great about which Uhaul in the lot I should even take. I also spoke with the manager on-site about requesting a credit because I had been sent to so many locations and she said â€œthat was wasn't my fault. You need to talk to the main office since they did thatâ€. At this point I should have had the Uhaul an hour prior and didn't want to argue. I left with the truck, flustered and in a hurry because my moving team had been waiting on me. Uhaul also had taken the hour of me locating a truck out of my original reservation time, only giving me 3 hours with the truck instead of 4. I rushed around town to load and unload as planned and managed to get the truck back after 3hrs and 10 min to be as respectful as I could to their times but completing my need as well. This location claimed I brought the truck back with less gas even though the needle was almost exactly where it was when I left. They also recorded me bring it back over an hour later than I actually did. They tried to charge me a 2 day rental fee. And there was no communication from the staff when I returned. I am very frustrated and disappointed over how this has been handled so far. I am working with another manager and hoping to receive a call in the coming days to discuss correcting my original bill and the poor service I received. This means my 1 day stressful move is extended to multiple days because of clerical errors and staff who do not care about the customer.Stefan S.
The vehicle was a piece of junk. Alignment was completely off. The gas gauge never did indicate completely full only 1/2 tank. Excessive fuel usage. Tremendous anoint of vibration in vehicles there was no pick-up . Original agent was high on drugs. Should get refund of at least 1/2 cost for complete inconvenience.John S.
I had a problem with the counter person marking the check sheet fuel as higher than it actually was and saying they'd charge me X amount of dollars per gallon if I brought it back below that mark. I took a pic of the gas gauge as soon as I turned the vehicle on and recorded the mileage also. Been ripped off by certain Uhaul locations in the past!Steve S.

when i came to the facility i was in line forever. the repp told me it was because he was new . he couldnt even type on the computer. but i looked past that because everyone has to be trained. when i came back i once again waited in line for over 20 minutes, and was then greeted by a lady who i later found out waS a manager. she was very rude not only to me but also her staff. one of the staff members knew my brother who came with me to give me a ride to leave . they spoke and caught up for maybe 3-4 minutes her not knowing thats who i was with.. she then gets a personal call on her cell. and compeltely stopped servincing her customer. all the while her personal call was on speaker phone and shes laughing telling them they are on speaker and not to use swear words. they used swear words any way. she disconnected. then resumed with customers even tho maybe 4 people were waiting. me getting impatient i asked was this what i needed to do to drop the truck off. she says no just drop it in the back of the building. i do so, and get turned around bc i paid cash. and now more customers are waiting inf ront of me. finally im next in line and this same lady said "well i cant help you anyway, because i dont have the cash drawer" so i gentleman to the left of her tries to help me. still observing her, she did indeed have a cash drawer bc she collected it after she took her last customer, and the rep i went to did not and had to call her. she was very unproffesional. and really should not be working with the public......krishone P.

My wife did not have a good experience when she went in to return the trailer for me. The person that was dealing with her went out to discipline his employees instead of finishing with my wife. Also, the person was using fowl language while complaining about his employees in front of her. I had a good experience when I picked up the trailer, so I was sadden by her experience.Stephen R.

When making a reservation I added an utility dolly and appliance dolly . During pickup I was told that they don't have an appliance dolly which we really needed. I went through a lengthy process of providing all my information when I made the reservation online however when I came in and went to the counter I had to go through the lengthy process again and answer all the same questions I already answered online including a copy of my driver's license. I don't understand why I have to go through the same process twice. I had my reservation confirmation printed out, that's all they should need. They should be able to put in my reservation number and pull up everything. Only thing that should be done at that point is payment and handing over the keys. The most frustrating situation... I don't own a credit card or a debit card from a bank. i called ahead of time to see what type of payments where accepted The uhaul employee that answered my phone call specifically told me that I can use a prepaid Visa or Mastercard, as long as it's not a gift card it is the same as having a debit card. She also told me that I could pay cash except I would have to pay $100 deposit for using cash. I loaded a Visa prepaid card and went to the uhauj store, tney tell me that my card won't work as a debit card because its a prepaid card. Then I was told that I would need to pay $100 deposit for the truck and $60 deposit for the utility dolly. We were there forever until the manager figured out how to let us use our card without paying a deposit.Aya K.

The truck had a whole on the top of it and rain got inside of the truck. I used two 26 foot trucks to do a in town move but had the trucks for 10 days because of when I was able to move in the home. With the hole and rain, two chairs and several boxes of clothes were ruined. You can tell that someone has tried to patch the hole serval times, but still has not been fixed. Luckily I had insurance on the truck. I have not yet had time to call corporate to complain and figure out what they can do to make it right. By the way if you're picking up for a reservation, please go at least 30 min before because the staff didn't know how to use the computer and no one seemed like they knew what to do. I went into the store the same guy came in and asked was I just dropping it off and took the keys, later I get a charge for after hours drop off which I dropped it off during hours! Brought truck back with a quarter tank as when picked up. Was sent electronic receipt that charged an additional $58 for gas. Went back to business, reported problem. After approximately thirty minutes was told the charges would be removed and a new receipt would be transmitted. That was yesterday, April 13, and no correction as of 10:40 am today. I realise there is little I can do short of never using U-haul again and, of course, telling every one I can possibly reach which in this modern age has become quite easy.Arthur B.

Checking into the unit was fine. Poor guys computer went down halfway through and I was almost charged for the unit when it was supposed to be free but it was his first time checking in a storage unit so I understand. It was afterwards that the problems started. Due to work it was a couple days before we could put stuff in the unit. We get there and there's a lock on the unit. We go to the office and turns out one of the employees had rented it to someone else in the couple days before we unloaded. After much confusion they tell us "sorry a new employee we've had since NOVEMBER has been doing this to people and she was fired yesterday." If she'd been there since November then she's not "new." So they rested us another unit that was NOT indoor (which we were supposed to have) after making the comment of "because we were upset they almost didn't want to rent us a unit" and trying to say we owed them because it was a bigger unit than the original one. Then as we unloaded the employees kept driving by and parking and sitting in their personal cars watching us as we unloaded. Needless to say we DID NOT use the lock they gave us and we put 2 locks on the unit. We also drove by the unit almost every night to make sure it was secure. After 2 weeks they call and tell us we can't have 2 locks on our unit because it was in our contract and if we were ever delinquent they had to be able to put their lock on the unit. We told them ok we will be moving out in a couple days anyway so we'll take care of it then (this was on 3/28 and our payment wouldn't have been due until 4/12 and we're living outside of Lexington). They said that wasn't good enough and we had to take one off that day or they would cut one off. I understand if it was in our contract (I have not double checked that) but to be honest if you can cut one off what's the big deal anyway? So we had to rent another UHaul (which we wouldn't have had to do otherwise and we DID NOT rent from this location) to clear out the unit because these people had acted suspiciously when we were unloading. We were clearing it out after office hours and again the employees were driving by and parking and sitting in their personal cars watching us load everything and then they followed us halfway home after we left before making a u turn and leaving. Craig was not helpful at all. My reservation could not be found, he offered no help and said I had to call your 1-800 number. I was on the phone for 20 minutes. While still on the phone, Zane the new guy offered some help and found my reservation in under 10 seconds. Zane was GREAT. Craig came back to the desk and finished up my check-in. Once in the parking lot to hook up my trailer lights didn't work. Craig said that for $10 he would let me drive off the lot. I said I didn't have cash and he left the lot. Another gentleman finished hooking up my trailer and was very helpful and friendly. The lights were functioning before I left the lot as the pig-tail was corroded and the leads just needed to be brushed off. In short, Zane and the gentleman in the lot were VERY helpful and friendly, however Craig was by far the worst service I've ever had and because of his lack of effort to find my reservation, I spent 50 minutes at your store unnecessarilyAdam R.

My unit was broken into by an employee that was recently hired because there was no way access to the unit could have been granted by anyone else. My lock was cut off and the locking mechanism on the door was damaged. I had to buy a new lock because the staff would not provide one for me. The staff was unprofessional at best. Children and friends of staff would be at the front of the service desk. It was hard to find staff at times. Long wait times in line. No communication when my storage locker was broken into. I still don't know what my access code to the unit is. Rental unit had a lock on it for non-payment, then I was on hold for 15 minutes while trying to reach the office, but then ran into an employee who then removed lock on an empty unit....?? The unit was what I wanted. The curtesy staff at the desk were not at all friendly and actually quite rude. A staff member who worked outside the desk area was friendly and helpful which made up for the other at the desk. I have to ratings My pick up and my drop off My pick up was friendly, maybe not the ideal uhaul, but I would still go back My drop off in Lexington was the worse, after I stored my load, I drove back toward the office where I saw I guy sitting and I asked do I turn it in here,, now my car was still attached to dolly, and he said drop off is here you have to go all the way around the building to here, so I did, when I got out and he was still sitting down, took him 5 mins to get up and come over to me. He then said are you going to unload your car here, you could have did it there and pointed to where I asked him if this was the drop off, so now I'm getting upset, so I said, I asked you when I was there, we are all standing there, finally I said when are you going to take the car off the dolly or do you want me to move the truck again? He said that isn't my job it your job, no it isn't I didn't put it on I'm not taking it off, that's your job. So now he is loud and I'm loud, the other guy that was there said I'm getting the manager, so she comes and takes the side of her crew and said did you pay to have it taken off. You didn't even asked what happened the the rudeness of you employees. Again I didn't put the car on and I will not take it off! So she said she was calling the cops, ok call them they are going to make you take the car off the dolly, I then called customer service and complain and going to call the other number she gave me and complain to corporate. So while I'm on the cell with customer service they unhook the car half way and tell me to take it off their dolly and leave property. Now my biggest problem is about to happen. I get into the car and try to drive it off and your professional uhaul employees didn't unhook my car and my car was damaged by the dolly being still attached to my car. I will now have to go to a competitor and get a truck and a storage locker, because I do not want any of my money to go to that location or your business in Lexington, Ky.Amy Dawn J. | Premières impressions
The person who checked us in was not friend, and she was not wearing a mask, which shocked me. It wasn't until after I finished checking in that she told me there was an option to check in online. Also, during the check-in process, I had to answer all the same questions (name, email, phone, driver's license, etc.) that I'd entered when I first made my reservation. I tried to let the front office my unit was clean and ready for rental but was placed on hold twice and no one every came back to my call. I finally cancelled my unit prior to my 30 day free offer but was charged the next month anyway. Keypad was always broken and I had to wait for someone to open the main door for me. there needs to be a map of the facility on the outside. i didn't know where my unit was, because the inside units are labeled (the outside of the building didn't have any identifying marks) so i had to go back and ask for help re: which building??? only to come back AGAIN. because there was a lock on the unit. the rep advised me that locks are kept on the empty units. ok cool. but they already saw me, the same day, to purchase a unit. they saw me when i had to come back to ask where the unit was. and then a 3rd time to ask to unlock it. plus with the restrictions they stated that only ONE customer can be in the store at a time. i had to wait a very long time each time just to go in there to ask these questions. i did attempt to contact the 800 number. but the only thing they could do was tell me someone would call me back. which never happened.Tamar S. | Expérience générale
There was 1 customer at a time in the store. I completely understand this is the new norm. But, that meant 1 person would take on average 10 mins to be served. Once, I got my storage unit there was on outside map to figure out where to find my unit. For all units inside....there's no way to find it besides asking. So, I had to go back and wait in line & they told me it was attached to the building. Again the garage like door was closed. Why not open it when they knew I was going to be moving? Finally got the garage like door open. Ok, now there's a padlock on the unit. Had to go back and wait in line to have them remove the padlock.
